The Girl next door type whom I met in Medellin off Seeking was for me a really good first date. It was fun: good food, conversation, and sex. What I thought of as a good first date was really special to this one Colombian woman, and I think in hindsight she was not the only one who would say that. It is not that I am that great. It is just that the expectations of Colombian women on dates is usually pretty low.

And there is getting out of the American mind set about women where if a woman is upset or offended, the whole world must stop. If you do not like a woman and do not want to spend time with her, who cares how she feels? This whole notion that men cause women to have certain feelings versus the women having themselves herself is nuts. Her feelings are her issue not yours, but I can see why you think that would be a potential problem. There is literally no situation in the USA where a woman cannot be a victim and men are the reason for female suffering.

When I have seen Colombian women out of line with what they want, they get slapped right back into place by other women. There is not a legal system that rewards "victims". I do not embrace all of this, but believe me, when I came to Colombia, this lack of the victim mindset and accepting responsibility for your feelings and behavior was a welcome change. You are not going to hear the incessant complaining about men in public spaces like you do in the USA.

Shakira's tour name reflected that mentality. The name of her tour translates to real women do not cry, they earn and pay the bills.

I know delusions can be alluring. But when reality hits they can be painful or worse damaging also.

If a good looking Colombiana is dating you, there is a motive. Whatever that maybe. An upgrade. A green card. A scam. Financial help or whatever.

The delusion is that if you're a middle aged male that knows little Spanish and thinks you're entering some organic relationship. Take your blinders off.

That's not reality. All I'm saying is enjoy the fantasy, see it for what it is and stop with the lecturing.

Alternatively double down and know you deserve what you have coming. It's no more complicated than that.

Now if you're 20's, a fit good looking, solid Spanish speaker with US income and was pulling estrato 6 young women, you know the ones that get out of their Toyota forerunner SUVs with their amiga and have 2 cute well groomed dogs with them. I'm not saying the same. But they are not going to date the miggle aged overweight gringo. So a dose of reality is needed.

There's many other scenarios where a good looking Colombian will show you a good time but for most of us its a love fantasy.

If it is not something she likes, she can always give it to a friend who would appreciate it. I don't know about other guys but I give gifts without expecting anything in return. It is a gift, a gesture of appreciation to the girl usually for past performances. The price of the gifts are insignificant to me and to most guys. Most girls are appreciative of the gifts. You can give gifts if you want and you can not give gifts if you want. But no reason to criticize guys who give gifts to girls. Is it the same as giving a gift to the casher at McDonalds's? Only if the girl from McDonald's is engaging in intimate acts with me.

Now some guys say, these girls are all working girls and you should treat them like the working girls that they are. That isn't my attitude when I meet a girl in Medellin. Not all girls are the same as the streetwalkers you see in El Centro.

BTW, the girl that charged 150 USD don't even do blow job. This is worst than being priced out of the market.
