If you have specific questions for La Passion, you can email them directly from their site.

There is no headaches from La Passion chicas. You pay an extra price for that service but thr stated price is it (well the girl will expect a tip for good service). The menu they bring you is exactly the same as the website. For me, that is where I like to start my early evenings. You can roll in there, have a couple of beers, then get a girl. There is no long drawn out hunt. For me, I go for the 2500 peso special on the premises. You get two pops in a decent room. Also, you need not bring the girl back to your place, and I like that.

That allows me to spend my day doing more touristy things without thinking about girls.

There is a "CMP Club" (Caribbean Men's Paradise) on the same street. They are always working on getting you in there. It is high pressure which is stupid. I can catch hotter girls on the street plus I would rather have the girl try to get me to close the deal instead of some European guy chatting me up. I will not go back there.

Do your research but just relax. If you miss the girl you wanted today remember it is not like she is going to get drafted into the NFL. There is 99.9% chance she will be here tomorrow.

The hard part is selecting a good one.

Taking chicas out of Passions will differently increase your odds. The chicas I pulled from Passions were great. The menu price is all inclusive. I paid the bar manager 2, 500-3, 500 pesos depending on the day and time. None of the chicas tried to charge me extra. I enjoyed them so they got breakfast & a 500 peso tip in the morning

I offered the street/bar chicas 1000 peso for ST and 2000 for TLN last spring. I did not negotiate. If they refused no problem. There was always another fine chica standing behind them. Mike's suggestion of staying with ST offers is a good one. If the chica turns out to be a loser you're out $27 dollars no big deal. Just go back out and select another one. If she is a winner offer an additional 1000-1500 to stay until morning. She'll stay.

The number of pops really depends on you and the chica. For ST I expect only one, for TLN 2 or 3. I usually try for two at night and one in the morning. But it really depends on the time of night, how hard you partied, what your morning plans are, how agreeable the chica is and if you/chica are morning people.

Read the posts. You will find answers to all your questions plus a lot more usefully information. Follow the advice in the posts and you will have a great trip.

Thanks all you guys (Marc Anthony, beagle 0030, john from NJ). You guys gave some good tips for ST / LT/ about passion. I will enjoy more with knowing what to do with time and money with these girls. Good thing is I speak Spanish and do salsa dancing. For sure I will go for ST and see if she looks normal then we go from there.. What is the ratio between white /light skin to dark /tan skin ladies in sosua? Thanks again and I will put my experience when I get back.

Take care[/QUOTE]Passions is a little up there in price, but the performance you get from the girls is great. I've beeen there 5 times myself I love it, sometime you don't feel like running around sosua looking for anything, this it's right there for you.

Is this a good time to travel to Sosua? Is the place dead because everyone stays home to be with their families? Looking to plan a trip there and not sure if this is one the dates you shouldn't plan a trip.

His analysis deals mostly with the South Coast (Puerto Plata and Sosua are on the North Coast) but if you read the forum a few years back for around this time people are saying the same thing: avoid the DR from Christmas until after New Year's unless you have previously arranged something with a chica before going. Most of the chicas are with family around this time so you would be left holding yourself :)

On the flip side, I would say the week before and the days leading up to Christmas should be primo as chicas will be out trying to get pesos for a very Merry Christmas for the bambinos (kidz). I've even gone during the first week of December and it was still an amazing time.

Costa Rica, Columbia, and now DR.

Guess I'm going to save my money, its a shame since I get that week off anyway.

Ever notice how every store clerk closely examines every large bill (500's, 1000s, and 2000s)? Ever wonder how counterfeit bills get into circulation if everyone is getting their money from banks and ATMs?

Use exchange places that have a storefront and address -- at least if there are any problems you can tell the police where you got the bills.

Also, when at the exchange bank, especially in Sosua COUNT THE MONEY before you leave. Exchange bank clerks make extra money through "innocent mistakes". You are especially vulnerable if you are tipsy and obviously having a good time.

Yes, but you will pay more because of rounding up. They are never going to round down.

Also most locals are innumerate. They have quick brains with numbers they have learned off by heart but cannot adjust or re-calculate.

A typical example I have encountered many times is a chica quoting 50 dollars (actually around 1850 pesos). I say "I don't have dollars because I am not American but I will give you 1500 pesos". "OK, papi". This is not a chica giving you a discount, this is a chica who couldn't convert currency if her life depended on it. Had I offered her 40 dollars (near enough 1500 pesos) she would have flatly refused.

I have exchanged money with these guys for over 5 years and never had a problem. The only time i was given counterfeit bills was at an All Enclusive in Juan Dolio. But i guess it would be safe than sorry to use a store so i don't totally disagree.
