i am no sure if you are being sarcastic - but everything about her story strikes me as total bollocks. she has all the characteristics of a seasoned pro. not necessarily a bad thing by the way but i find their invented backgrounds constantly amusing as they try to squeeze every drop of sympathy and cash they can out of us. a lot of girls have braces these days but many of them are cosmetic as it has become a fad of sorts - why i can't imagine - maybe some pop star has them? i think they look awful. one girl i know got red ones which made her look really creepy. after not getting a customer for a few days she got rid of them.

I noticed a sign in the gents of AngelWitch, Bangkok, that said the place was up for sale. I always thought AW was one of the more popular bars, so just wondering if this is a sign of the economic times?

LOL. When I popped back up in BKK two times ago my backup TG came over. She opened her mouth and said look I changed to your favorite color, blue. That tickled me. I have never seen the colored braces outside of Thailand. 2 more days til Thailand!

Actually, it is most probably a sign of the fact it has been sold time and time again, with the buyer getting nothing, as is the case with most farangs buying bars and the like.

Star of Light


Having been to Star of Light many many times I want to share it with all of you. Most accounts of Star of Light are not very detailed. The seediness and rawness of Star of Light appeals to many. For many it does not. I intend to give you a blow by blow (pardon the pun) of this establishment that for me fits the bill completely.

Getting there

Many of you want to take a taxi to Star of Light. You can do that but it is really a waste and you miss out on walking along the pitted, potholed sidewalk in Patpong (right now they are tearing up the whole sidewalk and frankly it is real danger to walk it. I am not kidding). The best way is the MRT or as many of us would call it the underground subway. In Bangkok it is called the MRT ([url]http://www.bangkok-booking.com/bangkok-map.html[/url] ). The link is to several maps including the BTS (the above ground commuter train) and the MRT.

Simply take the MRT to Silom station. If you take the BTS you will have to change trains at Siam and get on the Silom line to the Silom stop. Its up to you but for most the MRT is the best way. When you exit the MRT I suggest you go outside and go upstairs and get on the above ground sidewalk that leads to the BTS station. That way you can avoid some of the terrible sidewalk and the heavy crowds. By walking this way you do not have to get on the BTS. Rather as you walk look to the right side and you can walk down to the sidewalk. Now for the first timers to be sure you are on the right side of the street you will see a bar/restaurant on the corner called O’Reillys. It has a huge Irish colored green awning. That is the side of the street you want to be on.

Walk up that sidewalk (going away from the BTS/MRT station) past a Dunkin Donuts and sport show stores and the never ending stalls selling overpriced trinkets. Now Patpong has two sois (streets) that we are interested in- Patpong 1 and Patpong 2. Now Patpong 2 is the soi where Star of Light is located at the end of the soi. But Patpong 2 is so small and narrow that you can literally walk past it. I did it many times. You usually know it is Patpong 2 because there is always a tout there trying to sell you a massage( and believe me you will encounter at least 10 people trying to do it before you get to Star of Light-don’t bite and stay focused). So lets say you walked past Patpong 2 and did not realize it. You will eventually come upon Patpong 1 which is about 1 or 2 minute walk from Patpong 2. Patpong 1 is a much much wider soi than Patpong 2. It has a huge awning above the street that is usually advertising beer or something. You will also notice just a few feet down Patpong 1on the left side a 7-11 store. That lets you know you are on Patpong 1. If you walk past Patpong 1 you will see a hospital on your right and that means you have gone too far.

