Thank you for your advices![/QUOTE]My experience is that you can bring a girl to your room without extra charge, if she doesn't stay overnight (that's also the reply I got from Mercure hotels when asked by email). No problems in Ibis hotels. Last time when in SP, I stayed in Bourbon Ibirapuera. I brought a lady I have known for longer time to stay overnight. The hotel told me that they are going to charge me extra, even if double occupancy was reserved, but in the final bill the wasn't any extra charge.
I think it's better to take a girl you don't know to a motel. You don't have to worry about your valuables and the noise you are making etc.

You have always the alternative to go to a clinica, do an hour at the place, and if you like the girl make arrangement to take her out.
Be shure you're in posession of an original ID (your driver's license P. Ex.) and a copy of the front page and the brazilian visa page of your passport.
You will not be allowed to get into a motel in Sao Paulo without an ID and the copy of your passport or the original passport.
In Rio apparently the motels are less strict on enforcing this law. Sao Paulo is not Rio !
