Would someone please tell me how to find girls on facebook? I've gone back many pages and can't find much. Also, I will be in Poblado on Thursday for at least a week if anyone wants to meet for a beer.

I have family living in Medellin as digital nomads and they have integrated into the normie culture of Colombia so I have met a good deal of college educated girls that speak decent English. These girls are not prostitutes in the slightest, nor are they looking for sugar daddies. They are the same as any working professional woman or college girl in your country of origin. They are generally looking to date hot, fit guys around their age, or at least not what they would consider "old". Some do like foreigner guys but you need to speak Spanish. Many are from the middle / upper class, which means you are going to have to pay more to date and you need to be someone to potentially introduce to the family (so many of our black and darker brothers may be in for a hard time).

But the crux of your statement is true. If you go out to Colombia to meet these women, you will 99% be disappointed. You need to be a permanent-ish resident (I. E. Not living here for fun), you need to know the right people to get introductions, you need to prove you're not a foreigner just trying to get pussy, and you need to know Spanish at an intermediate level. I have hooked up with a few of these girls over my time in the area, but I argue that the juice was not worth the squeeze and there were very clear signs very early in the relationship that they are looking for something serious at the end. Latinas, especially in this class (all over South America), have a very different expectation of dating than you might see in the lower class.

100%. I've met a couple who speak good english through both pros and dating over the last 4 years. One is a fairly well known prepago who is past her prime at this point and branching out into tours due to her skills. I'll be returning to Medellin in October for my second time and despite all the talk about how run down and overpriced the Hotel M (mansion) is, it's security and convenience was so good last time that I've booked them again. This time I'll do a day trip to Guatape since I didn't have enough time last trip. It looks fairly easy enough to get to via bus and back plus I'm assuming that Guatape is too small and touristy to have any mongering action (please correct me if I'm wrong) so I'll opt not to stay overnight there. I've already done Parque Arvi as well as Comuna 13 so I guess there's nothing else that interesting from a tourist point of view left in Medellin during the daytime hours except the odd casa visit for us mongers.

Great stay at the Nutibara Hotel, thanks to all who recommended it. Got the top floor units with the patio and it was great. Awesome view, decently nice room, renovated bathroom, comfortable bed / mattress. All in all, great stay, especially for the location, close to all the action!
