Suggest:

1) Read the forums
2) Read up harrythehorse (google it) and margaritaville or margarita station or jimmy regina
3) Based on what you read in 1) and 2) above, formulate some specific questions. For example, people will waste their time telling you the price of beer if you don't drink, or telling you the price of cheap hotels if you want top end. So if you read the forums you will be able to formulate questions that can be answered in a meaningful way.

Just arrived in Ac yesterday. Here are some quick observations:
- staying at central park hotel. 35 usd for their regular rooms. Staff very friendly but they nickel and dime you to death by charging you for toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, etc.
- started barhopping right after lunch yesterday. typically stayed for 1 drink, about 20-30 minutes per bar. Until 1 in the morning. 1 beer per bar over such a period is a fair number of beers, so I don't remember a whole lot of details about the bars. Will keep a log on my phone today.
- only saw 1 bar with thongs and that was crystal palace. Everywhere else it was short shorts and bikinis
- dollhouse has elaborate costumes and dance shows. But girls on the fat side and not in thongs. I thought it was lame
- the western food is decent in Ac. I don't know why some people complain. It's not gourmet but then it's not gourmet prices either.
- I am Chinese. Everybody thinks I am philipino. Maybe it's easier if I just tell people I am Korean.
- speaking of Koreans, I didn't see any problems. The ones I saw came in groups of 2-3, certainly not large groups. They were not aggressive or rude. They did like to throw money with pingpong balls, throwing peso bills at girls,etc. Mind you, that's based on 1 day's observation.

What do you mean? Are they supposed to give you all that stuff for free? They are leaving decent stuff in there. But for me, I ask them to take that out as the women thing it's free and start freeloading.

It depends on the country and hotel standards, I guess. In some hotels, you get free (cheap, disposable) toothbrushes, toothpaste, and small bottles of (refillable) shampoo/conditioner. China, Hong Kong and Canadian hotels for example.

Central Park hotel does give you 3 pieces of soap. Complimentary.

its good to read here that it seems all okay now with AC. I read in another formum that Noynoy comes back with his pockets full of money for the Phils people...god bless US, even they did a mistake with the pinoy flag LOL.
I am still on my business trip in Europe but next month looking for a flight back to the Phils and I can say that reading all the stuff here makes me excited again, because I know how it is. You feel like in a candyshop.
@wadmann, no offense, but Central Park and PB Hotel, which belongs to the same owners are top notch value for money. Of course they charge you for the mini bar and the toilet stuff. If you dont like that you can also ask the maids to take the stuff out of the fridge and your bathroom so you can bring you own things in.
Maybe you just like my friend, who used to take out all the free stuff from the cr as soup and the little shampoo bottles hahahaha...no offense ok? Your comments about koreans were also funny. I know for them its very popular to ring the bell and throw money to the stages. They need some kind of attraction. Well, I have no problem with that. I rather save my money for pussy and beer :D
@sirlancelot I guess I have an idead about Ms Perfect from DH. Your right that some of those "spotlightdancers" from various places just more tall, but very seldom more beautifull as the rest. Of course there are some stunners among those, but they are very chosy for the customer and you did right to cut off any conversation with them if they start asking you right away for a drink. That pisses me off also, but there is always a reason behind this attitude. Maybe she has somebody waiting for her at the bar already or she is just spoiled from other customers who support her attitude. You have to know that with so many bars in AC you have so many options to find a girl who suits you, who gives you a good GFE and looks pretty too.
According to the numbers of girl you mentioned dancing on the stage, that number seems to me pretty low. On a normal day I see like hundred girls on the stage in Atlantis, 30 plus more girls on DH at the basement and 20 or more girls up and then changing shifts.
With the upcoming high season for ANgeles city starting now end of October, November to March I can tell that you will see very pretty girls ariving in town.
I dont know why is that, but I know that some of the stunners rest during low season and start working again at the end of the year because they need the extra cash for xmas.

Just a couple of weeks and then I am back. Cant wait.

Blink, no offense taken. Maybe I should have explained myself better. I went to a 7-11 store today, and compared prices. Central Park hotel doesn't mark up prices for toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo. Or maybe a minimal amount, certainly not the rip-off markup that is common with hotels worldwide.

Prices are clearly marked for each item, so it's not trickery either.

But what I was expecting was that that the hotel would provide, free of charge, some free (cheap quality) toothbrushes, a tiny tube of toothpaste (per day) and shampoo. I suppose what Central Park does is more or less the Philipine standard. It's just that I am not used to it. It's a personal thing for me.

It's understandable that people in AC take me for a Philipino. But it's getting tiresome I tell you. They start speaking to me in Tagalog right away, and I know exactly 2 words of Tagalog. Not just in bars, but also at the SM Clark mall. On the plus side, I feel a lot safer walking on the street, even at night, because of it.

By now, in the bars, I now longer wait for girls/waitresses to ask or assume whether I am Pinoy. I tell them first thing that I am not.

