It is GIGANTIC. You are so right that butt is something else. It was so nice, I had to do it twice! This place is so much fun! And thanks to you guys who informed me about BA 85. Going to BA allows me save cash and still monger in style.

500 reals is definitely very high but you are right about help girls raising there prices. there must have been a meeting of the local 140 gdp union where they decided 200 reals was too low. it seems to me 300 reals is the norm these days. you can get girls for 200 but the top quality gdp's are definitely more then 200.

This place is sounding more and more like my kind of establishment!
Just wondering if someone with minimal portuguese can get by going in there.
Do you pay the girls the money when you've popped or is their a cashier like
other termas?

I think I might be going straight past Help and heading northbound to Centro! FCUK paying 300R when I could be paying 60!! Thanks for the Centro guide Sperto, and to all you guys for the heads up!!

Just as a side note though, what is the best way to get to and from Centro? I mean, I've got no quams catching the train there in the afternoon, but can I just walk out of a terma at 8 or 9pm and grab a cab on the street? All this talk about Centro after dark has me a little concerned is all.

I came back from Rio a couple of weeks ago. Before, I have visited Thailand and other place and was really curius about Brazil. I read here in this forum a lot and got many usefull informations, thank you very much all.

I visited Help 2 x and Monte Carlo 1. There at Monte Carlo I hooked up with a very very beatfull young lady. I took the 1 hour offer for 350 (I think).

I arrived there on a Friday at about 5pm. There was about 12-14 ladies from all races, heights, blonds, brunettes etc. She gave me a BBBW + 1 x sex. She was surley one of the most beautifull ladies I ever had sex with. The room was small and didn't have any shower and wasnt as clean as I expected. I asked if there was a bigger room, but the young lady (can't remember her name now) said, that all rooms are standard.

So this wasnt so pleasant.

But the overall service was very very good.

Help was an absolut disapointment. Lots of ugly women, many on drugs, some very very ugly and a few beatifull.

Comparing Rio with Bangkok, I would say that Rio has more atmosphere and class. But when it comes to the ladies, I would say Bangkok wins.

Not that I wouldn't travel to Rio again, no I would. But my next destination would be Bangkok.

Never use the hooks provided on the door or the wall, as they will always make it easier for someone to get to your valuables and never use your shoes or socks to hide any money, these are the first places they will look.

Place footwear in a corner furthest from the doorway, used condom basket or any open space accesible from outside the cubby hole and then roll your pants up with pocket openings facing innward, starting at the belt end. Then roll the rolled up pants with your shirt or tee shirt and place this roll on top of footwear. Briefs go on top of pile in case of need for a fast exit.

A variation of this, would be to use the roll as a pillow, which might make it slightly easier for her to get at your valuables, but this would free up your footwear for use on standing up positions.

Finaly, always have at least 2 secret stash locations on your clothing with enough cash to pay your way out of the place or to satisfy a robery, nowdays thats about 50 reais, depending on the area.

You give the money either to the girl to give to the cashier or you just hand it to the cashier yourself. Then you go in the back with the girl.
People in spots like this only speak Portuguese. If you read our reports carefully you will know what to do so with minimal Portuguese you should be alright.
Just go in sit down and call a girl over when you are ready.

P.S. Since I have been "advertising" BA85 a bit I would like to issue a disclaimer of sorts. Please remember that centro is not Copacabana.
Though I have no problems in these small casas I did notice a Brazilian guy take off his gold chain before going upstairs. Even Brazilians are cautious. '

Also I am highly educated and know a lot about Brazilian culture, history, and politics, which, I am sure, all helps me to interact. Many people do not know I am an American until they start to speak too quickly for me to understand and then get suspicious. But by then they have accepted me as a man who is respectful.

Nobody there speaks any English, but honestly, you don't really need to speak any Portuguese either. As soon as you see a girl you fancy, go over to her, say "Vamos", and that's it. She will take you to the cashier, you give the cashier whatever money you want to to dish out (R$1 per minute), buy some condoms if you need to, and that's that. If you need change back, just say the time you want to pay (15 minutos, 20 minutos, 30 minutos, etc.), and they will give you change right there and then. Personnally, I find that easier than going to the cabine with the girl first, giving her the money, and waiting for her to bring back the change. Occasionally, not often, but sometimes, the change mysteriously disappears :)

So you see, there's really no need to talk a whole lot in any language.

It's always upfront, always. Don't worry about it, it's very little money you got to lose, and honestly, I never had a dud there. If you're unsure about a girl, pay for an initial 15 minutes, and if you want more of the action, you can always extend.

P.S.: I agree with TJ: while I have never had any problem in any of those places, quite to the contrary, actually, and never heard of or witnessed any trouble, it always pays off to keep a low profile. Dress down, don't flash money or jewelry, don't get too drunk, be extra-polite to everyone, including all the Brazilians who go there just for a quick look and feel because they don't even have the little money these ladies command. Relax: most of the Brazilian wanna-be mongers are very curious to see a foreigner there because, in all likelihood, they have never ever seen any there. Once they know you are cool and just one of them guys, they are cool... never had any issue with resentment there.

Last time I was there, back in 2006, every single time I went, there was this old guy hanging out on the 3rd floor. When I say old, I mean something like 80+. Every single day, he was there, fondling the girls. Just gotta love it: how many retirees in the US keep spending their days in a casino feeding their hard-earned dollars into slot machines, while in Rio... they hang out with the sluts. Priceless, just priceless.

I would say all this is true about all the out of the way places, VM included. You do see guys entering from time to time with backpacks, and I'm sure they don't have the same supplies that I carry with me. I have at times been coming from school, or from some more respectable venue, and have actually had a laptop with me. While this was never my intention, sometimes the mood just hits me.

I do agree, you need minimal portuguese, unless you're looking to take one of these girls after their shift. Drinking, 3 beers for R$10 is great, but in between sharing with the girls, and drinking myself, I tend to add a few more reais to my bank-roll.

They may look rough and tough, but these places are very low key.

There are a lot of other Terma's with Lindas Gatas in the BA85 area, at least about 20 other terma's that look secluded like BA85. The working girls vary depending on the day.

Like El Austriaco said most of theses places never seen a gringo, and don't speak English,but if you understand simple terms and act cool its no problem.
