Gays in santo domingo and zona colonial is nothing new.
I wanted to share this story on my novia's brother getting arrested smoking marijuana. My novia lives in a barrio back behind Las America's highway. Like any barrio you always need to be aware as you should always be careful and aware of who you are with and where you are. Anyway, I always go over and visit my novia and her family. Well the next door house is from what I can observe a house where individuals get high in the backyard including my novia's brother. On many times I have sat in the back of my novia's house and smelled the marijuana. It was obvious that these young kids I would say early twenties controlled the neighborhood, but as we all know nothing lasts forever.
Long story short, on Sunday they were all out in the back getting high around 12pm and the police swooped in and rounded all of them up. It is clear someone in the neighborhood dropped a dime on them. Again, the barrios might be poor, but that does not mean people approve of drugs. On Sundays in the barrio, you can see a thug, but also see someone in a suit, dress going to church. The point I am making is never get comfortable with thinking you do not standout and you will not get caught doing something illegal. I say that because sometime ago I read on this board about someone getting high in the barrio. To me you are asking to get caught as someone will drop a dime on you. Now, these guys are going to have to pay to get out of jail. Again, you know young people they think they know it all and you cannot tell them anything. Those are the last people you need to be doing anything illegal with.
Also, I told my novia, do not even think to ask me for money as I am not down with that. He fucked up now he got to pay the piper.

I ran into one girl that is a scammer. I would avoid her. It started with need money right away for the University. Please send it before you come. This is at my initial talking stage to her. Then asking for me to bring her a cellular phone. It ended with her asking for 5, 000 pesos a day when I am there. Now I already knew better, and reinforced by this board, to never send money in this fashion. Especially with someone I have not even met. We will skip the obvious that we do not even know who is on the other end. I responded to her in a pleasant way that the normal cost of a chica is 1000 pesos a day. I would have even negotiated up to 1500. But her immediate response was," You are stingy, stay with your hookers then." "Pick who you want." I told her OK-ended the chat. Removed her from my DominicanCupid list, from the chat list and blocked her. She is listed as 18 years old with some beautiful pictures. She is listed in Santo Domingo on DominicanCupid as "la sexy". Her nickname is Cassandra. If you use DominicanCupid and see that name and wonderful pictures, avoid her. The rules said not to post links to photos or I would have given the link for you to go.

She never asked for money, but one day she wanted me to buy her a cell phone before I go to DR because she claim she doesn't have a cell phone and uses her house phone. Later that day she posted some pics on Facebook "via blackberry." I looked at some recent pics and some old pics a few months ago. In most of her pic she took of herself in the mirror she's holding a blackberry and most of her status updates were via blackberry. The next day we chat and she asked again for me to buy her a cell phone before I go to DR. I said, I thought you didn't have a cell, so who's phone you been holding in the pics. It took her 5 minutes to reply it was her friends. I LOL and deleted her from my friends list. Now she sending messages like why you don't talk anymore. LOL.

I hear these stories about girls all the time, I have honestly never had a girl pull that stuff. Supposedly some girl is meeting me at the airport tomorrow for my premier trip. I cam'd with her and she seems legit. I will be highly suprised if she's actually there though. I don't have any plans to really go searching her out and am going to book it to my hotel and get ready for a monster first night party spree. I think you're better off going in and leaving with no expectations, too many mongers think into things personally if a girl did ask me for money I'd be like letting you hang out with me is better than money, if she doesn't show up she is easily replaced. I'm excited to explore Santo Domingo for the first time, as I live way too far from my favorite spot hopefully DR will prove to be more than adequate.
Understand the golden rule you have the gold so you rule. The lady will be there waiting for you with a big smile on her face. She lives in a house with no hot water and buys food a day at a time. She will be there happier to see you then you are to see her. Even more she will make love to you with a passion that will blow your mind because if she does not there are 10 other girls waiting for a chance to hookup. Treat her nice and you will have an awesome time. These relationships can be win win if the girls are not greedy and you keep your head.

My only expectations is for the Chica regardless if its a regular chica I see often or a chica that will just be a hit is too please me and I have fun with her. That can be achieved by treating them nice with respect and not be a sucker, but not an asshole either. I like mongering like others so I do always give myself some days for that also, but the GFE exp with a motivated chica is well worth it also. I take it on myself to get the chica motivated and it pays off IMO with great rewards. I like that GFE but I treated it for what it is and when I am gone I do not worry what she is doing because I have no control over it. Is the airport a good place to change money? Also do they have fairly large currency, I'm bringing 1k and in Phillipines that ended up being quite a large wad of money because I think the biggest bill was like 15-20$ equivalent. Staying at marriot w / casino first night until I get a lay of the land. I hope gambling isn't too corrupt there, I can't play in mexico but love to play in San Jose. It sounds like Santo Domingo is a lot more spread out in terms of mongering action. From a map I saw there is stuff everywhere. Is there that have to go place like Del Rey, or Manilla bay cafe, or Hong Kong bar? If this girl actually shows up then I got to figure out how to keep her occupied while I explore, eh grass is always greener I guess. I'm sure I will have some great pictures to post soon.

Amb832 Maybe this is the new thing. Since they mostly get no's on money beforehand they are adapting. The air port rate is not very good. I would change maybe 100 dollars there to have some local currency. Banks and Western Union give better rates 38. 6 vs 36. 5 at the airport. Your hotel will also change small amounts of currency if you need it.

I bought refurbished black berries for my chicas. They cost me 130 bucks. The chicas were thilled. This is a play if the chica is with you a couple of days. The ladies are looking for some gifts. Nothing in life is free. I figure TLN with a chica at a casa is 100 bucks. With the phone they are satified for the time you have them and will ask for less? I agree oldskool. Cellphones must be the rage as my new chica asked for a BB, but then her current one broke so she had to replace it. She got a new BB in days (own her own) , so I said you don't need one now eh? She upgraded her request to an iPhone 4S lmao!