Some more observations:
- the number of girls in bars are par for the course. I wouldn't know myself, since I am not an AC veteran. But the AC veterans (including 2 who live in AC) who are showing me around tell me so.
- the regulars in AC tell me the girl situation for them is even better than before the raids. They all have a posse of girls they can call and have them come over. And girls are more eager now.
- Dollhouse and Crystal Palace had thongs/t-backs. None of the other bars I visited did
- I shot some videos and took some pics in Doolhouse and Crystal Palace. Nobody objected.
- AC makes for a good holiday if you like to drink. Visited about 12 bars today, had 10 beers (2 bottles of water in last 2 bars)
- In Rhapsody bar, the virgin/cherry girls have another trick. There is only 1 price level of barfine in there, but yet girls' ID tags have 2 different colours (in Crystal Palace white tags are 1500 pesos for barfine, green tags are 3000 pesos). Most are white, but some are green. What happens is that ALL girls there wear 2 cards/tags: white with their photo, name, etc. And a green one with some other info. The "V" sign designating virgin/cherry is on the white tag. Non-virgin girls wear the white tag at the front (with green tag behind it). Virgin girls cover up the "V" sign on the white tag by putting the green tag in front.
- Some bars are skittish about barfines or EWR (early work releases). In a few, if the bar people don't know you they tell you "no barfine". And if you ask: "what about EWR?", they play dumb, pretending not to understand you. Regular customers who have been going there for years have no such problems; the mamas and girls just tell them straight what the barfine/EWR is.
- still have not made it into Atlantis bar. and it's supposedly the biggest of the show bars.
- Jeepney spaces are tiny. I am not a particularly big guy, but even I feel constricted inside a Jeepney. It must be hell on guys who are 6 feet plus. Jeepneys are cheap though, 7 pesos for a short trip.
- police presence on Fields and Perimeter (Don Juico) road are minimal, no more than usual
- I do wonder whether the Koreans in AC speak English. Cause I see some of them talking to the girls for up to half an hour. Surely the conversations must be more than "you go with me?", "I go", "you go with me?", "I go", "you go with me?", "I go", etc.
- SM Clark mall is about a 15-20 minute walk from Central Park hotel (near Fields avenue). It's a good place to kill some time.
- Philipinos in AC are very friendly and polite. This contrasts with mainland Chinese people, some of whom can be downright rude.
- Roadhouse bars had a lot of guys. Went in around 10 PM. More guys than girls. Seems it's a popular place for guys to just hang out, eat some food, and meet up with their buddies.
- don't wait till too late at night to look for a barfine. After 10-11 PM, there aren't many good ones left.
- it's just funny to hear girls say "porriner" instead of "foreigner". And it's not like they have problems pronouncing the "f" either. Anybody knows why this is so?

It's difficult to estimate what percentage of the bars I have visited are skittish about barfines, since I do have some longtime regulars with me. If bar staff see we are friends and yapping, they may very well assume everything is OK. If I had to put a number to it, I would say 20% of the bars.

The "Philipino factor" may play a role too, although a white friend (non-regular) was stonewalled in the same way.

Most bars will answer your questions about barfine/EWR directly. But if not, the magic words now seem to be "you go with me?" (to the girl). And then ask how many lady drinks you need to buy for the girl (usually 10, sometimes 12).

One more observation:
- Dollhouse and Crystal palace are physically connected. You can walk from 1 bar to the other without going outside. AND you can take your drink from one to the other, and in doing so save yourself from buying a drink at the second bar. It seems condoned by management of the 2 bars, the waitresses won't hassle you.

I made short notice (12 hours) reservations via email with Margarita Station for a car from the airport in Manila to AC. I received a call at 9 a.m. the next morning to confirm an 11:30 a.m. pickup. The website says, "We do not accept reservations FOR NEW CUSTOMERS received within 36 hours of their scheduled arrival times." However I was already in Manila and included my PI phone number in the email. The cost would be 2400 pesos.

I wish that I had known that the airport was in the opposite direction of Ermita than AC. The reason being is that I checked out of the hotel and took a taxi to the airport to meet with a wingman who was arriving and to get the ride to AC. Had I known I would have just had the car to AC stop by and scoop me up after he had gotten my wingman from the airport.

As I had read in the forum the traffic in Manila was hellacious. Our driver tried to cut corners and made an illegal right turn in downtown Manila. Too bad some authorities saw it somewhere along the line. 5 minutes later we were passing some checkpoint and the traffic officer motioned for us to pull over to the right. Well the driver went to the right but he did not stop. He kept going.

About 5 more minutes had passed when two guys on a motorcycle caught up to us and made us pull over. I couldn't resist taking pictures of the event, although sneakily. The driver wanted to argue with the traffic cops. He showed the ultimate resistance. It must have taken them 20 minutes to finally issue him a citation. Then he refused to sign it. The officer was trying to force the pen into his hand. After about 5 minutes of arguing about not signing the driver finally decides to do it. Imagine 3 horny wingmen getting delayed an extra 30 minutes on their way to AC.

When the driver got back in the car he said that he had to go pay the ticket so he could get his license back. We were like what the fuck dude. He said that he could have paid 200 pesos but now had to pay 600 pesos because I was taking pictures. Although I was pretty sure the cops didn't see me taking pictures.

None of us knew where we were going so it seemed like we were riding forever to go pay the ticket. I told my wingmen there was no way we had to ride that far for a ticket so we must be on our way to AC. About an hour and a half later we got off the toll road in Dau (pronounced Da (rhymes with la) -oo (as in boo)). And 10 minutes off the exit we were at Central Park Hotel in Angeles. The total time from the airport including stopping for the ticket was 2 hours 34 minutes.

There are only 82km (51 miles) between Manila and AC, but the traffic on the streets of Manila really increases the time it takes. Once out of Manila it is smooth sailing.
