As I rounded down the unit, I was met what all seemed to be the same person. 45-65 year old rotund, non-vaccinated men lying on their bellies being supported with non-invasive but high oxygen supplementation. During my exam, always politely asked about their reasoning for not getting vaxxed. All answered the same way, "yeah, I should have just gotten the vaccine. " Fortunately, I was able to tell most that they were doing okay and could hopefully move them out of the ICU sooner rather than later.

Emergency room filled with mild cases being evaluated, treated and sent home. Vaxxed numbers in Emergency room was significant but admission numbers heavily skewed towards unvaxxed with unvaxxed admissions 3 x to 4 x greater.

Heard of 2 colleagues who were on home rest with covid infections. They were vaxxed in December and January. Booster shot recommendations seem to be inevitable. I'm okay with that. Anti-vaxxers will surely use that to be point against covid vax. Nasal spray vaccine research underway to serve as a better method for the long haul. I'd keep my eye on that.
