I find it a bit awkward to tip someone like that...
Well, it works for me, it's easy, not that awkward, and it does not cost me much money... actually, much less than what I would have spent if I've had to go to a short-time hotel every time! I'm in my early forties and unless I am sick (or busy on other matters), I usually have several ST sessions per day (at least 3) when I'm in Pattaya. I tip (reasonably) the hotel staff (especially the security guys) once on my arrival, and sometimes also when I'm checking out if I intend to come back at the same place or if they have been particularly helpful during my sojourn. I just explain to them that I want to have a courtesy phone call each time that my guests are leaving the hotel without me. And I also kindly remind this to the front desk when I bring my girls to the hotel.
But in any case its more pleasant to go to a short time room and avoid soiling your bedsheets and towels.
Yes, what you are saying is true (about the bedsheets and towels), but it's not very difficult to get a few extra towels, especially if you've (reasonably) tipped the cleaning ladies (for instance, once at the beginning of your sojourn). Where I usually stay when I'm in Pattaya, I get two or three extra towels everyday quite easily.
My hotel room is more pleasant than any short-time that I have visited so far, and is more convenient, for instance if I want to keep some video memories of my sessions.
But your modus operandi has its advantages too...
Does anyone know where I can buy a voltage converter/step-down transformer in Pattaya? I have a 110V electric shaver and of course the 220V here is way too much for it. I have looked at Big C and Carrefour to no avail.
You should find it at the Tukcom centre (corner of Pattaya Tai and Soi Bukhao), probably at the basement level.
It's not just the Russians and Uzbecks, but the many serviced apartments at the Jomtien end of 3rd Road were full of Middle Easterners.
Everything is changing in Pattaya
Seen lots of Ruskies and Uzbecks, and damn those women are friggin hot. Beautiful bodies, blond / blue and often stunning. Except for the sex workers, why are they in Pattaya? Far better and more exotic places on the Islands, as PiPi, panyang, etc. Pattaya beach is far from great, and this not a place IMO to take your GF too.
Also lots of Chinese, Arabs, and some Koreans / Japanese.
Just a few minutes ago stuck out my hand while going to my hotel room and grabbed this gal. We agreed to 500 for ST, and she was so good gave her a 100 tip. And she gave me her cell. She 20 and a bit of fat on her stomach, but lots of fun. Took her pic with my Sony Cell, and as I pointed the camera she swong the towel blocking the complete view.
Damn I hate Pattaya.

Just came from there and all they had were adapters, no converters. Found what was supposed to be a converter on the 3rd floor. Luckily I brought my shaver with me. Plugged it in to test it and there was no difference. Dammit.

I'm much more comfortable bringing the girls back to my room where I can relax, offer them a drink, have a fairly hygienic shower, and feel slightly more in control of the situation.

Converter

They are back in the corner in the electronics section. Take your transformer with you. Also, many transformers will set down the 220 or 110 to whatever the voltage the device needs. Look on the shavers chargers box and if it has 220-110 on it, chances are it will adjust the voltage it self.

Alcatraz A-go-go
i checked out the new alcatraz a-go-go on walking street for the first (and probably last) time tonight. it's a large room with a high ceiling done out in a dull grey cell block motif with empty cells surrounding the second storey level and a large chicken wire cage in the center above the stage where one girl is shuffling around. the atmosphere is hard, metallic, cold, and the bar lacks any semblance of intimacy.
there appeared to be a few decent looking girls here and there, but the place was so dark i couldn't get a good look at them. the stage is set up high off the floor so the girls seem far away, and there is absolutely no nudity; not even any semi nudity; no tits; no ass; no pussy; no g-strings; nothing. it's depressing.
i saved the worst part for last: no happy hour and drinks are priced at least 40 baht higher than most other go-go bars. at 10pm only me and 5 other bored looking customers were rep001tered around the room, though the high-season weekday crowds on walking street are huge.
unless the owner of this place does something drastic and fast to attract more customers, i predict a short shelf life for alcatraz.

