There are many many examples of guys meeting dates through Tinder and ending up dead. And many many who ended up getting drugged but surviving, minus their stuff.

After a first trip to Medellin in May, I made a quick return visit this past week staying only three nights since I had spent the weekend doing the Panama City scene with an old college buddy. Copa Airlines has a deal right now where a stopover in Panama was free of charge. This time my Medellin stay would be from Monday to Thursday and I opted to stay at the Hotel Medellin Plaza or more commonly known as the Hotel M mansion again. I know it's overpriced but it turned out to be so user friendly last time with English speaking reception staff, meeting other fellow mongers and the monger bar just downstairs to pull from along with good security.

The immigration lines in the afternoon were terrible as it took my 1. 5 hours to get through. Then at the counter, once again I was directed to the 'Canadian' booth where I had to pay a $94 Cad entry fee due to some trade spat Colombia and Canada has. Anyway after getting through I made my way to the cheap airport buses which all the locals take for 15,500 COP which is what I took in May. This is by far the cheapest way into the city. I got off at their stop near San Diego Mall and ordered an Uber to the hotel. No need for costly taxis from the airport. Once checked in I went out across the main street to Ovienda Mall which has a nice food court in the lower level with lots of choices at decent prices. Then went over to the 24 hour pharmacy across from Ovienda Mall to pick up some stuff for my room.

After relaxing I made my way down to the hotel bar at about 10 pm. In May I had a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night stint there and it was great with enough chicas to choose from. This time on Monday night, I was the only customer there with about five girls inside with only 1-2 I would consider. One of them hit me up for drinks and this is where I made a mistake by agreeing to buy a girl one before committing. As we enjoyed our drinks, I asked if 250,000 COP was acceptable which is what I paid in May assuming that after quotes of 300,000 COP, most girls would agree to go for 250,000. Well to my surprise, this girl refused to go under 300,000 and soon the other girls came as they all started babbling in Spanish. I'm sure that the chica I was talking to was telling the others about our price disagreement and they somehow tried to tell me that none of them would go out for less than 300,000.

I told them that I previously paid 250,000 all the time and mentioned names of two chicas I saw in May. They told me that one of those girls was fired for charging too low which prevented the rest of them from getting any work. I think this was bullcrap since girls working here are all independent. I could have settled for the 300,000 since after conversion, it's only a difference of $20 Cad but I felt that the 'union' of girls there that night caused a less than positive vibe with me so I left opting to go to sleep instead after a long day of travel.

The next morning I decided to Uber it out to the New Life casa to get some action after getting nothing the night before. I've been to New Life once before and had a great time there. This time I once again went through the blue door and got buzzed up where a lady host was waiting. After directed to a waiting room, a line up of about 15 girls came by one at a time introducing themselves. Overall the quality was crap in my opinion as most of them were fatties although I'm sure some customers who like beefier woman might like them. Luckily for me, there were two slim ones who were acceptable to me and the last one in the line up was just my type. These girls were rotating through another waiting room at the same time so I was hoping that my chosen one would not be picked by the other dude there. When the hostess came around, she confirmed that my chosen girl was available to me so I took 30 minutes for 70,000 COP with her.

The lady took me downstairs to a room and after showering, I got a great semi GFE session with her which means kissing was there but CBJ. She also agreed to getting a few photos with me taken with clothes on after our action without asking for any extra so I decided to give her a 2,000 propina anyway. This session at New Life in my mind certainly made up for last night at the hotel bar.

I didn't realize there was a rainy season in Medellin as the rain started coming down for the evening. I was going to go down to the hotel bar again but decided to just relax in my room for the night since I already had my fun at New Life and thought it would be pretty crappy if it turned out that I ran out of leche for a night session at a much higher price.

The next day I took a day trip to Guatape which is the most colourful little town I've ever been to and also climbed up Piedra El Peno to get some awesome views of the area. To get there, I just took Uber to the North Terminal for buses where at counter #14, the 20,000 COP local bus takes you to Guatape in two hours. This is a day trip I totally recommend as part of the touristy things to do while in Medellin.

