Great report, Zip Head - spearfishing, eh? That sounds cool, and it should indeed be 'open season' on the Caribbean lionfish. They are nasty customers, even if they are photogenic.

Good to hear about another scuba operation in Sosua. I made no bones about my shill for Scuba Elite, a couple of weeks ago; I am glad to know about another top-notch dive shop, just in case Kerrie is out of town next time I visit Sosua.

Sounds like you were quite adventurous beyond the diving. Good for you! And thanks for your report!

Waiting in a line at a hotel to check in a chica so she can visit your room can be annoying. You may want to consider renting an apartment in Sosua for a future trip. Large refrigerator and gas stove, you can prepare your own food or get one of your novias to cook for you.

The Sosua Bay seemed pretty empty as did most of the hotels in town....still tons of chicas available, both Dominican and Haitiano, especially in the evening, and didn't see any hassles from the local police, although the girls all told me there had been problems. It is definitely a buyer’s market right now, the mongers have the leverage.

Overall, another excellent trip to Sosua...........perhaps not the supreme mongering destiination in the world, but you can't beat the convenience and proximity to the U.S. at a location that includes a nice beach and a variety of ocean sports.

Did a run early October last month. First and last time coming and being with only one chica the entire time. I now see that it is a complete waste to fly all the way over there and to be with only one chica when you have literally hundreds of chicas just begging for you to take them. I initially only agreed to do this with said Haitiana because she is very GFE and I figured it would be a good way to save some money.

I arrived there on Thursday. By Saturday morning I was hunting for places such as Rocky’s and NG trying to book a room to sneak off to later with another chica. The Hatiana had left for the morning to check on her hijo. After walking around (after eating what I found out was called “alitas de pollo frito” for lunch (chicken wings in Spanish. I know what chicken wings are; I just didn’t know how to order them in Spanish. They (Terra Linda) kept giving me the chicken they use for La Bandera. I had to go into the kitchen and point out the chicken parts I was looking for, lol). Checked out the room at Rocky’s. Not great, but good enough for ST. Do not like that they require a deposit. Left to check out rates for rooms in the old wing at NG. $55 USD per day. Decide on the room at Rocky’s since the price was lower and they give you your deposit back. Go to the store and buy some soap. Go back to the room to get the money for Rocky’s, condoms, and lube. Put everything in the plastic bag. Just as I am about to reach for the door handle: “BOOM, BOOM, BOOM!!!” It’s the Haitiana banging on the door like she’s the fucking police. She also had her sister with her. I think she brought her along in case she caught me in the room with another chica and they probably would have either jumped on her on me. I immediately throw all my shit back in the closet. Operation “Double-book”: Fail.

Terra Linda is still my favorite hotel. All you need is the single queen for $69. It was nice to have the King size room when it was going for the promotional rate of $55 back in May. The internet was out the first day I was there. I saw one guy on here saying he was going to write a complaint, lol. I asked them about it and they said the company would come out the next day. The thing about Terra Linda is that when their internet works, it REALLY works! Had no problems with it the rest of the trip. Also mostly ate in the restaurant at Terra Linda as well (except for breakfast. I usually entrust Bailey’s with this task). It’s a damn shame you have to hop across the pond to get a decent mojito. The chica that works behind the bar at the TL restaurant made the Mojito so damn good that I was even eating the mint sprigs! The ribs at Terra Linda are a little better than the ones at Rocky’s IMO. We also ordered room service, but they tack on 60 pesos to your food bill. You have to remind them to come back for the dishes though. I guess they sent the guy to the wrong room when I called because no one ever showed. Me and the Haitiana ended up walking them up to the restaurant. I also like to hear the music down near the pool while showering (the bathroom window is open by default). Almost every time I’ve stayed at TL it seems that the New Yorkers take over the music in the evening. You really get a chance to hear some real old skool East Coast hip hop.

I still like New Garden, but I like that Terra Linda only lets the chicas hang around the hotel when it is happy hour. At New Garden they have chicas hanging around all day. They talk to fucking much, lol. The Haitiana claimed that her amiga told her that I fucked some other Haitiana back in March of this year when I stayed at NG. I don’t even remember who the fuck she is even talking about, lol.

Tipico Alberto's is also still a goo place to eat. I always get the Tacos Suave. Good priced too. Nice place to sit at night and watch the chicas and other folks walk by.

Saw mongers and chicas that I saw from back in March 2009. Felt kinda silly telling some of my regulars that I couldn’t go to the room with them because I already had a chica in there. Found out a new strategy though: I noticed the tigres will leave you alone if you tell them you already have a girlfriend.

Seriously, what’s up with the police out in front of El flow with shotguns drawn at night. It’s not that fucking serious. I understand Sosua had a female mayor now?

Anyway, this is the last time I will ever walk into Classico’s, do an entire lap around the inside and walk out empty handed because I already have another chica in my room. No mas!

All in all, October was kinda quite, but still lots of nice looking chicas around. Things got started much later than they usually do during peak season.

QUESTION: Dominicana from a little while ago. Anyone know the story on this chica? You would know if you had been with her. Did you also get the GFE Glenn Close Fatal Attraction Experience as well? Supposed to be a lesbiana, flipped the fuck out when she found out that I was leaving the next day when I had already told her this earlier. Apparently she thought I meant “Next Sunday.”

Zip how much was it for the fun dive?

For a while we were having people come to the forum, ask questions (without RTFF first), and (if they ended up going to DR) never coming back on the board to share info or pics. With that, I just decided to keep info to myself and to only hit up contributing mongers via PM.

Jamebrown9 and Ziphead with their contributions to the photo gallery and Zip head's trip report gave me someone hope that the forum could return to greatness once again, lol!

I've actually been lurking in the MDE forum for a bit (I also see you've got a couple of those trips under your belt). As long as they've got some Colombianas with ass and hips on them like the chicas in DR then I may look into finding me second place to call home. I don't call the US, aka "sex prison" home anymore. I'm just here to work, lol.

$70 for a two tank dive; I brought my own gear, so think it would be a bit extra if you had to rent stuff.....but the Superior Dive in Sosua shop has really excellent rental gear.

But as BQ ribs told me " the few friends you do make and exchanging info via PM makes it worth it".

The Colombianas don't have ass and hips like the Dominicanas, but they make up for it with lady like qualities and beauty. I've been offered a business opportunity in Colombia and will probaly be moving there next year. People talk about the crime element in Colombia, but if you stay away from the drug culture, mind your own business, and remain low key nobody pays you any attention.

Us Santo Domingo guys may have lost our SW but we still have el béisbol. The best part about Dominican baseball is chica watching. Between every inning the cheerleaders dance on top of the dugout and you don't want to miss it.

People will soak up all the info they can but won't as much as come back after their trip with a thank you. I often look at the "view count" on photos posted but very, very few, if any, will bother to post a comment. What bugs me is that the Dominican Republic forums are usually without any flame wars so why are lurkers afraid to post?

Us old timer vets can get boring after awhile. Vets can tell you what time the casas close, where to eat, taxi fares but the newbies' reports will keep you laughing. I still remember how I used to look forward to the next episode of Coolie High's trip.

SavePros321 only time will tell but it would be nice for those who don't post to start.