Probably Already Blown

Nope, they all did except for one. I fried that one by accident. I ended up butchering a couple adopters from night vendors with a bit of eletrical tape to reassemble one. Cost me 150 bt in total. Just be sure you have to polarity right (+ going to center or outside).

It is precisely in my own room where I don't feel in control of the situation. I feel much more in control at the short time hotel where at the first sign of trouble I just slip some clothes back on and run out the door. By contrast in my own room I feel vulnerable. My things are there, and the girl can cause trouble for me.

We're in the same age range, and two is the most I can handle without developing the old 'can't finish' problem.
I find it a bit awkward to tip someone like that. Instead, I simply use a short-time hotel for all my encounters, unless I've seen the girl many times. If you're a regular customer and have had lots of good experiences with a girl, there's no danger bringing her to your room for a short time. But in any case its more pleasant to go to a short time room and avoid soiling your bedsheets and towels.
When I was staying in hotels I didn't care about bringing different girls back and fucking up as many sheets and towels as I wanted. I was never really concerned about a safety aspect either. Hell, I could change rooms or hotels at the drop of a hat. But now that I have my own place 1) I don't want all of those hookers knowing where I live and 2) I now have to buy and wash towels and sheets my damn self. Considering how cheap you can have clothes made here, I never knew sheets and towels were so damn expensive. So if I'm doing short time I would much rather prefer paying 100 baht for a ST hotel. I only bring non-pros or girls from the disco who I have regularly seen and are quite familiar with back to my place.

1st trip to Thailand.
After being here for week now I have to admit as recovering Brasil-aholic this place is "RIO ON STERIODS" and is the mongering mecca of the world in my opinion and Pattaya blows Rio away hands down. From now on I will be coming out here atleast 2-3 times per year now for sure. It was also great to finally meet the famous Mr.Enternational of ISG!
When I went there in December, I thought the place had a lot of potential; too bad, because there were just a few customers. The place has a great design with cell-blocks and such. Somebody put some serious money into this place.
Butter69, were there many customers in the place? Because when I was there, the place had had lots of ladies, but very few customers; which is a bad sign. I'm headed back in April and will reassess the place then; hopefully it is still in business because I really like the feel and design of the place.
Yes, been there again at a later time, and still a nice flow of customers each time. I actually don't mind how many customers are in the place. The less, the better, as it means I can always get the girl that I want sitting on my lap, LOL.

And in the moment they a lot of crime in Walking Street many tourist be scam by girls who go with you and not make sex and want money.
The flipside of that coin is men who take women and don't want to pay them afterward. A girl who works the desk at the hotel I used to stay at came over the other day. She was talking about how the hotel is usually full of Indians because they lower the price to bring people in. But now that it is Chinese New Year they raised the prices according to the laws of supply and demand, so there are less Indians.
She was telling me how it was really none of her business who you bring to your room and what you do with them. As long as there are no problems that directly affect the hotel. She said that many times the Indian guys will take girls up then after they won't want to pay the joiner fee and won't want to pay the girl. Then they bring the mess down to her, when what the hell can she do about it. She was not part of the business transaction in the first place. Her only concern is the equal comfort and safety of the hotel for the guests collectively. She is not a counselor or policewoman so therefore is not concerned with each person's personal issues. She only wants them to take the mess outside before any fighting begins so she will not have to do any extra work (paperwork & explaining).

Short time / Long time
How long is a ST short time LT long time. Si there any general time session for ST LT or it depends on the girl?
This is Thailand you are talking about! THERE ARE NO STANDARDS (FOR ANYTHING!)
What a WG may (seem to) agree to at the negotiation stage and what happens in reality may be completely different.
I have been with 500 Baht girls who have been happy to stay with me for several hours, or even over night. I have also had the occasional bad experience of a girl (after agreeing to a price for long time) wanting to leave after an hour or so.
However YMMV with the same girl, on the same day, at the same price!
Don't try to figure out Thai logic (There is none!) Just RTFF and ENJOY!
I always do!
Hotman.
