I have been over to some of the best mongering spots in the world. I like Tijuana best for its proximity, convenience and safety of the bar block, good selection of hot young girls year round, warm, dry weather, and relatively low costs.

Decided to visit Tijuana again last Friday to see how things were shaking out the weekend after NYE. My wingman and I did a quick 4 hour turn and burn, and the following are the juicy details:

Transportation:

Car ride, parking at Pepe's, SENTRI lanes on the way back.

Bars visited:

2000- Hong Kong, Range (6-9).

The guy / girl ratio was greatly improved from NYE weekend, but at 8 PM there weren't too many new faces from what I had seen last weekend. Made a couple of scouting trips around the club, and didn't see anyone who immediately caught my fancy. There was an incredibly hot chica lying on a push table accepting tips in a fishbowl and surrounded by jello shots and rose petals. I believe her name was Johanna (Yoanna? But she only got off the table just as I was leaving.

After a drink or so, we left to get some coctel de camarones on the corner (absolutely delish) and to see the other venues.

2030 Las Chavelas, Range (3-6).

I expressed my interest to see some of the other venues in the area, and since Chavelas is next door it was an easy first choice. Chavelas seems more tailored specifically to the local crowd, as the clientele was mostly Mexican and the ladies were a bit on the thick side. There weren't any lookers in the crowd that I saw, and the bar itself is pretty basic, just a long rectangle to the back with places to sit and mingle. We did a quick walk around and took our leave.

2035 Adelitas, Range (5-8).

Adelitas is the next club on the same side of the street as HK and Chavelas. The club has more of a dancing / mingling vibe than Chavelas, but much less so than HK. There were more customers and girls, who on the whole were a step up from Chavelas as well. We still only stayed long enough to do a quick walkaround and survey the surroundings. I'the still say the looks were on the average side, but there were a handful of girls that I wouldn't have minded shaking my stick at.

2050 Chicago, Range (5-8).

Chicago is on the end of the street, perpendicular to the main Coahuila action. The bar has been remodeled (so I've been told) and it extends pretty far back now. There's a mainstage area right in the front, and then a secondary stage with plenty of tables and space for mingling all around. The girls were about in the same range as Adelitas, but I did find my first lady of the night here. One thing I disliked was the incredible volume of the music, almost impossible to have a conversation with anyone next to you.

Scarlett:

I'd say look at it if you're VIP definitely for Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday it's 145 or something which makes it rather pricey even with VIP which drops it a bit but I think it's worth t at least once.
