I was there the whole month of October last year and I clearly remember it was celebrated as a puente holiday which means from Friday to Monday things were closed like on a Sunday.

They call it DIA de la Raza.

Another dumbfuck has stirred up a shit storm. Some "photographer" is all over social media because he took advantage of and beat up a local "influencer" / "model" . As most of you know, every Paisa thinks she is an influencer and model. So, it's being circulated like a wild fire. Unfortunately, the chick said something like, "Gringos come down here and think they can do whatever they want with our bodies. " Poor girl but I see these types coming from a mile away. Due to the living status of most chicks, they almost can't say no to a million peso work day. They overlook all the red flags and unknowingly put themselves at risk. A year or so ago I warned my ex about this exact guy, telling her it's all bullshit. Anyway, the girl said it happened early to mid August, she filed a report after going to the hospital, and nothing has been done. A quick check on Instagram or Tik Tok will likely bring it up, but everything I've seen is in Spanish (for those who don't speak it).

Stay safe out there. The authorities will be forced to act / respond, and every time an idiot gringo does something dumb, the locals pardon 1000 uncles of their previous sins. Hopefully no one in this group has anything more to worry about then some gringo discrimination, but if you do, I hope you get what you deserve.

First, I haven't been to Gusto's since 2018 or so, but I am surprised that it's now $250-$300 starting and so many guys are paying that. I remember when it was $60-$80 not long ago! It's gotten to the point that I go out of my way to avoid foreigners, especially when they go out of their way to engage with me. In the past I was mostly neutral vis a vis foreigners. Lately whenever I've been around foreigners I notice they attract dodgy locals looking to take advantage of them. To see for yourself, have a look at the locals who approach tourists on la 10.

There were a lot of girls there, but many were large to extra-large and had a lot of tattoos, silicone titties and piercings. Nothing clean and pure like years ago. So I selected one slim girl with no silicone and thought it would be heaven. In the room she started upselling.

Poblado has the bars, nightclubs, restaurants and streetwalkers. Everything you need for mongering is in Poblado. It is a good place for new visitors to stay. The downside is that it is a busy noisy place and there are a lot of tourists there. Still for easy access to women, it is a good place to stay. The Park Lleras girls will ask for a lot but you can always negotiate down. People always ask what is the going rate, and I would say that it depends on the girl. Each girl is different and each girl has her own going rate and it depends on the circumstances of that day for her. Just offer what you want to pay and maybe she will accept it.

Laureles has a busy street that has bars, nightclubs and restaurants but it is primarily geared to locals. There are almost no streetwalkers as far as I can tell. There are a few casas within a short Uber ride but they are more expensive than the ones in El Centro.

I have stayed in both places and both are fine. I prefer Laureles because it is more quiet. I prefer girls on Facebook so it doesn't matter where I stay for access to chicas. There are plenty of nice places to eat in Laureles. But if you prefer easy access to girls, it is better for you to stay in Poblado. You can take a Uber over but it takes about 20.

Another option is staying in El Centro. It is more dangerous at night but it does give you easy access to cheap streetwalkers, casas and strip club girls. If that is what you prefer, I think it makes sense for you to stay at the Nutribara Hotel in El Centro and just be careful at night.
