If her ex was such a loser, then how did he ever get another girlfriend? Or has he not had another in the past 16 years? We are all humans and different things float our boats as individuals.
I agree it's all about the girl and her choice of attire. If she isn't able or willing to tone it down and cover up then you should find another girl or stick to bedroom activities with her. I personally find it entertaining to watch the reactions of business owners and other customers when an unsuspecting punter rolls into an upscale place with a downscale pro. They don't generally enjoy it. Places like El Botanico and its sister restaurants, mostly around Provenza (La Cruda, Criminal, Burdo, Oni, etc.), are very tolerant because their formula is party places that also serve food. No one bats an eye when punters pull up with roadkill. The places like oci. Mde, La Provincia, and Cafe LE Gris are less welcoming.

However, when, for any reason, I have to enter a barrio that looks possibly problematic, I generally take a taxi/uber to and fro during daylight hours, which is when I visit. Nothing wrong with gents having different styles.
Quick answers: Gringo. Yes 100%; fluent. Pretty good, definitely intermediate; this was my 8th trip to Medellin, my first was in 2008 then a huge gap (marriage kids, divorce, etc.) until I went back again in 2022 and 6 more times in the last 3 years.

I'm 55, short at 5'5", the girls say I'm handsome, so I'll take that, and have blue eyes, I workout almost every day and I generally am presentable and wear a nice cologne, so I smell good.
So 2 strikes against, 3-4 strikes for, but I really believe that everything starts, for me at least, with a solid conversation in Spanish, with us maintaining eye contact. It changes the equation. If I say no to their price, I'm doing it with eye contact and basically letting them feel what could be. If they like the energy between us, their price almost immediately comes down, because they like the idea of fucking me for maybe a little less money than they'd charge to fuck the fat / obese guy who is by no means handsome, and doesn't smell all that good (saw a lot of those in / around Lleras and I almost felt sad for them knowing they came down to fuck girls that they'd have no chance at with back home and they realized it wasn't going to be much, if any, easier in MDE due to their appearance, smell, etc.) It all comes down to an A vs. Be situation. If I'm A and I meet a lot of their preferred boxes, then they'll choose me, even for less money, than be for more money. Really is that simple.
I think you meant prices are not as inflated as others have stated. My opinion is that prices are super variable, depending on the individual interaction happening at the specific point in time. Starting point for Lleras girls, many told me this, is $100 USD, which they interpret as $400 k Colombian pesos. Realizing $400 k is closer to $93 USD at current exchange rates, but I'm not going to tell them that.
Truly, prices are set by the girl at the moment, with the guy in question. I would see passport bros walk up to a girl, basically say "Hola", then immediately go to their phones and the translate app. The girls confirmed for me that it's always, "Wow, you're hot, how much, how long?" Which obviously IS the point of why we're there, but it does leave the girls feeling even more like a piece of meat in the butcher shop, which to them doesn't feel so good. One told me, I know I'm "puteando" and I do it with the intention of providing great service for my asking price, but the way these guys approach me, it makes me feel not great.
Again, I'm not judging, if you don't speak Spanish, what other option do you have? None, all good, I get it. But as my friend said during our trip, "Wow, interactions with the girls with you involved are so much different!" Yeah, because I do not involve my phone in any interaction with any of them. My Spanish probably low intermediate to high intermediate. I can have fairly detailed conversations on a great variety of topics, but it's by no means perfect. The difference is, as again my friend related when he thew down a great pickup lines in English, staring deep into my eyes, I was like damn that's good. Now how does that translate through a phone? It doesn't really because you're not maintaining eye contact and laying down your smooth lines. The difference is very, very real. Even the little cute chica at the beer shop next to glow was like, "You talk like a paisa, that's so great, and you're super cute!" She's adorable and far too complimentary. Do I really have any chance with her? Unlikely, but just the fact that our interaction is registering on a deeper level gives me a leg up.
What being able to interact in Spanish also does, and this to me is important, is I can immediately weed out the overworked hoes who all the Passport Bros and others have run through but who also have a bad attitude, a rushed "leche papi" attitude, etc, because I can lay down my rules ahead of time, kinda like an interview. No rushing, more affectionate / GFE, more time, more positions, etc. And believe me, there are a bunch of "ilusiones" who look fucking amazing, but once you get them in the room, it's like fucking a wooden plank. Zero emotion, zero affection (not even any acting, shit I realize we're acting her, so just act, please), zero anything other than uh, uh, dame leche papi, uh, uh. Horrible and a waste of money. There was 1 pair of 2 girls in particular constantly posted up just across from GLOW who looked like the proverbial brick shithouse, just incredible bodies, but zero personality and I could immediately tell, nope. Not going to happen. Why even waste a flyer on trying them when simply talking to them told me all I needed to know.

There may be 10,000 mixed people standing next to each other and your only metrics are the ones you see with freckles or blue eyes? So you were maybe able to pick 3 of the 10,000 out as being mixed.
