50.6 % of population fully vaccinated, 99.4% of new cases are delta variant.

New cases total in the last two weeks: 28371.

Breakthrough infections in the last two weeks: 247.

Why are breakthrough infections only 0.87 % out of total infections?

Agree that it's the time to let it burn, people had a chance to be vaccinated so who didn't do it by now made their own choice.

Numbers in Germany are similar to Switzerland. Since 1 February there are 10827 breakthrough infections out of 1584659 infections, so 0.68 %. I wonder why.

Dogs and cats and pigs and birds in the USA need a vaccine ASAP.

It is really weird that in my county of 650 k people, 100% of the dead from covid in August died from a so called breakthrough delta variant. While in Switzerland, only 0. 34% are infected by a breakthrough variant now. About as weird as the election in Zimbabwe ten years ago.

So far it is proven that they give good to decent protection for at least 9 months. Even against delta variant they are good enough. That you tested negative so far means exactly nothing in the context of the pandemic. You are a case study of 1 in the world population of 7. 9 billion. Do you understand numbers?

Since you like facts, I have shown the numbers from Switzerland and Germany, Switzerland from Bundesamt füare Gesundheit and Germany from the Robert Koch Institute. Is Germany a big enough country? Do you have sources for breakthrough infections (at least 14 days after the second dose) for other countries? Or you just read a headline somewhere, maybe on facebook?

If you like facts, check again the population size of Switzerland and write back that you were wrong.
