My strategy in Phnom Penh is threefold. 1. I like to spend some time in the hostess bars early in the evening say from 8:30 to 11 pm flirting and drinking with some of the girls. If I meet Ms Right my search is over and I take her back to my hotel. 2. If by 11 pm nothing substantive has happened in the hostess bars then I head over to Darling Darling at Naga World. The good thing about Darling Darling is its a sure thing. Every girl there wants to get picked up. There are no buy me drink girls. There is no barfine. You don't even need to buy these girls a drink. They are sipping on one already. 3. But once in a rare while I feel like making it a late night, so I will postpone my gratification on purpose and go to Pontoon after midnight. Like I said above, by 1 am to 1:30 in the morning Pontoon is in full gear and it really does not begin to slow down until after 3am.

AC is different because the default takeout is LT. This is slowly changing now, but in the good old days take out was always LT. They even had a different word for a barfine. It was called EWR (early work release) and it was all incliusive (barfine + sexual service). A punter pays the bar, not the girl and then he has her for the rest of the night and morning. Even now many AC girls don't want to leave until late morning (11am to noon). I have not been back to AC since 2015 when I met my two favorite Makati girls, but I have a lot of fond memories of AC. I fell in love there many times, 555.

It's more that after the deed, I have this urge to be alone, to have the girl gone. And I don't' want to have dinner with her, hang out with her, nothing. The typical situation is, I spot her in a bar and immediately feel the urge to be in bed with her. So I keep moving toward that. When that's been done, well, I don't want that any more, at least not right away, and actually I do get this feeling of wanting to be on my own, just totally relax channel surfing, snacking, etc. Alone.

I used to like overnight, look forward to 2nd go in the morning, but over time it got to feel not worth it. Don't sleep soundly when I'm with a hooker.

Now if you believe girls are fungible or looks don't matter, then I can understand your objection to giving any Phnom Penh girl $100 when $25 to $30 will do crosstown. But, the subject was; what do Darling Darling FL's cost, not anything else and as for Darling Darling; every night I have been there, that place was packed with paying customers (90% of customers are NE Asians and I guess some local hot shots) and girls. It is usually standing room only and definitely another world compared to the hostess bars and brothels you are probably referring to.

Everything is relative. When I was a young man and travelling around the CR, Colombia and Brazil, I never paid for sex. Never! I used to think that guys that paid for sex were suckers. What did I know? The girls all gave it to me free, but I did have to wait for closing time at their bars and meet them down the block, so nobody they knew from the bar would see us together. Not much has changed since then except I have gotten older, I do not usually like to wait until 3am to get my rocks off, and it is now much easier, thank Buddha, to just pay for what I want, where and when I want it.

Oh yeah, one more thing; I was around Phnom in the good old days and I intimately know what the girls used to be like then and what they cost back in '02 all the way up to '09 before the bar raids changed everything. I used to think Phnom was way better than BKK. I do not think so anymore, but I still like the place. My point is it is not 2002. Nothing will ever bring back "up to you" prices and "up to you" time. Phnom today is what it is. Get used to it.

I've been reading all your recent posts about your travels. If I understand you correctly the two best places in terms of overall quality and lower price are are still PI and Indonesia, right? It appears Thailand and Cambodia have gotten as expensive as Vietnam (which I no longer go to because they all want minimum $100/ night now). Even Burma has gotten more expensive. In contrast I can still go to Dominican Republic for some real fine snatch and giant boobs for about $50/ night. By the way clear out your inbox.

I still like Thailand and BKK in particular because I like the girls and the country has everything I need; lots of girls, venues, great food, culture when I want it, well priced hotels and lodging in every category, AND it's relatively safe.

Jakarta has been my great new discovery over the last 4 years. Jakarta girls really blow me away; they are so sexy and attractive, amply breasted (ha ha), and they have really great personalities. Who knew? I wished I had known 10 years ago when prices were much more reasonable. Today Jakarta can be very expensive. The 4 and 5 star hotels are 25% more expensive than comparable BKK hotels and the local girls in the top brothels cost anywhere from 900,00 rp ($67) to 2,000,000 rp ($150,000) in the same brothel depending on their category. So not cheap for top quality. But they are very sexy and overall very passionate in bed. Of course you can always go low budget. There are still a ton of girls available in the $20 to $25 price range. Its like looking for a diamond in a haystack, but the diamonds are out there. But overall despite the wonderful girls, Jakarta is not a very welcoming city for farangs. It seems kind of cold and distant. There is not that much to do there when not mongering and I think I would feel the isolation if I were to live there for a prolonged time.

Prices have risen a lot in the PI as well. Look at what's going on in AC since 2010. But I do love Filipinas. They can party and shag with the best of them, but they can also be devoted, loyal girlfriends. I know you are thinking of retiring there. It sounds good if you find the right spot in a beautiful location and can settle down with one or two special girls. I think I would go crazy living in AC or Manila. LOL.

I have often thought Phnom Penh or other parts of Cambodia would be a good place to live. Once off the tourist merry go round prices are pretty good. As for Khmer girls; I think they are delightful and a lot of fun. I have a friend who lives in Phnom. I like to see him and catch up whenever I am in his neck of the woods. He speaks fluent Khmer. He now has a local GF, but in his monger days he paid next to nothing for his girls and some of them were gorgeous and worked in bars charging tourists the going rate. They would Line him or before the internet call him and ask if they could come over and make him breakfast or something. What a life!

But again, I come back to Thailand. For all its faults, it just seems to me to have it all especially for long term expat residents. I don't know. I am just thinking out loud. First I would want to live in BKK for a year or two and learn Thai. But one day perhaps 10 years from now I could see myself living on a southern Thai Island with a Filipina or Indonesian GF. Taking short getaways to all the great watering holes whenever I get bored. Life is full of possibilities.

Neither am I under 30 but over 50. The difference. I exercise and workout and am in very good shape and look younger and good looking. I wear good quality designer clothes and shower enough. I smell good. Next, I am pleasant and respectful to everyone, not just the WGs. I have been to Cambodia from top (Siem Reap) to bottom (Snookey) many times. I do not have to go to places like newbees like you and pay a lot more for pussy that is available cheaper everywhere else. I think you failed in every respect and have to pay high prices. I've been coming to Thailand since the mid-80's and living there most of the time for the past 5 years. I love the Philippines but I prefer a cleaner environment and a country where I can pick from 5-10 great restaurants within a mile. And in the Philippines, I may travel most of the day before finding even one local restaurant I would eat in. I'm no culinary historian and will never understand how two countries with similar climates and geography can have such different food offerings.

But the Pinay, in spite of her horrible diet, continues to be one of the best women in the world. So, your thoughts about living in Thailand with a Pinay (or Indo) GF makes sense to me. All the best in achieving it. And the sooner the better.
