Medellin Reports

Thanks for report. I noticed that Thursday and Friday nights are busiest for the bar next door to Hotel M in terms of quantity and quality of the girls. I don't stay at that hotel anymore but I visit the bar time to time because I think the girls you find there are cool generally and the risk is minimized when picking up girls from there.

I got off at their stop near San Diego Mall and ordered an Uber to the hotel. No need for costly taxis from the airport. Once checked in I went out across the main street to Ovienda Mall which has a nice food court in the lower level with lots of choices at decent prices. Then went over to the 24 hour pharmacy across from Ovienda Mall to pick up some stuff for my room.

After relaxing I made my way down to the hotel bar at about 10 pm. In May I had a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night stint there and it was great with enough chicas to choose from. This time on Monday night, I was the only customer there with about five girls inside with only 1-2 I would consider. One of them hit me up for drinks and this is where I made a mistake by agreeing to buy a girl one before committing. As we enjoyed our drinks, I asked if 250,000 COP was acceptable which is what I paid in May assuming that after quotes of 300,000 COP, most girls would agree to go for 250,000. Well to my surprise, this girl refused to go under 300,000 and soon the other girls came as they all started babbling in Spanish. I'm sure that the chica I was talking to was telling the others about our price disagreement and they somehow tried to tell me that none of them would go out for less than 300,000.

I told them that I previously paid 250,000 all the time and mentioned names of two chicas I saw in May. They told me that one of those girls was fired for charging too low which prevented the rest of them from getting any work. I think this was bullcrap since girls working here are all independent. I could have settled for the 300,000 since after conversion, it's only a difference of $20 Cad but I felt that the 'union' of girls there that night caused a less than positive vibe with me so I left opting to go to sleep instead after a long day of travel.

The next morning I decided to Uber it out to the New Life casa to get some action after getting nothing the night before. I've been to New Life once before and had a great time there. This time I once again went through the blue door and got buzzed up where a lady host was waiting. After directed to a waiting room, a line up of about 15 girls came by one at a time introducing themselves. Overall the quality was crap in my opinion as most of them were fatties although I'm sure some customers who like beefier woman might like them. Luckily for me, there were two slim ones who were acceptable to me and the last one in the line up was just my type. These girls were rotating through another waiting room at the same time so I was hoping that my chosen one would not be picked by the other dude there. When the hostess came around, she confirmed that my chosen girl was available to me so I took 30 minutes for 70,000 COP with her.

The lady took me downstairs to a room and after showering, I got a great semi GFE session with her which means kissing was there but CBJ. She also agreed to getting a few photos with me taken with clothes on after our action without asking for any extra so I decided to give her a 2,000 propina anyway. This session at New Life in my mind certainly made up for last night at the hotel bar.

I didn't realize there was a rainy season in Medellin as the rain started coming down for the evening. I was going to go down to the hotel bar again but decided to just relax in my room for the night since I already had my fun at New Life and thought it would be pretty crappy if it turned out that I ran out of leche for a night session at a much higher price.

The next day I took a day trip to Guatape which is the most colourful little town I've ever been to and also climbed up Piedra El Peno to get some awesome views of the area. To get there, I just took Uber to the North Terminal for buses where at counter #14, the 20,000 COP local bus takes you to Guatape in two hours. This is a day trip I totally recommend as part of the touristy things to do while in Medellin.

For my final night which was Wedesday, I decided to go down to the hotel bar again. Since it started to rain again, I was not going to go out to Parque Lleras or anywhere else. Got down to the bar again at about 10 pm and this time bumped into some cool dudes also staying at the hotel which was great. This is one of the benefits of staying at hotel M because one can meet fellow mongers and share intel plus experiences from not only Medellin but worldwide. One of the guys there I met back in May was also there this night and he just came back from Thailand which is where I'm headed to this November. His insights from his recent trip were quite useful for my upcoming trip.

The bar had only about five or six girls again but they were different from the ones on Monday fortunately. I did pick one out and when she asked me for a drink, I learned my lesson from last time as I wanted to make sure that this was a chica I would likely take before wasting my time and money on drinks. I asked her about rates and she quoted 350,000. I countered at 300,000 thinking that 250,000 would be too far a stretch and she promptly agreed at 300,000 so I bought her a drink. After drinks, I took her back to my room but of course as expected, she registered her ID with the hotel security guy first. It was a decent session but funny how these girls waste no time in dressing up and leaving after I pop. So forget about any stated time of an hour with these girls as it's more like the sessions are done as soon as you pop.

So for my short stay, I had only two girls. Both were good sessions but in all honesty, I felt that the New Life girl was a bit better for me irregardless of the huge price differences between the daytime casa compared to the hotel bar. The guy who was at the bar claimed that the 300,000 rate is pretty well the going rate these days but 250,000 could be had with some of the girls as far as night time goes.

