As such, I was trying to encourage some self-awareness in the readers of the forum with my sarcastic comment. But it doesn't hurt to spell it out as well. So for the attack dogs out there: please do visit local scenes, but try not to screw them up.
Okay, now that you've clarified your point, I agree with you.
I apologize for nipping at your ankle. :) No hard feelings?
Been chatting to sweet young lady who works in a large mall. A prospective "freebie" for my next trip.
She wanted me to add her on her MSN. Told me her name there was "pukyu". She wanted to know why I was laughing when she told me her MSN name.
Did you tell her that's what you had planned to do?
No hard feelings?
Nope :-]
Went to Snow White massage last night, very happy. Everybody really friendly, looks like they are working hard to make it. (RTFF for location etc.)
you think foriegners should stay away in order to preserve the Sutthisan scene in its pristine stay
Heh, it's not like it's ideal now.
- I like the Thai style of getting a bottle of whisky for say 600B and never seeing the glass less than half full, always with fresh ice.
- But I don't like the fact that mixers and ice keep on coming whether you order them or not.
- I like the fact that the big beers cost less than the small ones on Sukhumvit.
- But I don't like the fact that you get an undecipherable bill in Thai at the end, instead of chits on your table with every order.
- I like the fact that you get a girl to sit with you for the evening, instead of little piranhas nipping tequilas from every sucker they can spot.
- But I don't like that fact that they skulk by the door instead of taking some initiative and moving around so you can see them better and maybe have a chat.
- I like the fact that you sit on a couch with a table, instead of displayed on a little stool.
- But I don't like the fact that the only the first two rows of tables are within good viewing distance of the dance floor.
- I like the dim lighting.
- But I don't like the wrong-way lights on the dance floor that shine in your eyes and silhouette the girls.
Some of the bars are better than others, T-DED in particular has had a makeover and is the flashiest. Yet I still prefer a couple of the dingy ones :-p
Haven't been to BKK in a about a year. Usually stay in Plaza Athenee.
Next to Plaza Athenee was a low rise block that took up the corner of Wireless and Sukumvit and inside there were two or three ok massage places.
Last trip looked like they weere going to demolish the block tho.
Can anyone advise if all these places have been demolished?
Yes, the whole block was demolished months ago - it's now a large construction site. The signs on the site are extremely vague (I think they refer to it as "Ecoplex Witthayu" or something), but I was told that they're building a 5-star hotel. Some of the businesses that were torn down moved up Phloenchit to Mahathun Plaza (former King Power Duty Free), but I don't know whether that included any of the massage places.
Ok here is what has happened to a friend of mine. He picked up a street girl near Therme late at night. She spiked his glass of canned cool coffee in his room. While she showered he fell asleep. Then she robbed him .............

Also, I never have seen any LB in Biergarten, or Gulliver. So, to pick a girl there is pretty safe in that regard.
They say they are not allowed, so yes you should be safe...and no, Ice isn't a LB although she's got that slightly hard look on her face that might make someone guess so.....but you know what...the other night i was in the BG and i ran into a gal i know from another bar who is a LB (with a full change operation). I never knew she was a LB when i first met her, as do most others..i've even asked a good number of Thais who would never know either...i'd never seen her in the BG before, but she said she'd come to talk to a friend....so there you have it, and never say never....
From your attack dog style response it is clear that you don't read so well.
I'm a foreigner myself, and I discovered that scene through seniors here and elsewhere (deeply appreciated), and have posted about it too.
I do think twats should stay away, particularly twats with too much money and attitude and who look like me, because their behaviour will influence the way I'm treated.

I'd like to think there wont be too many visitors...i mean if even your average expat is getting up to Sutthisan too regularly, cant expect a tourist to. With the necessity of some Thai and getting out of the average Sukhumvit comfort box, I dont think overcrowding will be a problem....heck, i've been trying to get friends to go to the lesser known massage places on Petchaburi for years, and still almost never see farang faces when i go to them.

Never underestimate the power of this board. There are thousands that read it, and of those who have the opportunity, many will act on the simple possibility of encountering something new.
You may be surprised to see a lot more farang faces there next weekend.

Think there was also a locksmith, translation place, and maybe a photo shop. All demolished and something new is in the midst of being built.

Hi,
I'm coming to LOS next month for 3 weeks, starting in Bangkok, never been to Thailand before and not yet sure how to spend my time, I'm 28 and coming alone, just for mongering, relaxing and having a good time.
I've been reading these forums and many others trying to plan a good trip but I still need some advice, How to spend my time.. I'll be staying in lower Suk near NEP at the begining, thinking of maybe spending some time in Phuket (patong), is it worth it going to Pattaya for a while? I only have 3 weeks and then back to the real world.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Ok, it's maybe off topic, since there is a special thread about indentifying LB, anyway I think the responce should be here.
I thought I have a very good LB radar, but in the meantime I made some new experiences. I am at the moment in Pattaya and in Walking Street are tons of LB's. The most are easy to spot, at least for experienced mongers.
Though a few days back I run into two very pretty girls at walking streets. From boths I wouldn't guess that they are LB's, but I got a doubt, since normal girls whose are so pretty do not work at walking street. You might find them in Freelancer Spots, like Candy Shop, Insomnia, or the like. At least they wouldn't approch men on the street for a short time.
So, I asked the one girl if she is a Ladyboy? She said no. I said, you are a Ladyboy! Than she commited that she is a ladyboy. The second girl said that she is a Ladygirl and can come even to my hotel, lol. I guess when they are cut off their digs than they might get an ID in which stand that it is a girl. Which means she can go to your Hotel without getting trouble from the staff and it might means you could find such people in places which are normally no go areas for LB's.

If you are going for 3 weeks, then I suggest you take in as much of the country as you can. Do the sightseeing most days and the mongering at night. You can get a Thai Air Pass for cheap and go to Chiang Mai, Phuket and nearby islands, Pattaya etc. If you can hook up with a good TG you can take her along. However, you can always find one at every stop.
Have fun.
