The others Arena, Shooters a mixed bag.

If you are in your twenties, you better hit the clubs where students frequent.

I leave it to old Kiev hands for further advise.

But if you are thinking along the singles bars in New York, then I don't think there are such clubs in Kiev, but I could be wrong.

Caribian club is good for you, if you want to shake it on the dance floor and loose some weight with the chance of walking out with a freebie at the end

Oniels the Irish pub in the centre is a good starting point for you, and the girls there are friendly.

I went to Kiev this weekend for a business trip. I'm a conservative newbie so consider that if you read my report.

It was a short, professional, work trip so bringing a pro back to the Hyatt hotel would not work for me (or my boss). I didn't check to see if the hotel would charge extra for a guest. The girls coming into the lobby did check in at the front desk, however. There were some stunners! I envied those lucky guys. Knowing my situation, I needed Out-Call. Not finding anything about that on the forum I decided my best bet was a exotic massage. It looked cheap, clean and private. Perfect.

Like you, I trust the experience of the people on this website not bullsh*t advertising. The place met all of my parameters so I decided to give it a try. Worst case I'd be out 450 UAH (57 dollars). The directions on the site are bad. The main street is "khreshchatyk". It's the steet where independence square is located. Many shops, restaurants etc (very nice). The rub is that the street signs will not say "Khreshchatyk", it will say, "Xpewatne" in Russian I guess. So you have to travel via landmarks. Rakuena Spa is one street past "Kiev passage" (McDonalds) walking away from independance square on the left hand side of the street. Again NO sign will spell out Lyuterans'ka! So it's one street past McDonalds (through the archway). All of the side streets are accessable from Khreshchatyk (you won't be able to tell from google maps). Go past first building on the right (just before the cafe) an go through black iron gate to first building on the left (6b) but the b doesn't look like a regular b! Second floor, apartment 40.

Whew. I made it (finally). Sunday around 2:30 in the afternoon. I was met by a beauty. I was hoping she was giving the massage but she was just the receptionist. She led me into a small room and asked me what I wanted ("one hour body massage for 450") was my reply. She spoke pretty good english. Waited about 4 minutes for a view of 4 girls. Three were 7's and one was a 9. Easy choice on my part. She was about 20, 5 foot 7 and 115 pounds with beautiful brown hair and olive skin with see cup breasts. Introduced herself as Victoria (not on the website).

I was instructed to change into just a towel and take a shower (solo) and return to room. I returned to find the single mattress that was covered with faux fur was now covered with blue sterile sheet. My beauty came back in totally naked (wow) and told me to lay down for a classic massage followed by the erotic massage. Just like the website said (sweet)! Average classic massage for about 40 minutes face down. She then covered herself with oil and proceeded with the exotic massage. Face down for about 5 minutes before I finally flipped over. OK, much better now. She didn't complain about my wandering hands but I didn't touch her Hooch. I didn't ask for any extras (what she was doing was just fine for me). Again, I'm a conservative newbie. Finished up with nice view of her on top with a classic happy ending. A little time remained for caressing and chit-chat. She led me to the shower again (solo) I dressed, tipped her 150 UAH (19 dollars) and left. She seemed happy with the tip. Unless I read of something that meets my needs better in Kiev, I will be back. I'd like out-call full service but it seems too complicated. Total damage was 75 dollars. Not bad.

I had the occasioon to visit Donesk which is the industrial city, and had some sort of activity in my hotel through the security personnel. Cost 150 USD for couple of hours with a nice blonde.

Donetsk has action but needs some exploring.

After my exotic massage and nap (see previous thread) I thought I'd give Shooters a try.

On Sunday 29 Aug, Indepencance Square had a DJ outside spinning mixes. It could be heard for miles! The beer vendors serve their local beer for 6 UAH. Yes, less than 1 dollar for a pint of beer. There were at least 300 people dancing around the square (they close off Khreshchatyk Street to cars on the weekends). I didn't notice any hookers just lots of young hot women dancing and having fun. I'm sure there were pros there but none approached me. I had a couple of beers and walked down K street to the "Arena" (about 3 blocks away from the square). The dance bar is closed until mid Sept so I hailed a cab to Shooters at about 10pm.

