Is Rainbow 4 in Soi Cowboy?

Sorry if this should go in the hotels section but its a general question rather than info so I'm posting it here - I'm currently in Pattaya (having a great time-report in that section to follow!) ,I have to catch a 9 am flight from BKK airport Wednesday morning so I'm thinking of heading back to BKK tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon. Can anyone recommend an area where I can tell the taxi driver to drop me where I will be able to turn up on spec and find a room for one night?

i'd like to compliment your excellent reports and sympathize with your search for bbfs. it is certainly possible to find it in bangkok, though it can be frustratingly difficult. i think you'd have considerably better luck in pattaya.

it's a real pleasure after all this writing seeing that some guys like my poor stories, my crazy search of bbfs and of course, the pictures.

I'd suggest asking him to take you to a hotel that he will likely know how
to find, such as The Landmark {5 star joint}:

There are quite a few other hotels of varying quality w/i a 5 minute walk
on the slight chance that they cannot accomodate you, or you do not
prefer to stay there. With it being the low season you should be ok and
have no worries about sleeping on the road :D

The girls would start filing in at 11.30pm, which meant I could get into town, have dinner, have a massage and play some pool at Soi Zero before working my way thru the parking lot to the disco. Perfect and so many sweet semi-pros.

Went into the hotel, saw there was no Entry Fee desk at the back, so I went back to take a look. Just 5 ladies (I can't say they were young enough to qualify as girls) listlessly lounging. So I'm not surprised to see the demise. Too bad.

I am one of those people who used to go to Nana Disco over 10 years ago and the parking lot. It's changed drastically on talent and numbers. It's been on a downward trajectory for quite awhile now and that means more than two years ago. When I started going, there was no entrance fee. It was packed. Then they started charging to get in and numbers started to decline. I told the manager it wasn't good, but nothing ever happened and it kept on declining. They had to be making money before the entrance fee, but to me they got greedy. Even the Thai women going there would buy themselves drinks, not all but some. The key was to get men in there and the women being there did bring them in and drinks were being bought. I believe they charged the women the same deal and it all got broke up. That place used to be packed. It was fun trying to walk from one end to the other.

Of course we don't know all the details about their costs and such. I think management or ownership and whoever else came leaching screwed up by trying to take advantage too much of the popularity of the place.

A few weeks ago, I was surprised that the parking lot had some decent women there after 2 am. Other recent visits it was pretty bad. Don't know if it was just a fluke that one night. It's still not anything close to before, and that means before 2007.

In the Dave The Rave piece (google for his blog) about Angels/Nana Disco, he hinted that the reason for the door fee rising may have been due to increasing tea money requests. I honestly have no idea. Maybe it was greed on the part of the owner. We have no way to know why it happened, short of asking the owner, who is an Aussie named Rick apparently.

This is low season, so keep that in mind if you're saying the parking lot has declined dramatically in quality. The real test is how good it is in January.

There's a fair chance something will open in the place of Angel disco. I'm surprised no one's speculating yet about that, or even knows anything.

There's usually some BG that has hooked a sponsor who wants to open some business. I've had requests for night clubs, bars, shoe stores, coffee shops, drink stands, chemicals for plants, Housing for students, piggery, internet shops, you name it some girls have asked for cash to start things like this.

And two girls actually have / had damn good business plans and proposals for their operations and some made perfect sense how they figured it all out. Amazing that they gave me sales pitches that were better thought out, better planned, etc.. then what I here in real life.

So I'm sure something will happen also there.

Like the NicFrenchy said don't get cheap now! you can't put a price on your life even if it's double. Look at it like a pair of shoes, if it fits and feel good you buy it even if it's not on sale.