All the guys there agreed that Hotel M is starting to be run down with crappy towels and much needed renovations. Some said they would stay there again because of the user friendliness while some were quite disappointed with the poor turnouts from Monday to Wednesday. I'm undecided at this point as I think it depends on what my future will be like for subsequent trips to Medellin. If I do just daytime casas like New Life and Energy, then I would not need Hotel M's bar. If I pull from Parque Lleras, I could still use Hotel M with its security but it certainly would not be as easy as just going downstairs anymore and in bad wet weather, Parque Lleras would be pretty crappy. I do still appreciate the opportunity to socialize with other fellow mongers at the hotel though as this means that I don't have to go through these trips totally solo all the time. This hotel bar is probably still good on Thursday to Saturday nights but it was not on my trip schedule this time around so perhaps better planning next time would be warranted.

The going rate is really $300-400 k COP or $75-$100 USD. If you focus on negotiating a girl down to the bottom-acceptable-rate, you should not be surprised that the girl will just want to offer the bottom-acceptable-service.

My advice is to not sweat that $25 different and just give them $400 k and you will find the girls are in no-rush, take their time, hang out, etc. You met their goal for the night, so they are in no hurry to try to find another opportunity. Personally, I never offer them anything specific. If a new girl who doesn't know me inquires I only answer "don't worry, I'll take care of you". Then I feel comfort in giving them between $350 k (if disappointed) to $500 k (for that rare really amazing one I plan to keep seeing). I pay what it is worth to me, the girls have spread the word I am a reliable one and if you make me happy, I pay more so no one ever asks me how much, they hang as long as I want them to, and never are rushed or concerned.

When I talk to these girls, they are always telling me about the cheap guys who negotiate them down to bare bones pricing and how they are disgusted by their cheapness. I can see if that is how they feel about it, how that directly leads to terrible / quick service. They feel the pressure to get going to see if they can find another opportunity to make up the loss revenue.

Also, regarding drinks. $3 USD for a drink is nothing. I'm always identifying 2-3 favorites and giving them drinks on me, they then introduce me new girls, hang with me, and even screen girls for me. A little generosity not only makes you feel like a king but gets you real VIP style treatment. Want to really make them happy? Offer spend $10 USD on some Rappi and get them some fried chicken.

I know they are happy because many of them contact me to ask when they can return. I'm confident my friends are better in all aspects than almost all the Mansion chicas. I've only stayed at the Mansion three days, a few years ago. The reports I'm seeing are that the quality of the chicas is going down, not getting better.

I don't care what anyone else pays. I just want to clarify that the rates you stated do not apply outside the Mansion and, probably, Parque Lleras.

Not because of the lack of safety, but because it is so uncomfortable. If you already have the Airbnb rented for that night, that's where I'd go. You can take the white airport taxi into Medellin. They have a drop-off point, but usually the driver will take you to where you are staying for 15-20 mil extra. Or you can take an Uber. Just check to see that the driver has more than a few reviews. Either method should be safe.

It will be difficult to find a chica near the airport.

But good job on not giving her a ridiculous tip for really doing nothing. I always give them what they agree upon up front. From my experience the ones that don't want to do-barely anything or the the bare minimal are ones that bust your chops for a propina at the end.

[B)] It will be difficult to find a chica near the airport.[/B] [/QUOTE]Actually I have heard that there is a small street scene in the town of Rio Negro near the airport. Some of the vennies I used to see would go work there on the weekends and then come back to Medellin during the week.

As far as staying in the airport overnight tho that would be incredibly boring, especially that airport it's so small and has only a cpl restaurants which are all inside the terminal last security. Unless if he wants to hang out at Juan valdez drinking coffee the whole time or eating empanada at that small street food type area in the outside part then I wouldn't advise that.

Dude should just hop. On the bus to san diego for 15,500 COP. I believe from the airport to Medellin the busses are 24 hours a day they only have hours when leaving from Medellin to the airport. He could easily get out COP currency at one of the atms inside the airport and then hop on the bus to San diego and then take a taxi or Uber / Indrive to his airbnb or hotel no matter what time it is.

Usually if he says no he will point out the correct bus that does go to San Diego which is usually the one in front parked up more.

It is the only bus line there and at the front of the bus is the cost at 15,500 at present. It stops only at two places mainly which is near San Diego Mall near the underpass of the road and Nutra Hotel in Centro.

On the one that goes to San Diego. The other one that goes to nuttibara hotel doesn't stop at San Diego and it takes a much longer route bypassing the tunnel and it takes a much longer time to get to Medellin.

You'll run into the wrong one eventually if your not being clear and upfront about pricing. I would not recommend anyone to take your approach of not negotiating an actual price. One day you will get an expectation for 2 or 3 milliones from the wrong girl. Think it can't happen. It can and does eventually. Overpay, underpay whatever floats your boat. Just be clear to avoid issues.
