Bodi construction / remodel?
Went to Bodi the other night. What a mess. Very rushed service by the support staff. Elevators are out of service. Was not allowed to hang out for drinks or food. I hope they get their act together soon.
Feng Ding Yuan (Xin Hao Yuan / aka Fakes Market spa) closed?
Went by Feng Ding Yuan (the one next to the Fakes Market) tonight but it was closed. Strange. All the girls were outside (dressed in normal clothes) , and the attendants upstairs told me that they were 'remodeling' and would be re-opening soon. I wonder if something happened today? Maybe something happened right before I got there, which would explain the girls just hanging around outside.
It is this time of the Year

Things will soon be back to normal, after the holidays.

First-time report for Shanghai
Though I have submitted many reports all over the globe, this is my first one for Shanghai.
I don't have a lot of spare time. I don't have much patience for waiting for infrequent taxis. I just want a little quick fun without making a big thing of it. While sometimes FS can be a lot of fun, it also involves a bigger investment of time and funds than a massage with HJ. I also don't have a lot of time to search the forum to find places that are near where I stayed, the Doubletree Pudong, and how to get there.
With that in mind, I thought. What will I find on the nearest side street, Lancun? After all, it goes to the subway stop, and if there is any place in a residential neighborhood to find anything, that would be it. The answer was: at least two massage parlors, and two bars that look like they are for mongering. The challenge today was that the thunderstorm left water a half a foot deep. Crossing the big street involved wading, barefoot, across, because I imagined that immersing my sneakers would render them damp and moldy by the end of the trip: the air is so humid I cannot expect them to dry. So I did like the locals did: took shoes and socks off and waded.
I simply went into the first massage parlor I found. An oil massage was quoted as 128 RMB (but somehow when I came out, it was 132 RMB). I was asked whether I wanted a man or a lady; it would not surprise me if at least an HJ is available from either, but I won't be finding out.
The place is clean and relatively nice. I was led to a small room that had a shower, and given a pair of paper shorts to wear. They were small for me, and readily tore out the crotch. I thought, these aren't going to provide much modesty.
My masseuse was thin. In the dark, I mostly was aware that she was nice and giggley, young. She asked if I wanted a hard massage and I said yes. She isn't strong, not like the Thai masseuse I found in HK (who did not provide any services) , but it was relaxing. She spent a bit over a half hour on my neck, shoulders, back, butt, legs, feet, then asked me to flip. During the massage, her legs were quite close to my hand, so I gave them an exploratory fondle, which was received with a giggle. Good sign of what will come, I thought.
Indeed, on the flip, the focus was mostly on tickling and teasing, followed by an oily HJ (she asked if I wanted oil). It wasn't the best or most skilled HJ I have had, but it did the trick. She allowed some touching under bras, but not much inside her panties. She didn't take anything off to make it easier. Aside from asking me not to touch her privates, she also did not discourage me much. There was also some cuddling. She got on top and lay on me, her head on my chest. Gave me a few light kisses on the lips. After finishing me, more of the cuddling etc, then she massaged my head, which was very relaxing.
Oh, and those paper shorts. They were obviously just a formality, though she did not completely remove them while she worked. They were not much in the way, either. Maybe they are there in case police come in. They didn't do anything useful.
She left and invited me to take a shower. The room has a shower, so I was able to wash the oil off. I went downstairs and paid. She was there waiting. She did not ask for a tip; I did not give one; she did not seem disappointed as she gave me a card with her number (30) on it. She was not a great-looking lady in the face, but she provided a pleasant experience that I needed.
Around Lacoun St
There's another massage place right next door. There are also two bars, one called Red Lips And the other Happy Bar. As I walked by, a pretty young thing in a form-fitting dress greeted me, obviously wanting me to come in. With the names and the greeting, I have little doubt that something is available in there, perhaps as take-out. I may or may not check that out tonight.
The street water had subsided as I returned to my hotel, to my relief. The traffic had not, but eventually there is a walk light and most (not all) cars actually do stop.
I suspect that if I could find relief so easily that it must be available all over Shanghai. I still don't know where to find the nearest BBS with service, or how to ask for service there (since I speak only a phrase or two of Chinese).
I'd welcome any info people have for the area around Doubletree Pudong.
Q: Tipping for HE at Massage places?
I had a massage with HE at a massage place near my hotel in Pudong. They told me it was 132 for basic oil massage, and I paid that.
The masseuse never asked for any more, like a tip, and she did not seem disappointed when I left. Was I supposed to tip her? If so, how much?
There was a place directly attached to the Doubletree that was a full service sauna. It was called Dream Spa. If you are standing outside the Doubletree facing the front doors, it was around the side of the building to right. I think it was 780RMB for an hour of full service.
FB's correct. There was also an option for approx. RMB1300 which takes you to a private room (with shower, bath, fuck chair, bed) , no public shower / locker room drill necessary. When standing at the desk, motion that you want to go right (left is the standard locker room drill).
