You might get a short-term victory (in your eyes) but I would be watching out for the longer-term consequences. Your "win" over your bank manager will require him to regain face especially if you made him or her look bad in the eyes of his / her staff.

It is generally NOT in your long-term interest anywhere in Asia to yell or thump tables or verbally insult anyone. You can be firm and assertive and negotiate in a direct manner but raising the voice will ultimately work against you.

I wonder has anyone ever told them to fuck off, can they really keep you locked up indefinitely? Regardless, doesn't bear thinking about. i'll be as constructive as i can, starting with two of my cardinal rules for conduct in the mongering world and for life in general:

1. never, [i][b]ever[/b][/i], blame it on the alcohol.

2. a wh*re is a wh*re is a wh*re, no matter how you look at it. (as in the cliche '[i]you can always take the girl out of the bar, but you can never take the bar out of the girl[/i]'.

so, to answer your question as to what i would have done if i were in your shoes that night:

first, my reasoning: notwithstanding that i likely would not have made the mistake of not discussing the terms of lt with her prior to negotiating and agreeing on the rate of php 2000 (such as multiple pops, she stays until after breakfast, etc.) , the fact that you took her to dinner, then back to your room for a bj, then to lac again, then back to your room, probably meant that you went past the (generally understood) 2 hr time frame for st, ie. time-wise, you went lt. however, her time would be perhaps more than adequately compensated by the fact that you bought her dinner and drinks. therefore, i would have:

attempted to explain (briefly) the above reasoning to her, then offered php1000 for st + php100 for her cabfare home. if she refuses to leave, i would have then called security to have her and her bag removed from the room. i would've just said: 'i have a guest who refuses to leave. could you please come and assist'. you are a paying guest of the hotel. the job of the hotel security is exactly that, security of the premises and [b]your[/b] security. i doubt that this would have not worked, regardless of how 'cosy' she is with the security guard.

by the way, here's a similar story for you: (background: i'm asian, expat in vietnam for 3 years) once i picked up an fl from a well known watering hole in ho chi minh city and took her to a no-tell mini-hotel of my choice (there are hundreds of these in this city, like victoria court or sogo in the phils). we agreed on lt for a certain rate, she was to stay 'till morning'. after the first pop, she showered and changed to leave! i then proceeded to give her half the agreed rate, nicely at first, soft words explaining my reasoning. she refused, blocking the door physically with her body. calmly, i got dressed, put the half-lt rate on the bed, walked to the door, then physically removed her away from the door and let myself out. yes i had to man-handle her to get myself out of that situation. no i did not hit her. a vietnamese man would probably have, in that situation, just as a pinoy client in your case would probably have, in your situation.

bottomline: she knew you were a newbie and took all the advantage she thought she could get away with, and did. chalk it down as a lesson learnt, for php 1000. not too bad for tuition. i've paid much more.

She was friendly with the security guard but I knew what she said about knowing the security guard was BS. Of course I was a paying customer so that means I have the upper hand there But I don't think he would have dealt with the matter with great efficiency as he seemed quite passive and on good terms with the girl. I was more concerned about what would happen after she was kicked out. Probably nothing but there's still that lingering doubt. Cheers.

Some mistakes. But I figure its like gambling. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. So its risky but I try to interview and get a sense of the girl before I do anything with them. I usually now don't take a girl the first time I meet her. And then call her again. And then see if I might be interested and if I feel there is a good rapport.

I try to avoid situations but sometimes I am too nice and I get taken. So I look at it like a gambling loss.
