Thanks also to those who answered my query about the Conrad. I appreciate the advice. As I said in my original post I can stay there free using HH points so cost is not an issue. I'm actually going there to check it out for a later possible visit with family when mongering will not be on the agenda. So my only real question is whether it is GF to determine if I might have some company when I'm there on my own. If it is GF that would be good but if it's not, it's no big deal.

are you sure he wont let you do all the work, make the connections, spend the money and take the risk, and then "divorce" you once the business model is up and running? i mean, one might wonder if that isn't more or less how he got his hotel. and bear in mind that "divorce" in your case could very possibly mean turning you into the police himself!

plus, that's the authorities - what about the local mafia, who's toes you'd be stepping on?

just a few thoughts. are you still thinking of doing this? honestly, it sounds good on paper but i'm not sure it's a realistic idea.

I am now living in Bali and am trying to find the good places in Sanur. A few days ago I was trying to find 66X, which you mentioned a few months back, but going around the small lanes in Sanur and trying to find it where it is marked on the map posted here a while ago, I gave up after a while and went home again. Do you know if it still exists and can you give me a hint on how best to find it?

And could you reveal where you found that young Sanur girl please?

66x is midway along the Paso on the left hand side heading toward the beach,down a long drive. The drive is between a shop on the left and 3 shops on the right, one is Bali Deli.

66X is in the small lane next to circle K off jl Danau Poso. That girl was from 3b and they have a few good girls. I go and look at 3b and get a guy from the x house to pick her up. I go to 889x in the lane near the big temple. The lane is opp near circle k.

Tried 3b, but no nice ones there, but it was about 4 pm, so perhaps too early for there. And they were calling prices well above 150 k, so I gave up and went to DY instead. When one of the girls I had met there a few months ago was not in, they fetched another. Not a 10, but cute. Slimm, a bit like the one in the picture you posted a few days ago.

And more importantly, she was really nice. If you are into GFS, see if you like her. I was just wondering, if any one can advise me on any good Language Tools, or programs, or books, on learning how to talk Indonesian Bahasa? I really want to learn it, but apart from going to a school or Tafe college, is there some way of buying some good Computer program, I can study at home, at my leisure? I have heard of Rosetta Stone, and one called Pimulsar, or something like that.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The Bali Advertiser is full of options about schools and often has pre owned computer courses etc. It a complimentary magazine and comes out every fortnight on a Thursday.

I'll be in Bali this November/December, and I was wondering what the best place to stay is for both nice beaches and hobbying.

I have been leaning toward Sanur, but if anyone has a strong opinion as to someplace better, I am certainly open to suggestion.

Any info on the guest friendliness of these mid-priced Sanur hotels:

The Mercure Sanur, The Parigata Resort, Tamukami Hotel, Mentari Sanur Hotel.

Any info on these places will be appreciated. Would Kuta or Seminyak be better choices than Sanur for staying in Bali? I am not looking nor expecting to score with partying tourists for freebies, I would expect to be paying the going rates for local companinionship.

Also, I will be staying in Lombok as well, and I can get a freebie deal with a very reasonable amount of Starpoints at the Sheraton Senggigi Beach. Is there any hobbying related reason I should NOT stay there on a good Starwood points deal?
