Yes Dohhh BA makes TJ look like minor league. And although I enjoy the Mexicanas, I have to say the chicas are nicer too.

I would recommend you stay in an apartment in Palermo or Recoleta. For bars go to Newport which is in Recoleta. They have a some semi pros. After hours (3am+) go to Cocodrillo where all the pros go to make some money because they struck out earlier at all the expensive clubs. During the day I would recommend one of the apartments or Cafe Exedra or Cafe Orleans downtown.

Buenos Aires is RAD! But that being said, after all my world travels, it is the city that I have had the most problems in. Granted I was there in a time of economic collapse, but make sure you know where you are going.

If you get a chance to make it to Uruguay, I'd take it. This is their summer and quality of girls in the beach resorts is unbelievable. Punta del Este is the main resort town and I think the girls are a little more down to earth than in Argentina, that goes for prices too.

It has been about 4 year since I've been to Uruguay but I still love it.

I'm not sure where you're looking, but yes, there is a Uruguay thread. If you can't find a chica in Montevideo you're in really bad shape. There are touts all over 18 de Julio, you can look on this web site. You can get El Gallito, the local paper, which has a lengthy classified section for most types of hobbying. You can also look at the web site called mr relax. It's only in Spanish but apparently you are fluent. This has extensive info on the local scene, including massage parlors, apartments, sw's etc. If you are not fluent in Spanish you will have some problems. They also now have a foreigner surcharge. Many of the places used to have the menus with prices on the walls. Tell them that is what you want to pay. Again, I'm not sure why people find hobbying in Uruguay a problem. It's much nicer than the US by far.