Shooters had good reviews in the forum minus the guys who couldn't get in. I was pretty sure that I'd get in (well dressed, in shape, 40ish tourist white guy). The Kiev cab deal. They want 50 UAH everywhere! Out of respect I negotiated 35 UAH from the Arena to Shooters. Shooters has one main entrance with the lunch restaurant off to the left. I call it the lunch restaurant because the more formal restaurant is upstairs (one flight of stairs up). Both restaurants have the same menu. Upstairs has live music (sort of). Singer with a flute backup. Good singer but kind of funny trio. At 10pm there was no cover so I just went upstairs. I guess I passed the white (I mean face check. Whew!) The first platform was where the disco was located. I looked behind the red curtains only to get yelled at in Russian by the bouncer. The forum didn't mention that Sundays is ladies night until midnight. The coat check and formal restaurant is upstairs. I sat at the bar upstairs and had a beer (24 UAH) 3 dollars (sweet!). Met some good guys from England with the same agenda (to get laid) so we talked about the local talent and my massage experience. We grabbed a table and had some food. I've heard the food is good but the menu looked just a tad pricey. 220 UAH for a simple chicken dish and no Chicken Kiev! I had the Veal rolls with feta cheese and potatoes for 180 UAH. 22. 50 dollars for Veal is a good price but 28 for chicken is on the high side in the US (I'm just saying.). Kiev has prices all over the board so I'm going to mention it. The food was very good.

There were lots of hot young girls coming up the stairs for coat-check at 11-12 and going back to the disco where they had male strippers dancing on stage (I think. I was yelled at, remember!) I had high expectations for the disco. At 12:15 the crowd thinned out upstairs so we decided to head downstairs. FYI the restaurant upstairs did have some hotties. They were all grouped together at their own tables so we didn't try to approach anyone. Everyone was at tables. Only 5 chairs at the bar. None of the girls looked hookerish (IMHO). They just looked like hot young girls going out to a disco. Anyway, downstairs we go!

70 UAH cover please. Even though we had drinks and diner upstairs they still wouldn't waive the 70 UAH cover. Damage 9 dollars but you get a free Vodka (big pour) and they hand you a can of redbull as you enter. You'd pay 14 dollars for that kind of drink in the States so Shooters is still up there as a pretty good deal in my book. The disco was busy but not overly crowded at 12:15. Lots of hot young women. The Russian type women all seem a little hard to me. I grew up in the South (Georgia) where women smile and look you in the eye. You have to pin down a girl in Kiev for her to look you in the eye. I was with 3 other guys and we met other english speaking guys downstairs and all had the same impression. You have to assert yourself (go up and ask if you can buy her a drink even though she isn't looking at you). This was weird for me because I'm used to the eye flirt first. Once you bought the drink she seemed to be happy to speak with you. Again, this was the general consensus from the group. One guy had an arranged girl (pro) at his rented appartment so he left at 1am (lucky bastard). One guy was negotiating with a young beauty and had her down to 250 dollars when I left at 1:30am. She was probably 19 and amazing. Again, we are all in our late 30's, early 40's but in shape and do pretty well with non-pros in their late 20's early 30's. Bringing a pro back to the Hyatt wasn't an option for me because of I was there with a conservative work group. Earlier that day I had a great massage for 56 dollars and a 19 dollar tip. The same type of girls now want 300 dollars! Anyway, the prices on the forum seem to be accurate. The amazing hot beautiful young girls start negotiating at 300 dollars. Expensive, but lots hotter than most girls around the world. Did I mention that bring back a hottie wasn't an option for me. Maybe I should have just booked a separate apartment for the night. I stayed and flirted until about 1:30. I had to work at 10am the next Monday morning so I left sober and alone. The cab would take nothing less than 50 UAH (6. 50) back to the Hyatt. Got to try!

Overall Shooters is a good affordable place. I will try D'Lux next time I'm in town. Much more expensive but I've heard it's packed with lots of professional talent. Always fun to watch anyway. I will still be in the same frustrating situation where I can't bring a girl back to the hotel so if anyone has a good suggestion I'd love to hear it.

It would fit in with your age group, but probably need a Russian speaking pal as a wingman.

Its not on the tourist trail heading to Kiev, so it doesn't get much of a mention here.

50 UAH tip for 450UAH service is more than 10% ,which is the norm for tips in western Europe . Max is 15%.tip .

Tips in the US start at 15% for good service. 20% is propaganda. Never heard of a 30% tip.

I've read the forum and this is the good advice that we (the newbies) need to hear! I wouldn't tip a penny if I knew that was the norm. I'm all about the best deal going (massage, apartments, ffk whatever) at the best price. That is the best thing about this forum. It gives us guys a little advantage (financial or otherwise).
