The only prob being that most Philippine ISP's insist on a minimum contract (usually 12 months). Their service stinks as well. If you google a Pinoy ISP review sites you will be amused at the inventive vitriolic invective heaped on these ISP's particularly Globe, Smart and PLDT. Hope you have better luck and enjoy your time in the Philippines.

BTW have you or any other member had experience with the Philippine section of Adult Friend Finders? There seems to be an awful lot of cute looking pinays on there (and an equally large number of grannies and woofers). Is it rich pickings or a waste of time?

Am a member of the site. Yes there are a few good ones there but an awful lot of dogs and ones where even a brown bag over your head would not be sufficient :D

But the real issue is that if you really want the better pickings you need to pay. So I use DIA and CB for some fun.

Just for fun I went over & registered in Asian Friendfinder & Filipino Friendfinder. Got hits immediately in AFF. FFF nothin.

I got so many hits from DIA that i had to hide the profile!

Smart has an option of using a cell phone as the modem for your laptop. This does not require a contract with them. On my last trip I spent so much more money than I needed looking for hotels that had Internet available in the rooms.

This times I am looking for places that offer good weekly rates so that I can move around a lot. I plan to spend a month or so in both Cebu and Davao.

Date In Asia has been great so far, easy to use, free and you can even put your yahoo id in your profile if you like. Just click on the "last active" and find a cute girl that is on line. They do not have a great search function, like FH and Bu they do have a link at the bottom listing all the different cities, so you can hit up all thy cute girls in the city of choice a few days before your visit.

Sojourner, I have a Friedster profile, never look at it, and find it a pain. The friend list creates problems as someone has posted on ISG about a year or two ago. Fking friend contacts some other fking friend and you know how jealous Filipinas can be...

I am new to Friendster so someone else could offer more knowledgeable advice, but during the joining process, I saw a window of people it was going to contact. You can uncheck everyone and avoid having too many friends when you start. However I suspect they keep addresses, so anyone who as asked you to join in the past will probably be notified. Not sure who else gets a 'heads-up' but the companie's focus is on getting people to have as many friends as possible, so they probably give a note to others who are already a part of friendster. Just a guess.

X, my Manila GF is a mad friendster addict so of course I had to get one also... ugh. Great if u want to sniff out women for contacts but a pain as u say when they all post those damn 'bulletins' to u & everybody they know. U can turn a lot of this rubbish off in your account settings or just remove them as a friend. The account settings are at the top right of the page.
Another thing i do is to make my profile 'private' & make it visible only to friends, friend requests are set to manual approval.
I had the same experience with Tagged & Ringo.

Telling her you feel SCAMMED, could just result in a scammer refining her technique. And if a girl is so desperate to try these kinds of stategies, she may very well be open to suggestions when you meet face to face.

First Filipina I ever tagged was gained from chatting online. A gym trainer in Manila. Presently married to someone reading this now in New York. Ha-ha. Sorry had to laugh to myself.

Second was a teacher of Physical Therapy at a prestigious university. Also now in the US married in my hometown at that.

In my experience most of the girls have been on some hi tech shit (hi tech shit hometown slang for fucking crazy) I had one in Davao who would always strip for 10 dollars on web cam. At first I loved it but then I guess maturity kicked in and I started to feel sorry for her. She was “virgin” when I met her for the cherry obsessed crowd. Last I heard of her some Filipino guy had knocked her up and she tried to kill the baby by drinking some poison that didn’t work. Then she turned around and asked me for the abortion money.

The other ladies had the all familiar “I want to get married and go work in the states” routine going.

Cebu is lighting rod for the chatters. Chatted with one Cebuana an Accountant recently that was suppose to meet me in Phuket but canceled that after the hi tech shit in her came out.

Now chatting with a 22 year old gorgeous nurse who is suppose to be meeting me next month the wheel turns and turns....
