If you pay a 1000 Piso tip and no-one else does, then you will generally sometimes maybe get a better service than anyone else.

If however, others decide to do the same, then your 1000 Piso tip becomes the norm and you get no advantage whatever and you have to make it 2000 Piso...and so it goes.

You actually win in the prisoner's dilemma if you double cross - but the other person does not join in. Ie you get to continue the advantages (if any) of that size tip, but others do not because they do not tip.

The best strategy in that game is not to let on what you are doing. (Quite apart from any flames you might get - who cares about that fercrissake - if others start doing it, you have to up the tip until it does start to hurt the players in the game).

Personally, I dunno that paying that amount actually does ensure better service. I tip very very little relative to that, but have only had one or two runners in many many years of going to PI and Thailand. And I am fat balding and over fifty, and like 'interesting stuff'. ;)

Everybody has their own method to ensure that they get what they want. Some tip big to ensure good service because they think it will incentivize the encounter. Some are just smooth talkers and lie to get what they want. Some are very handsome and don't need to tip at all. Some have no game with women and need to tip big. Whatever the case is, everybody is different and has different tools they use to get what they want.

There is no stopping men from tipping big in AC now. Tipping is very trendy now and I don't see it going away anytime soon.

Let's say everybody tips big for good service. Will she then not perform? Of course not. Instead, it sets an expectations on Fields that giving good service means big tips. That's a win-win for everybody.

Let's say you're a professional lawn mower and you sell your services in a rich neighborhood where big tips are the norm. Will you then slack off because all the employers tip well? Or will you still do a good job to get the big tip?

These girls do NOT have the least bit of business sense. If they did you would not hear about so many guys being turned down. With excuses such as having mens. Or fake cherry girls. If money was truly their ONLY and main motivation. Sure they want to make money. But its obvious by so many making excuses. They are not as money hungry as you perceive them to be.

These girls think on an emotional level. Period. Most are more interested in seeking a guy to marry to take them away. More than even money. 90% of everything they do is based on feelings and emotions.

I never never give a big tip. Mine avg around 300 pesos. And thats for LT. 100 for ST and some times not that. And I have never had a runner. Bad performer. Yes. But runner. Nope.

I am planning on staying for 2-3 months and I am looking for (a) something a little away from the mongering madness and (b) reasonably priced, hopefully less than 20,000 a month.

Although I know what you are saying, but my usual MO is to BF the gal, take back to hotel to sample the goods just bought with my money and one round in bed usually will tell me what she will be like anyway (from experience) and since I'm not a youngster anymore and after 1 round it will take me awhile to recover anyway for Round 2 so that's when we go out, but this time she showed her true colors and glad she did so early. Hate to have gone thru all the barhopping and spending all that extra money and time on her just to have her run on me later. Just my take on the matter.

Well, that's the main reason I put up my post for complaining about runners or bad behavoirs to mama or even to the bar owner if he is around.
If more of us become pro active and do the right thing maybe we can start to reduce the chances of runners as I notice in all this time the trend is the runner rates are climbing upwards and not the other way around. So if nothing is done at this rate how many more years before the runner become the norm instead of the exception?--IMO

Money is certainly the primary motive. Only the most naive bargirl would think tourists are visiting Angeles City to seek a wife.

Fact is, the reason so many guys complain about overtipping is because it actually works. If money doesn't monopolize a girl's attention, then people here wouldn't be constantly complaining about rich Korean guys. These guys clearly get the creme of the crop on Fields even though Korean men aren't known to be marrying Filipinas in droves.

If a girl makes excuses about being on mens or a cherry, it's likely she's telling the truth. Although it's mostly about money, the girls do strike me as generally being upfront about what to expect in the sack. How many guys here thought the girl was lying about her mens only to see a pool of blood the next morning on the sheets? And cherry girls? There's a "V" on her tag for everyone to see.

I'm not saying being nice won't improve service. It clearly does. That's why I do both: offer niceness and a cash reward. Clearly, you'd agree that "nice + money" is a better motivator than just "nice".

Well said. I'm like you also. They should feel lucky to be able to get fucked decently, sleep in a nice bed, be fed decent food, and have fun. Why pay them extra on top of that. That of course is the old AC attitude and now it's commercialized with big spenders splashing cash. I'm still old school, though.

I think there is a major fallacy here. First, there are plenty of reports on these pages which say that performance is hardly related at all to how much one pays.

In fact, the more some girls get, the more likely you get a 'starfish' amongst them. It is just the experience of mongering world wide, not just here, that money paid and service obtained are only loosely connected.

So, many guys don't complain about overtipping because it works - that would be daft. If it DID work, we'd all do it. Most guys complain about overtipping because it DOESN'T work all that well. However, it does raise price expectations.

Having said that, it is your money, tip a thousand North American $piso if you like. If it makes you happy, that's what counts.

Personally I am quite happy getting very very good service for not much more than your tip.
