I think that's a perfect way of saying it. I have a daily "entertainment expense' account. I just get to decide how I want to be entertained. All the company wants is a receipt to validate that the charges were mine. They don't ask how I entertained myself and I don't tell them. Simple as that and end of story.

Second, this is the first I've heard of a place in Manila doing karaoke where it's all in the open bar area where everyone can hear and not in private hosted rooms. Granted I haven't been there in 7 years, but when I was there for 2 months in 2004 I couldn't find a place like this. Is the Red Garter the only place like this in Manila? Or are there other bars around that do this, especially in the Makati area? I'm a bit of a karaoke nut, but I don't want to sit in a room and sing to myself.

[/QUOTE]There are a lot of Japanese and Korean KTVs with this type of setup all over the city. I know there is one upstairs next to the Wendy's on Makati Ave but forgot the name of it. You shouldn't have a problem finding one.

On two separaate occasions during my last trip, I had non performers. Both wanted to leave early without a single pop. One in AC, one in Cebu.

I put the fear of god into each one, and took her back to her bar for a refund.

Both bars refunded without quibbling.

The key to success in my opinion is to get the girl so afraid of the consequences that she asks the bar to refund.

I do not want my girls intimidated or scared. Talk about a mood killer. I want them happy and in a good mood; ready to have a good time in bed with me. But:

1. If they want to leave early after one session; I say good riddance and give them 75% of the LT rate. I mean, first I try to sweet talk them out of it, but if they insist on leaving, then sayonara. No tip for you.

2. I have never had a girl refuse to shag me after I take her out of the bar – a real non performer. If I encountered that, I would immediately take her back to the bar and ask for a refund. No discussion. I won't deal with a total non performer. FCK her for wasting my time!

The key to my success is to interview (screen) the girls well before I take them home. It is an audition and they must either pass it or I pass on them. I know this is not foolproof, what is? But I rarely have runners or starfish. Who knows, maybe I am just lucky (I kind of doubt it).

I suspect towards end of September or mid-October the weather will start to turn bad again. Right now is hot and dry. You can never really predict this years' weather due to el nino patterns.

As far as availablility, avoid holidays, especially December. Most girls like to go back to home province in those times to celebrate. Other than that it's up to luck.

2. Are you on your mens (period)?

I agree with Natty the bar girl just don't make little money from barfine all the greety bar owner is getting rich from the girl, I hope AC do it like Manila just 500 peso barfine and we tip the girl for ST or LT, I just go to disco now for freelance pick up most girl is happy with 1000 peso in the morning and I will take them out for lunch or breakfast, I only have problem with runner just the last 3 yr it is getting worst and need to tell the girl I will tip them in the morning for them to stay.

It does not matter what they agree to before. Sometimes things click and they want to make you very happy. Other times they will try any which way to make you unhappy. It is hard to say.

I called the bluff on one girl who said she was on mens and had to give a big tip to the maid to clean up. However it was all night fun and she was horny. I walk to work in Manila but from last week on, I take my golf umbrella because the downpours are torrential and my little umbrella cannot handle it. Most of the rest of the day is fine unless a Typhoon comes thru. Philippines averages about 25 Typhoons per year (June-Oct) of which about 5 hit Manila. Last year I went to Manila airport for an early morning flight after a typhoon and there were no planes on the tarmac. After about an hour they all starting landing as they had spent the night in other places around Philippines not affected by the Typhoon. My flight was only delayed 2. 5 hours. I have also been caught a couple of times out in the islands of Philippines when a typhoon has come thru and the boats back do not run for a few days.

If you are a scuba diver, the season is Nov-May. The rest of the year is divable but currents are stronger and visibility is lower. If you are a golfer, then get a mid-morning tee time so you are back before the 4pm rains.

Since Mongering is an inside activity, the only thing you need to worry about is getting wet between bars when bar hopping.

The most common and preferred KTVs in Phil are the open area KTVs, so you can sign, serenade your loved one. And flirt girls. Which don't work in Private rooms.

And a twist of it in SIngapore, the open KTVs, are 90% Filipino. And the hookers, though they are, like to be 'courted' and the KTVs are the place to do it.

The Philly bars. 9 out of 10, are licensed as KTVs, though the singing stops late in the evening.

Some fun. When you see a drunk guy singing a tagalog some to his country-girl, when she is sitting with a non-Filipino, and often beer mugs go flying when the BF of the filipina figures out that the song was an invitation song from the Filipino guy.
