Freeze can speak for himself, but I would say not better than "everyone else", but CERTAINLY better than an ignorant simpleton like yourself and your jew-bashing [I am not Jewish but I AM Offended by such bigotry] partner in stupidity Chorizo (AKA "El Rey de Cali"; court jester is more like it).

Freeze has contributed more to this board than just about anybody, yet YOU and your ilk criticize him for trying help guys avoid wasting money on ATM fees. Frankly, why he continues to try and help people here is beyond me given the "appreciation" received from people like Simpleman & Chorizo.

El Culion: Perhaps bank fees in Europe are different, but Freeze has lived in Cali for several years and is a VERY intelligent guy. Therefore, I give more credence to his statements on the issue than to yours (or others who do NOT live there). If your comment to freeze "you leave me clueless" was not meant as a flame towards him, I apologize for my flame directed at you.

I do not have a problem on this board with anyone else than Chorizo and Mojo Raising (which blessed us with his absence). Simple Man, I feel, was not offline in his message and has the right not to understand an issue that is not his. He is cordial, and as far as I can tell, well-intentioned.

I withdraw between 3 and 4 million every month here in Cali. That makes me a bit special in the sense that I do not have only the typical tourist issues to deal with (it's rare that a tourist will need so much money). On the other end, my initial message posted a couple of days ago was fairly straight forward (here's the situation change - and I even apologized for the people that believe that it's not the right forum for such message). I kept it short and sweet not to offend anyone, but still to communicate the RELEVANT information. Hopefuly the people that are affected by that issue will appreciate the information when needed, for the others, just go on an continue talking about the women.

Peace, on earth, but let's start with this board and Colombia.

Antifreeze then responded on his own behalf. My latest post to Antifreeze stated that I understood his concern with the bank fees and was a suggestion of how he may solve his problem and did not bash him in any way. I further stated my opinion as to why the banks charge the fees.

Some reading and comprehension exercises may really pay off for you in the long run.

I did however bash your pompous self-glorifying ass. You contribute absolutely nothing to this board other than insulting comments and being hyper-critical of whatever anyone else posts. You claim to have knowledge but never share any of it. There is no actual information contained in any of your posts.

Further, I have never made a "jew-bashing" comment or any other racial slurr on this board. I understand that you are left with few alternatives on how to respond to my comments directed at you because the truth is very difficult to avoid.

Attempting to group me with anti-semetic comments which were made by others, however, is a pretty weak dodge, even for a self-absorbed ass like yourself. Simply because someone else is tired of your BS does not make them my partner.

I would suggest that, when confronting an ignorant simpleton like myself, you put a little more effort into your response. Otherwise you may come off as even more ignorant than the simpleton you are trying to attack.

OK, I am a pompous ass. Now can you quit cluttering the board with your longwinded (and repetitive) diatribes?

For the record, I am VERY helpful to those culturally sensitive travelers who I believe will not further erode the goodwill towards gringos like happened long ago in Mexico, Costa Rica etc. Unfortunately, I find that this group is in the minority on this public board (and many others as well). Freeze has met more WSGers than I, I do try and post about travel, safety and logistics issues (like which ATMs offer higher limits-sorry if you find that unimportant), but do not post lists of casas or phone numbers of good independents which I've found. The lists might encourage people to go to unduly dangerous areas, casas come and go as does the relative talent. Taxistas have MUCH more current info on the best casas than these types of regurgitated lists anyway.

I do not recall who listed Las Professionales at http://ikari.vosn.net/~lasprofe//english_version.htm . This is an incredible site that has some of the most beautiful girls in Cali. I chose Margarita for 200,000 ($80) WOW!!! Smokin hot.

I travel all over S.America for over 30 years and have been mongering all that time. It is so good down here, that I am moving to Quito, if anyone has info on some contact numbers there please let me know.

I found a place where chicks charge from 5 to 8 dollars an hour, it's located downt town where truck drivers go after being so long on the road, you can knock out the price to 3 dollars, they are very flexible on prices, the address is calle 8 # 13C-10

FYI:

I have someone in Cali right now that came with travelers checks and US cash. We've been all afternoon yesterday running around to get that changed to Colombian pesos. I tell you, it's quite a mess. First the banks won't even change the US currency if you don't have an account with them. Western Union won't change the US currency if you don't have an account with them either. How odd is that? My wife ended up finding a place that can change both US currency and travelers checks, but you have to show up between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM. I'll post the details when I'll have them.

All that to say that Cali is truly not a turist friendly city. Your best bet to have access to your money is still the ATM.

Only mongered in Bogota, so am curious. is Cali a lot different. lookswise, price wise, time wise, attitude wise, etc..?

My best friend is actually marrying one from Bogota. That should be interesting! And I introduced them!

By the way, if any of you fellow mongerers want to get down there cheaply, I have tons of miles leftover from my business travels that I can unload for a price much cheaper than a ticket from Travelocity or from your travel agent. It works especially well for people coming from the northern states. It works best for those with flexible schedules. Sooo, if your costs to go to Cali or other cities in Colombia are $700 or more, I can save you a bundle. This way I can get rid of my accrued miles and you can quit getting hosed for a trip to Colombia, especially since Colombia seems to be one of the more expensive countries to go to down there.
