Sometimes people want to compare a place to the way it was in the past but it is what it is. A place can be less desirable than in the past but still enjoyable. Now you can see that as gringos invading a country and making it worse or you can see it as men discovering a place where they can enjoy themselves and having fun.

I enjoy visiting Medellin and will return again. At the same time, things do change and you need to adjust. Somethings that means instead of going to the bars, you go online instead. Or it could just be visitng the country but changing to a different city and starting over.

As some have said, Medellin getting too crowded for you, go to Bogota or Cali or any other city in Colombia where there are less gringos.

As for me, the more men decide to move on from Medellin, the better it is for me. Guys being drugged. Women asking too much money. Robberies on the street. Crime up against gringos. I say stay away so I can continue to enjoy Medellin.

One room was where all the girls were shown and several rooms where you went to have your fun. I was with 3 girls, but had 5 different Whatsapp numbers. Each girl may have 2 or more ads with different pictures, names, and different numbers so you think you are getting different girls but it is the same girl because once you are there you will most likely pull the trigger. Similar boat to you. Late 30's, very minimal Spanish. When I was there in March, I really enjoyed New Life and Tantra Medellin. Some guys will say "you're not getting the real experience" but I am risk adverse as well. I took an Uber, got out and went straight in, had a great time, called an Uber and went back to my AirBNB. Minimal risk, good prices and a lot of fun. I also pulled a few times from Lleras and preferred the more relaxed atmosphere of New Life and Tantra. Heading back in the Spring and plan on spending most of my $ and time at those two places but might mix Loutron in simply for the "Escobar Mansion" appeal. Also heard good things about Club Atenea if you're looking for the massage / Nuru experience. Hope you had a safe trip and look forward to hearing about it.

I'm posting this in conjunction with an earlier TR I posted on the Bogota forum.

This dates back to March 2022, first visit to Latam.

I'd spent 3 nights in Bogota & was now heading to Medelland.

I'd set up a Facebook account & had a decent amount of paisas added to my friends list.

This was going to be my target area.

First girl up was a late arrival at my hotel Dix lodging, no guest fees here.

She seemed one of the more prominent FB girls & I'd been perving over her photos for some time.

I considered I'd fallen lucky that she was accepting my custom.

Only downside was the girl I chose quoted 500 k but then surprised me with 600 k at the Airbnb. She was hot though so didn't think too much of it. Def a mood killer of sorts but we still got it done. Learned my lesson after that.

9/26.

We did the touristy thing and went to walk by Comuna 13. After we walked around and had some beers we went to the 24 HR spot around 6. That will be my focus when I go back.

I went thru there.

A guy was was helping people to use the machine.

Pit my passport and use the flight number and went thru.

No stamping of my passport.

When the going rate for decent girls was 150-200 K what was the exchange rate? 2,500 pesos for the dollar. Today it is 4,400 pesos to 1 dollar. So, if you do the arithmetic that would be a range of 260350. In that range there are more good, decent girls than a person could possibly see, even on an extended vacation. And with the mass migration to the cities there are even more girls who grew up in the pueblos that are available today.