For my final night which was Wedesday, I decided to go down to the hotel bar again. Since it started to rain again, I was not going to go out to Parque Lleras or anywhere else. Got down to the bar again at about 10 pm and this time bumped into some cool dudes also staying at the hotel which was great. This is one of the benefits of staying at hotel M because one can meet fellow mongers and share intel plus experiences from not only Medellin but worldwide. One of the guys there I met back in May was also there this night and he just came back from Thailand which is where I'm headed to this November. His insights from his recent trip were quite useful for my upcoming trip.

The bar had only about five or six girls again but they were different from the ones on Monday fortunately. I did pick one out and when she asked me for a drink, I learned my lesson from last time as I wanted to make sure that this was a chica I would likely take before wasting my time and money on drinks. I asked her about rates and she quoted 350,000. I countered at 300,000 thinking that 250,000 would be too far a stretch and she promptly agreed at 300,000 so I bought her a drink. After drinks, I took her back to my room but of course as expected, she registered her ID with the hotel security guy first. It was a decent session but funny how these girls waste no time in dressing up and leaving after I pop. So forget about any stated time of an hour with these girls as it's more like the sessions are done as soon as you pop.

So for my short stay, I had only two girls. Both were good sessions but in all honesty, I felt that the New Life girl was a bit better for me irregardless of the huge price differences between the daytime casa compared to the hotel bar. The guy who was at the bar claimed that the 300,000 rate is pretty well the going rate these days but 250,000 could be had with some of the girls as far as night time goes.

All the guys there agreed that Hotel M is starting to be run down with crappy towels and much needed renovations. Some said they would stay there again because of the user friendliness while some were quite disappointed with the poor turnouts from Monday to Wednesday. I'm undecided at this point as I think it depends on what my future will be like for subsequent trips to Medellin. If I do just daytime casas like New Life and Energy, then I would not need Hotel M's bar. If I pull from Parque Lleras, I could still use Hotel M with its security but it certainly would not be as easy as just going downstairs anymore and in bad wet weather, Parque Lleras would be pretty crappy. I do still appreciate the opportunity to socialize with other fellow mongers at the hotel though as this means that I don't have to go through these trips totally solo all the time. This hotel bar is probably still good on Thursday to Saturday nights but it was not on my trip schedule this time around so perhaps better planning next time would be warranted.

Bath towels like rags, literally, yet they want $100 US each night. Bring your own towels or buy at them at the mall and do not get a room above the bar, it will be noisy until 1 am. But its a good alternative if you want camaraderie.

You should find big booties in all of them. Taxi to and from the clubs in centro at night. Don't be wandering the streets.

Its been a while since I have been back. Was wondering with all the tension and aggressive tactics from the mayor how Calle 10 was. Is it dead, will you be harassed by the police for talking to Chicas?

The first Airbnb owner cautioned me about inviting girls. His previous client was robbed and almost died from the drugs. But the tenant specifically brought the girl over to have a drug orgy in the apartment. Now if you sign up for a stupid thing like that, what would you expect? I speak reasonable Spanish, always video chat with the girls (Tinder, Facebook) making sure they are not allowed to use drugs in my apartment. Bring their Cedula, registered them at the front desk and always do a short time session. I only do TLN with girls I know from previous trips. I have been to Medellin many times and never had a problem. Speaking Spanish will go a long way!

Because I want to provide some hint in replying your post so I did one simple search. The image is the first in the result. It actually has less to do with drug. Thinking ID check or severance video will keep you safe is mistake. It's good to have them but they won't keep you safe 100% and many don't care.

If you don't know Spanish (outside of a few words), should you just stick to casas? Sounds like casas are easy and cheap but also don't have the hottest girls, and the fact that you have to tip for BBBJ means that BBBFS might be hard or impossible.

Seems like bare can only be achieved with a bit of negotiation, and are more common with Tinder / Facebook / Seeking girls while nightclub / street walkers are hit or miss there. But to even play that game, you need some Spanish.

Planning to travel with my friends to Medellin soon. Could if friend have been to Medellin but this is my first time. Travelling from different cities so arriving times will be different. The best flight for me arrives late night and my friends arrive in the morning. Is it safe to hangout in the airport for more than 7 - 8 hours. My buddy who visited couple of times says it's not recommended to take Uber to the Airbnb late at night. Or should I take a hotel near airport and stay the night. And maybe get some action in before my friends arrive.
