I understand your trepidations being a first time visitor. Before my first trip to Medellin, I had fears of being robbed by highway bandits on the way from the airport to the city. That was because of reading reports. After 15 years and nearing 100 trips, I haven't been robbed nor drugged. I've had small things taken, like a bag of candy, shampoo, scissors, tweezers; but nothing major. I stay in apartments, mostly without front desk security. I don't drink alcohol with the ladies, and I don't get drunk. I sometimes drink a glass of water with them, but I drink it all before sitting the glass down. Most of the ladies are just trying to earn some money to exist. I don't pick up women from Parque Lleras. I have picked up a very few in the past, and most turned into a bad experience.

Tatoo is normal. There is no reason to avoid them if you like the girl. In my experience, often the sex is the better with them.

It was at that moment I finally believed it was possible she really liked me.

The men's rights blogosphere say women shit test men all the time. They play this game to see if the men are just about sex or if they really like them, but we do it too. It is just money instead of sex. Take a woman to a mall. Does she spend the time with you or does she spend all of it in the stores and expects you to buy her something? When it is time for dinner, does she pick out an expensive place or is content to eat at the corner grill? Does she have a list of things she wants you to get when you see her in Colombia or does she say she just wants to see you?

Thing about shit tests is you are not the only one doing it. Everyone is doing it too: friends, family, strangers. I told the story of being in a cab. The cabbie thinks my gal is a hooker and he can overcharge me so I do not look cheap in front of her. She steps in and blasts him. He was shit testing me and her.

There is a lot that is made about whether a woman is a hooker or not, and I think it really is how they look at men. Do you respect him or just want his money? Long term, I want a woman who looks at me as more than an ATM.

I think the problem men have is not that they do not do the shit testing, but they do not look at the results. Your brain tells you the chick is no good but your dick says something else. The people who are not fucking her are a lot more objective than you are, and IMO you need to listen to them.

I had a 66 year old friend meet up with me and my gal at a social event, and she has a smoking hot 31 year old friend. She comes onto my guy friend who is married, and he told me she let him know in graphic detail she would fuck the shit out of him. He has money, but I do not think that was it. She saw how happy her friend was and she wanted that too.

So yeah, the ability to get a goregous woman unlike anything you can ever get in the USA can happen in Colombia. I met a 50 year old guy on a plane with a smoking hot 23 year old wife, but it is the exception not the rule. Based on what I have seen, there is a one in three or four chance she might not be the gold digging hooker type. You are not going to know until you meet her and shit test her.

Unless she is a tatted up El Centro type, I would not worry about being drugged. Go to a public place for the initial meet. That is not just for your safety but hers. Get her into bed as soon as you can. No matter how hot she is, if she is lousy in the sack, you are going to be looking at others if she is lousy in bed.

I know you want to fuck her but for long term, she needs to be so good in bed that you give up other women for her. If you cannot visit Colombia at least once every 3 months or fly her to a halfway point like Mexico, I would not even think about anything long term. The Colombian women really interested in me liked to video chat every night.

It probably is not going to work out but you won't know until you meet her and are around her for a while, but American guys, who are not that great looking themselves, can get the best looking women Colombia has to offer. I think you took me too literally when I said Colombian men are everywhere. I have been to Medellin 16 times in the last 2.5 years. I have an friend there and she tells me that she won't date anyone guy in her barrio. The way she describes where she lives are lots of instances of sexual harassment.

I also know lots of choices who have kids but get no help at all from the fathers. On several occasions girls that I have Uber'ed to my Airbnb have told me that drivers were hitting on them and many of those guys were much older.

There's a lot I don't know but I know enough to get by when I am out there.

Just look around Colombia and notice that you see almost no mixed foreign babies. So maybe they do not consider fucking as dating! I have felt perfectly safe going to the apartment of chicas who advertise online. It strikes me that they would be less inclined to drug a client at their place. Has anyone heard of a guy being scoped at the girl's residence?

There is a lot of comments about the crime in Medellin and how unsafe the city can be but there is a good side to all that crime. If Medellin was as safe as Thailand, the city would be swamped with foreigners. If you think it is bad now with the number of visitors to Medellin, wait until you see the numbers when Medellin is actually a safe city. At that point, you would be yearning for the "good old days" when Medellin was considered unsafe. Medellin is only 3 hours away from Florida. If people had little fear about the crime in Medellin, there would be more mongers coming to Medellin and the supply and demand factors would cause the prices to go even higher for the girls and they would be more popular.

So, be careful what you wish for!
