That is one big advantage to Medellin versus anywhere in Asia. For Americans, the flight is much shorter and cheaper. I took a flight that took over 27 hours with the layover to get from United States to Thailand an airline ticket was $1,600. When I fly Spirit to Medellin, It is 7 hours with the layover and $500. If you're flying from Florida, it is even cheaper and shorter. That extra money and time buys you a lot of girls in Medellin.
