OASE. From FRANKFURT HBF (central station) take S 6 in direction FRIEDRICHSDORF. Here you get a taxi which drives you to the club (fare around 12 Euro, by the way, don't be astonished the driver following you to the reception desk, as he gets a 10 Euro in cash from the club bringing a customer).

SHARKS. From FRANKFURT HBF take the train (S-Bahn, regional trains) to DARMSTADT HBF. Taxi to the club about 10 Euro (same procedure as in Oase).

PALACE. FRANKFURT downtown. From HAUPTWACHE (city centre) you can take U6 and U7 to stop INDUSTRIEHOF (10 minutes) - when 200 metres walking distance.

The other locations I never visited and therefore I am not able to give you good advice. But I am also a regular user of public transport and therefore at least I can say, that GT and Acapulco aren't easy to reach this way.

I could use a little help locating hotels in the NRW for my upcoming FKK tour during the second week in August. I could search the thread all day and not come up with some good selections, many of them potentially outdated, so I ask your help.

I am flying into DUS on Sat, Aug 9th and going to visit Samya for the party atmosphere, then go up to Goldentime on Sunday, possibly visiting Club Angelique or Living Room on Sunday night. I am think of driving out to Oase on Monday or Tuesday, depending on weather, then coming back to the NRW area for FKK Babylon and Bernds, or PC Bochum, possibly some others in the NRW area.

I should probably stay a short distance from Samya on Sat night (actually Sun morning), since I will have just arrived with tail potentially dragging. After that, maybe stay around Krefeld or Kaarst? I'll probably stay at the Hotel Mercure in Freidricksdorf during one night after Oase.

I've stayed at Hotel Jontule in Hennef before and found that to be satisfactory. A clean hotel with reasonable cost is what I am seeking.

Also, since I will be driving (done it in Germany before), a hotel with available parking would be best. I do not need to stay in a downtown location.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try [URL]hrs.com[/URL] for the best choice :) I often use Wyndham at Mettmann provided the price is cheap enough, as it has excellent parking and is very near the autobahn and has 24 hour reception. Next time I am trying Sporthotel Tespo in Kaarst, which looks ok, but I will see. There are loads of hotels to choose from, but I personally avoid ones very near the airport (including Ratingen) as they tend to have limited or charged parking :( or be overpriced :mad:

I stopped booking hotels or even looking for them ahead of time, when I am on an FKK tour (which clearly sounds like you are on). Once I pick an FKK where I am finishing my evening, around 6 PM I ask the front manager about a hotel. I have had good luck finding hotels this way for around 50 Euro including breakfast. The hotels are generally small and in small towns close to FKK so parking is not an issue. GT evens sends a taxi to bring the key for 10 euro, if you are staying past 10 or 11 PM. Which is when the reception at most small hotels close.

Kayak has a great interface, including a map-based one. Hotelscombined sometimes refers to sites with excellent rates. Both consolidate several search engines.

Monday GT or Mondial (I am not sure GT deserves a visit and I want to remind they have a strict door policy so if you are indian wear some suites or betterly drop it from the list.).

This sounds like a good plan, but I am a little concern about hotel room availability in August. Is that often a problem? Also, are the hotels now shunning US credit cards due to their inferior security and incompatibility with Euro credit cards?

I don't need a luxurious hotel room, but one with a half decent bed and AC would be nice. I don't spend much time in a hotel room during an FKK self-guided tour anyway. One night I drove directly from Oase at closing time to my FRA flight, no hotel needed.

Last time I was in NRW, I had a couple of hotels on my list but made no reservations. Having no reservations wasn't much of a problem, but it was the middle of February. I do remember that some places were pretty stingy on heat and I laid shivering under insufficient cover, but the opposite may be the problem in August. One place recommended 'near' Elsdorf turned out to be a long tiring drive after the club closed.

I also want to check in early Saturday afternoon near Samya and try to get some time adjustment sleep before hitting the club for a party-type night. I've been to Samya once before and know it isn't the type of place to find a quiet place for a nap, especially on a Sat night. And I am not paying 75 E for a zimmer and a girl to watch me sleep!

Good to know about the key option at GT. That might come in handy on Sunday.

I haven't yet upgraded to the fancier chip card yet (one of my banks offers this option for frequent travelers but I have yet to avail myself of this feature).

1. Call your banks and credit unions and tell them the dates you will be in Germany. They will note this in your file. If you don't do this, there's a chance that one or more of them might think somebody has got your card or identity and block the card. Some companies will put a travel note in your file and some won't care, but, it's good to make the effort. Some cards even waive the 1% international transaction fee. It's good to check that out as well. Make sure you know the daily limits on withdrawals and ask the limit to be increased if necessary.

2. In case your cards get lost or stolen, make sure you have the non-800# written down. All companies will take a collect call to report a lost or stolen card.

3. Make sure your ATM and debit card PINs are only four digits. Virtually all machines in Europe can't handle more than four digits.

4. When you make a withdrawal, some banks give you the option of taking the withdrawal in Euros of immediately in dollars. You still get Euros out of the machine. It's a matter of whether you want the immediate exchange rate or one later on when the transaction is posted. NEVER take the "dollars" rate. They generally are rip-offs. The best exchange rates out there are from your debit cards if you take the withdrawal in Euros.

Get lots of sleep and don't drink at all or very little. You will need every ounce of stamina you can muster!

What happens and how?

I imaginne it being a big place with plenty of naked girls about. I am hoping its not naked men sitting around but in their clothes or robes.

I assume you pay a entrance fee, what does it cost, do you stay in for the day have sex with as many as you can. Everytime you have sex with a girl I hope its in private not into sharing!! And what would they charge.

What does drinks cost and do the girls get pushy for drinks!(hate It).

How does it compare to a parlour or estark in costa. I assume its a different experience.

What happens in FKKs is mostly that you go and try to have fun with the ladies, however, it can be hard at times, since you're disturbed all time time by newbie mongers who come naked (sometimes also in clothes or robes) asking the most basic and silly questions that could simply be answered by reading certain f. Ing forums, their reports and particularly the FAQs and RODs! That leaves you wondering and frustrated and often you push the girls for ridiculously overpriced drinks (they hate it! Sad life, really.

One of the biggest things to remember as a first timer is do not think that everything needs to be perfect. So what if you make a mistake and overspend on a taxi ride or stay at a less than desirable hotel. What will happen more than likely is that you will become addicted to the FKK lifestyle and will return many more times. Thus learning from your mistakes and then providing information to the next round of newbies. Trust me, every man on this site who is giving advice also walked into a club for the very first time and has made plenty of mistakes. If you try to make it all perfect, this results in unnecessary anxiety and even sexual performance problems. Just go with the flow, take lots of notes, and enjoy yourself.