Just for entertainment sake take the stroll down Patpong 1. In the daytime (9am until about 6pm) there are no vendors in the middle of the street hawking wares as they do at night. Patpong is completely different during the day. It is amazing. Nevertheless as you walk down this wide soi for some reason there are really no cars going down this soi. Perhaps its because they are not permitted. Nevertheless is good to scout this area during the day in case you decide to taste the other entertainment there later that night such as Kings and Queens clubs. I don’t like these places so I cannot report on them. Nevertheless as you walk down this soi you will be approached 4 or 5 times by ladies trying to sell you massage services. Be nice and say no. On the left side of the soi you will notice two other bj bars-Kangaroo and Rose. I have gone into both and never partake mainly because the women were so old and it was too dark. In addition they want 800 baht for a bj when just a short walk away you can get the same service at Star of Light for 700. Rose has a big sign but Kangaroo has a small sign. Just take your time and walk down the left side of the soi and and you will see them. They both open around 2pm while Star of Light opens at 9:30 am.

As you approach the end of the soi you will see a Watsons drug store. Nice place to pick up some condoms. And for us Western guys if you need larger condoms purchase the Durex with the purple box with a pink swirl on it. They are the larger ones. Now once you get to this end of Patpong walk to your right down the sidewalk. That is if you are standing in front of Watsons just walk across Patpong 1 (not the street in front of you) until you come to the next soi. You should only walk only less than a minute to get to the next soi. This is Patpong 2. The gateway to Star of Light.

Walk up Patpong 2. You will see one or two open air bars on the left side. As you walk up start looking to the left. Eventually you will see another open air bar (I think it might be the 2nd or 3rd open air bar you pass) and right beside it you will see ladies sitting outside at a table (they are usually eating). The small brown door beside them is Star of Light and the ladies are the ladies offering services.

Wow. Now we have figured out how to get there. Go there in the morning so you can take your time and walk around in case you get turned around. But it is not hard. If you walk too far up Patpong 2 you will know it because you will pass a Foodland supermarket on your left. If you have passed it turn around and walk about 1 minutes until you see the 2nd open air bar and right beside it you will see the ladies sitting outside. They will always be wearing cute outfits that are all the same style.

Star of Light itself

Now for some it is intimidating walking up to 10 or 15 women sitting at a table who are offering their services. I will tell you how I did it the first time. I simply pretended to be on my cell phone as I approached. They all will wave hi and it gives you a chance to stand beside them and pretend to be on a phone call while scanning them to see who you will share your weeks load with. I know this seems like a weak approach but believe me it is intimidating the first time. I kid you not. Nevertheless after standing there a minute or so just walk inside. Now this place is small. And I mean small. The counter inside is holds maybe 4 high back bar stools. Directly behind them (about 6 feet behind the stools) are two black vinyl covered benches. The bar is poorly stocked because frankly no one comes there to drink. Most guys get a cola.

Now as soon as you come in a lady will come in behind you. There maybe two or three ladies already inside. Just tell them you want a cola and to sit at the bar a minute or two. Chat with the girls. Crack a joke. They are very friendly. As you talk to the ladies they will eventually offer their oral services for 700 baht. $20 USA. That means a BBBJ, with CIM. 90% of them will offer a facial for a tip (I will give them 200 baht). 99% of them offer full service for 1000 baht in the “room”. More on the “room” later.

Now you have several options. You can get your BJ right there on the stool. Or you can have it on the low black vinyl benches. If placed together the two benches could hold four guys at the same time. They are that small. Now I always go during the day. The girls are not tired, more apt to talk and because I went there so much they offered two girl bj’s for 1000 baht during the day when business was slow. They do not offer this to everyone. Only customers that come back. It is at the girls discretion. I only do this now. Two girl bj for 1000 baht. 30USD. You cannot beat that. I have never seen more than 1 or 2 guys in there at the same time. I have only seen one guy get a bj on the vinyl bench in the open for everyone to see. I think most guys will want to use the “room” but to each his own. Nevertheless the girls take their shirt/bra off and get to work. The girls have told me you can be there 30-40 minutes for the bj if you want. Most guys do not last that long .It is interesting to see one lady be “trained” by another to do a bj. That actually goes on. On lady is servicing you and another comes over and gets pointers on how to do a bj by the lady doing the servicing. Amazing. Anyhow most of the girls do lots of slurping and dirty talking. The ladies that are there have been there a while according to them. Several of the girls are actually from the same family. The girls after taking your load always spit and rinse with Listerine. Health concerns seem to be a big concern there but on the same token nearly every girl there has offered me bareback which I would never ever do. They are all required to have health checks every month and their certificates are kept at the bar. Most of them have the telltale needle mark on their arm where they are checked for HIV (and no it is not drug abuse needle marks). Whether you get your services in the “room” or in the bar area you pay the 700 baht when you are finished. Always place the tip in the girls hand. If you do not the bar will keep her tip. All of girls have told me this.

