They also have marinated steak that is quite tender too.

It was quite good..[/QUOTE]I like solomo redondo cut from butcher shop, tender and can be eaten raw / blue (though I usually add a lot couple spoons of fat on top of it, too lean). Most of the local butchers do not sell my fav ribeye cut for some reason.
Most of the picanha cuts I encountered here (called punta de anca) were too though for my taste (but I like my stakes 1 inch thick and blue, so marinated or aged might be different). Bucher can slice it thin if asked though ('mariposa' I believe).
Aged steaks give me the shits here more often than not for some reason (both ones from jumbo / carulla as well as from the more expensive stake house I got for about 100 mil, though it tasted good.).
Most of the beef is grass fed here afiak which makes for a tougher steaks.

Besides the casas and cheap streetwalkers, El Centro is an interesting place to visit on your trip. It has a different feel than Poblado or Laureles. In the daytime, there are a lot of people walking around and I don't think it is unsafe to visit in the daytime. The locals like to go shopping here and there are plenty of dollar type stores here. There are a few 1000 peso stores or 25 cent stores and even a 750 peso store or 18 cent store. I did buy some key chains for 18 cents and you can pick up cheap household supplies here. Don't expect high quality but it is the typical junk you find at dollar stores back home. There are also plenty of barber shops for $4 to $5 but don't expect them to speak English.
There is also plenty of places to eat for a reasonable price.
You can combine visiting El Centro with trying to use the Metro if you haven't done so. I always find it fun to try to use public transportation in a city that I am visiting. Go on the internet, look at the map and figure out where the Metro station is and where to get off and you are good to go. It is about 80 cents per ride.
And yes, you can also combine your visit to El Centro with a visit to those casas everyone talks about or those streetwalkers for 50 mil or so.
Cheap shopping, cheap food and cheap chicas. That is a good combination.

I have an unexpected window for a trip in a few weeks. I think I've almost decided on Havana, but Medellin keeps nagging at me. I haven't been yet, but put off a trip recently due to the high number of gringo deaths at the time (I'm an obvious gringo with very little spanish).
I'd planned Hotel M, but upon reaching out to them, even just a few weeks away, pretty much every room appears to be available. I don't want to be the only guest in the hotel! Are ladies still present on at the bar? Is there some Hotel M controversy I've missed that mean no-one goes there anymore?

Whenever I am in Medellin I will go down and order 20 mil of solomito and cook it in my crock pot on low along with some onions and potatos from the fruteria shop. It always comes out tender and full of flavor. I then make up my own chimichurri salsa to go with it. It is out absolutely delicious everytime and for like 22 mil or $5. 50 usd for a complete dinner, sourced from local ingredients, you just can't go wrong.

Another good option for good cuts of beef is ternera a la llanera. The best I ever had was at a restaurant of which I can't remember the name in Melgar, Tolima (South of Bogota) and the 2nd best was at a restaurant in Villavicencio called Mi Llanerita Tradicional:

There are at least two different solomos, that I know of, solomo redondo and solomo extranjero, I like the rodondo most.
Love my crockpots. Slow-cooking can make the naturally tougher cuts to be super tender and tasty (well depends how may hours). I usually do tabla, pecho (brisket) and ribs in mine. Morrillo and / or tres telas are great for making a stew in crockpot as well, supper fatty and tasty.

Usually there are also one or two 'parrilla' places in malls, though often nothing special taste wise, overcooked and overpriced but I do partake sometimes when out and about.
Too bad nobody seem to fry in tallow or lard here, not a fan of frying in seed oils. French fries deep-fried in tallow are great, as is chicken.

There isn't a website per se, but there is a WhatsApp chain (probably several) with a huge number of girls sharing info about clients. They mostly report bad experiences rather than good ones. The good experiences are shared among friends and not with the WA chain.
I was shown some posts on a chain by a girl I've known and seen for several years.

I have heard this from a girl I see a lot and 2 experienced mongers in Colombia. I would bet that Mr E is on the shit list. The first room I looked at, the window shade fell down when I tried to check the one window and see if there was a view. The second room, which I took, the safe did not work despite 3 different people trying to reset it. And the music was blasting from down below in the bar until 1 am, I could not sleep! Try to get a upper floor room if you stay there and demand towels that are not rags.
Very poor maintenance yet they want Gringo prices. And the furniture around the pool area is soiled and out dated. Slum lord quality. Ghetto style. Yet they want top dollar.
