Mongering in Ulsan, anyone interested to meet up?
I'm in Ulsan for a few weeks (staying at Lotte hotel) , looking for good mongering spots. I've searched through the forum here and there are some spots that sound interesting: Hollywood club, Las Vegas, Neptune. 7 club. Can anyone provide specifics on the locations of these clubs? (something I could tell a cab driver. Note that I am a caucasian american that can't speak korean) From the sound of it, these places aren't a bargain, but I don't mind spending a bit extra to avoid frustration, plus I prefer a club type environment where I can "shop around" a bit. Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well. I am traveling with a few colleagues, but they aren't really down for mongering. Is there anyone interested to meet up some night? (late evening 10 pm, any night in the next two weeks. Except Fri & Sat as I'm going to Seoul then).. If so, please PM with your mobile # and I'll give you a call.
Strolling through Gwangju
I was feeling restless so I'd decided to take a stroll through Gwangju. Was in the area of the Gwangju Bus Terminal, saw all those Motels and decided to inspect the area further. Their were quite some barber pole shops but what confused me first was the &51060; &50689; &50900; (I-yong-wol) because I expected I-yong-shil (&51060; &50689; &49892. Decided to enter anyway, doesn't hurt to ask. I am a kyopo, my korean is medium but I was raised with the local accent so if I don"t talk too much, people don"t necessarily notice.
It was around 10pm and totally empty. From a small room came a grandpa and ushered me to come closer. I was hesistant and asked whether they also provide service and he replied "Just sit down, I'll take care of you, no worries." It didn't look like there was anybody female around and since I am not bicurious I decided to retreat.
In the following hour I covered about 9 shops in the area but none of them really motivated me. Mostly because the ladies there were all clearly in the mid40s and I was hoping for something younger. But I stayed long enough to ask the basic questions. All but one asked for 80k, which would cover an hour (massage and ser-bi-su). One of them wanted 110k and I left without saying anything. Asking whether they accept Kyopos they all just waved that aside and told me to enter. When I wanted to know whether foreigners are ok, most of them frowned and said "maybe later" which usuallu means no. One lady (actually the nicest of them all) pretended not to understand.
Directions: Took bus number 36 to the Bus terminal. When you get off the bus, bo back to the last intersection. Across the street you will see a Kumho tire shop and behind that many motels. The barber poles (saw 4, including grandpa) are hard to miss.
When you go back towards the city, you will pass the Emart and about 700m past that you will see again many Motels on that side, the barber poles are in the side streets there. One shop is directly on that street besides a cafe (forgot the name). They actually had the nicest facilities but nobody was there, though the shop was open. I used their landline phone to call the cell phone number written on the door and asked wether they are open and the lady replied that she would be there in 5 min. I didn't bother to wait because she sounded old as well.
I later asked a taxi driver whether he could recommend some nice anmas and he told me to try it in the Gwangju Newtown (sang mu ji gu) , after which I kicked myself because I was close to that area.
Anyway, long night, but unfortunately no luck. Which leaves me with a few questions:
1. Are their usually only old ladies working in these shops? Where can I find somebody younger (20s)?
2. Did I go there too late? Is there a good time?
3. Passing one of the motels I saw a car dropping two gorgeous girls. The driver yelled a bit that they were late and ushered them towards the motel. Looked to me like an incall, does anybody know how to do that in the motels?
Sorry for not being able to tell you about some action. Hopefully this will change soon.
