Since nobody has posted anything, BBII does deserve the "senior member" benefit of the doubt.
Four Points remains one of the most GF establishments in DXB. Green light.
Wrong side of the creek, but the sofitel is in the same mold. Totally GF.
Enjoy.

Hi all!
Can someone put together Bravo's original work on hotels in Dubai in an inter-active tabular form? That way, members can update the table so that current info. is available. I would have done it myself, but am not computer savvy enough. If someone in DXB can moderate it, it would be immense public service. Thank you guys and just my $0.02.
Cool Nomad
Yeah, someone should do that!
I guess RTFF and UTFSE are out of the question.
Ingrate!
Saturday night I tried to bring a guest to the Orchid Hotel. The front desk clerk stopped us and asked for her passport. She had only a photocopy and no visa page. He refused her entry and refused 100 Dhs gratuity. He said it is Ramadan and if caught would be responsible for a 50,000 Dhs fine. So we went to her dump. BEWARE.
While I have no doubt that is what he told you, hotels actually only have to report guests within 24 hours, hence the "Gf" hotels out there.
Agreed that they may be under more scrutiny during Ramadan, but that is no excuse.
Last year I checked in as "Mr. and Mrs. Sporadic" and they NEVER asked me for Mrs. Sporadic´s passport details. Seven days of strolling in and out without so much as a blink.
I think this places the Orchid in the yellow zone at the least.
Orchid Hotel during Ramadan
Think the key clause here might be during Ramadan. MY experience: heightened sensitivities and lower tolerance of certain behaviors.
is it near?
Define 'near'. Too far to walk, though.
I'm planning to visit dubai in couple of weeks and would like to know if there are any GF hotels in bur dubai area. Every little info will help.
Thank YOU
I'm planning to visit dubai in couple of weeks and would like to know if there are any GF hotels in bur dubai area.
Sorry, no GF hotels left. All closed for Ramadan, then Eid. Rumor has it that they will not be allowed to reopen, DXB, like BKK, trying to change it's image. Best go elsewhere.
Or, RTFF.
Your choice.
Gentlemen,
is somebody around here who has expierence with this hotel?
Will join you after Ramadan.....
thanks
Shos
Shos,
I would avoid it like the plague.
Dry hotel, dour place (nobody smiles) and not GF at all. Way too many long beards, families and TCN´s sitting glumly around the lobby.
Rooms are ok, but never again.
Sporadic
thanks for your advice....getting more and more a problem finding a resonable place to stay for 8 people during this time fucking GITEX exhibition....

Please, how can you visit a country that people do not smilie at all?
I am not sure who your comment is directed to Mr. Hammer, but given the conditions in DXB, I would suggest that there are plenty of smiles, from all nationalities.
