Not many flights straight from Bangkok to the airport really really close to Angeles. The airport is Clark, sometimes they say Manila, but with (Clark) in parentheses. It would probably be Cebu Pacific, but I believe flight times are pretty horrid like real late night arriving or returning. You are probably better off saving your time and flying into Manila, with airport code MNL. I would wait and buy the tickets in Thailand though as it should be cheaper than you buying online. Then you have to decide on transport to Angeles. Most newbies get a private car to pick them up. You can find more in this thread about transport, but it will run about 2500 pesos. Most hotels have a service. You'll have more flight options with Manila as the airport. As someone said it may take a couple of hours drive or more. On a good day it's 1 and a half.
Report from my last day in Heaven= Angels (Angeles)
Walked out at noon from my hotel and notice something strange, I had to shade my eyes from the Sun? Haven't seen the sun since I got here several days ago, only rain and more rain and clouds.

I just remembered several days ago I went to one of my usual bar hopping places called The Body Shop on fields (or actually slightly off fields). I was assuming you are going to stay in Thailand for awhile. I'd get quotes from travel agents there wherever you are staying. They'll be a ton of them around if you are in the tourist area. I wouldn't really try to shop at the airport, but I'd be interested to hear if they discount their fares. If you are going to fly to Manila, you have other options like PAL, Thai Airways and maybe another airline or two. The price is better the farther out the date is, but buying a couple days beforehand is possible most of the time.

Nothing has changed really, forbidden city is finished and open. The sub delicious at the corner of raymond street, has closed. A new joint is being buit there. Wonder why SD closed, it was 24/7 and it was quite a busy place.

Frankly the room sucked, it's a bit worn out, and the view was on a wall, at the back. So the room was very dark, the wall facing my room was probably one of the condos which are next to WO.
WO is certainly not good value for money; I don't recommend it at all.
The only nice thing there, is the pool side, but then again, the pool sides at ABC & LG are quite nice too.

Manila in general have much more cuties but all that cums with a much higher price tag. We love AC for several reasons but the main one is the price= cheap.

I commend you for returning to the bar to complain. If all guys did this, yes, it will reduce the bad attitudes.
But realistically, for every one of you, there are hundreds of guys who just let it slide. As such, what you did has no impact on the overall performance on Fields.
We got to be practical here. This is one reason why I disagree with all this hysteria about overtipping.
If the girl thinks she'll get a nice tip at the end (P1000), it will reduce the chances of her being a runner. I will tell her that if she does well, I'll give that amount. If not, she gets zero and I return to the bar to complain. Say it nicely, of course, during the negotiations in the bar. It all then boils down to a cold calculation in economics for her, which is the ultimate incentive.
Some of you will disagree, that the best way is to use force or threats. Fine. But even if she acquieses, her performance will likely be lousy. I'm someone who prefers to pay more for better service.
I know some of you will be aghast at me suggesting to tip so highly. But we just got to be practical. For me, P1000 ($20) is nothing for an entire night of company. For that small amount, it saves me from having the headache of dealing with a runner or someone with bad attitude. I just suck it up as a cost of mongering.
