You mention markets and massage etc, but if you want to carry the party on until the wee hours, you could try some of the 'after hour' bars. You usually see the touts outside of Nana trying to take you in their taxis. I was at first sceptical however, being in a group of 4 guys, we decided to give it a whirl. They only charged about 50bht for the taxi (which would only cost base rate 35 really) and we encountered none of the expected problems with following touts. We were taken to a couple of smallish bar/clubs with quite loud music but plenty of freelancers as well as freebies. They advertised as being open until 6am from what I remember but this was earlier this year. expect an entrance fee which includes 1-2 free drinks and drinks after that at approx 130-150bht.

I used to sit on Sukhumvit at one of those tables on the pavement where they serve beer and food. Thousands of girls who have finished work and are out for a girl, so you don't have to worry about going home alone. Nah... rarely watch TV. No music, overdose on music due to other work I have, and Internet I'm on all the time.

Seriously, disco or all night clubs or such. health reasons. Foodland on soi 5 is open all day and night, as is the Villa Market at soi 11. Possibly the Golden Arches soi 19 and Mr. Sub near NEP intersection as well.