Now if you are the shy type you can get your services in the “room”. Guys the room is the size of maybe three public toilet stalls. And it is the toilet. I am not joking. As you walked into the toilet through the brown slatted door to your left is a big trashcan full of water for the girls to wash up in. To your right is a small sink, a toilet and a very small black vinyl bench in the corner. I snapped a photo with my cell phone. It is a poor picture but where I am standing is right beside the sink and you can see the checkered floor. This “room” cannot be more than 9 or ten feet long and maybe 5 feet wide. Getting two girls in room is a challenge until they get on their knees. Even then if they are not careful they will hit their back against the sink as they are servicing you.

The very small black vinyl bench is very very small. It is visibly well worn. Personally I never sit my bare bottom on it. I always leave my underwear on. And while we are on that subject lets talk health for a minute. I always bring my own high quality soap in a very small container ( the size of a bottle cap) to wash my hands afterwards. This place is not filthy but it is gritty. No question about that. I always bring my own baby wipes though the girls bring a small cosmetic bag with them that has everything in it. So you do not have to bring anything if you do not want to.

Usually when I am finished I sit at the bar again and have a cola. Sometimes after 20 minutes of seeing guys come and go or hearing some guy getting FS in the “room” I go for a second round. But I do not want to give the impression that Star of Light is a FS joint..it is a bj joint. I have actually gotten anal from two girls in there in the “room”. But I am a regular. Nevertheless Star of Light is a must do while you are in Bangkok. 1500LT? Seriously? I thought that was for ST...what is the ST rate? If that is a LT price then very well worth it...i always thought of Sutthisan as a ST kind of spot...and that the gals only went to nearby hotels..please enlighten

The most visitor in Spice Club are guys with their barfined or somehow payed girls. So, not the best FL place, imho. A good FL should be a place where freelancer meed customer and not a place where customer show up with their purchased, or rented girls to impress others, or just have some fun.
I didn't saw some free freelancer whose were pretty and so I left after I drunk out my SM light.
Next destination were Bossy on Pratunam (entrance fee 300 Baht). I never were there before and I was surprised that the place were already full at 2:00. The club has a higher dance floor in the middle and around tables and stools. That is in general not a good solution to get people mix to each other, but well that's like it is in Thailand.
I was lucky got a free table and could enjoy the show (Not a real show, just I enjoy to see like other people behave). Others whose came later had a hard time, by staying at the walkway constandly molested by people and staff whose walk up and down.
In Bossy the most customers are middle eastern gentlemen. I worked in Saudi Arabia and I have no problems with Arabs. They are quite nice people in general. Indians are a little more difficult, since they are often arogant and rude. Buuut, all of them are not used to alcohol and girls and so they behave like children in a candy store in places like Bossy. Two time there were almost a fight between the staff and drunk Arab or Indian customer.

The place were full at 3:00 and first I didn't saw some nice available girls. But, after a while I found a free table and flirt with some nice looking Thai girls. At 4:00 I got tired and found that it's time to go back to Hotel. Since I didn't want go alone I choose the one Thai girl I liked most. After short negociation, she agreed to go for a ST for 1500 Baht. She was really pretty but didn't do anal. Anyway she was really pretty and I was sure I will not find anything better, so I took her. Sex was OK, but nothing special.

Saw a similar babe in Angel Witch about 3 weeks ago, big fish tattoo etc, could be worth a look, however there may be many more fish in the sea.
