Basic questions about my 2 night stay in Medellin
I have a trip after a few weeks. My flight will arrive at MDE at around 9 pm Wednesday and I am expected to be ready to go downtown at 11:30 pm or 12 am.
I know many prefer picking up girls near Parque Lleras but I am afraid if it is too late. Maybe I can try Parque Lleras on the next day?
What can be done quickly at 12 am for a short fun?*I heard that La Isla club is expensive.
Fase Dos and Luna Lunera are a better option? They are strip clubs and does not have its own rooms for a short play?
What about Gusto club? Is it packed with working girls? Or any other suggestions?
Airbnb / hotels (if I booked for two) mostly allow a girl as a guest when I pick up and take a girl to my room? And the girl's ID is strictly checked?
I expect clubs accept credit cards. But do girls accept COP only, not USD?
Thanks,
After 9 PM, el centro is dead, and you could be too. Joking. Kinda
All joking aside, the area around Botero gets increasingly sketchy after 8 PM and honestly, I wouldn't be wandering around at midnight, just a bad idea. No vendors are out, hardly any police, a handful of not usually the most attractive girls and a whole bunch of drug dealers, robbers, etc. I just wouldn't be out at midnight around there, but if you're an extreme risk taker, go for it and let us know how it is!!
As someone else noted, Lleras only *really* starts getting busy around 10 PM, is truly popping about 11:30 PM-Midnight, and if you already have an Airbnb near there, then I'd just stay in that area. Lleras and surrounding streets get FULL of girls by 2 AM when some of the bars / clubs start shutting down and if they haven't already had a client, and many haven't, then the window between 2-3 AM is usually an ideal time to grab a girl, negotiate a better price because she's about to take the taxi ride home with no client money in her purse, and have some fun. I've been out all night in Lleras area, no problems, lots of police around, lots of regular vendors / beer stands / etc. Are open, so you're much safer, but still keep your eyes open and don't get too drunk or high (if that's your thing), as it can easily lead you to some serious problems.
Enjoy and please report back!

It makes sense for some people
The time you spend going through an extra airport completely makes up for the time not spent in line at MDE, most likely taking you longer actually and certainly not cost effective. I looked into it myself but it makes no sense to me.
It may not make sense for you, but it does make sense for some people or my flights, there are no direct flights to Medellin so I always have to have a layover in one city. However, there are some flights that will fly directly to Bogota as the layover city and then from there fly to Medellin. So it is not an extra flights and it is not extra time. It just means that you will go to immigration in Bogota and not Medellin.
Thanks you all for your answers.
And thanks for your concern, MongerHunger.
By watching youtube about the atmosphere of Parque Lleras, I had misconception that Parque Lleras is a part of downtown.
I will stay near Parque Lleras and will be around that area at night.
In terms of girl-friendly accommodation, unfortunately, I already see some Airbnbs indicate zero tolerance for sex tourists, haha. Something that I haven't seen in other cities.
Midnight is the start of the night in Latino time so you'll be fine. Gusto doesn't even really start filling up until like 11 pm. So you are pretty much hitting the sweet spot if you are trying to hit up Lleras around midnight.

The strip clubs are survivable at that hour, assuming you arrive and leave by ride share app. In a pinch you can get the doormen to get you taxis but that can be risky.

Parque LLeras is just getting ramped up at 11:00 pm, not dangerous at all late at night, just don't be a drunken idiot and take a taxi, Uber or Indrive when you leave. When you say "downtown" I hope you don't mean El Centro because that is not a place for most people after dark.
