I am coming to Cartagena on 12-29-2015 and leaving on 12-31-2015. Contacted Juan and he has apartment only available for 12-29-2015 and none for 12-30-2015. I have no choice than to look for some chica friendly hotels. Could any forum member please advice me about any such hotels or any other apartment.

So I'm writing this as my trip is coming to an end. Going to airport about 2 hours.
The first day (Thursday) I arrived around 3 pm. Went to the Hampton hotel where I stayed for one night, I have stayed there before, it is girl friendly and very reasonable in price, no charge to bring girls.
I had two girls come over that I met through Facebook and chatted with on whatsapp. They came up and we had some fun. Was ok, not what I expected and we really talked about, but was 300 pesos total for both 2 hours. Next day I moved to an apartment from Juan. Nice and big, pretty clean, close to dolce vita. Only real issue was the warm water sucked, and the place could use a good freshening. New paint. Furniture. Ect.
I had another girl come over that I met on tinder also, wanted 300 pesos for the afternoon. She came over, very sexy, huge rack, we had some fun, walked to beach to have a nice lunch. Went back to apartment for more fun, then she left. Was late afternoon by then, I cleaned up and went to centro. I don't know about you guys, but when traveling I like to go to a restaurant that looks busy, usually means good food. I don't know what time most people eat here, but 7 pm the restaurants were pretty empty. I ended up just grabbing a arepa since I had a huge lunch. Was feeling pretty tired so went back and relaxed in the pool.
Saturday I went to playa Hollywood. Tony found me, recognized me from June. I know there are mixed reports about him, he does know the girls, that's for damn sure. After this being my second experience with him I won't be using him again. Back in June he hooked me up with a cute girl. We go back to the room, start playing, and she has a tampon in! Tells me I still owe her same amount. I told her no way. We were together about 20 minutes (we agreed to 300, having fun many times, going out to dinner, more fun. Finish sound 8 pm. I gave her 100 and she left. After being pissed about that. I just relaxed in the room, girl from cafe del Mar. Texted me. She is amazingly hot, but wanted 500 usd! For 4 hours, 2 times. I to, the her she's crazy and I blocked the #.
Walked around, had dinner, went to casa Rocio, my first time there. Yes it's really cheap, but what a shithole. Sketchy area, dirty, tiny tiny rooms, was about 10 girls and they were cute. Had a girl and 2 beers for 150. Went to centro, was some huge festival going on, people spraying that foam shit everywhere, I left and went back to apartment, was about 9. Thought I'd make it to dolce vita but ended up passing out!
All in all Cartagena is a nice city, I don't feel there's much during the day except the beach, and since I live on the beach in the USA it's not that exciting.
Everyone is out to scam you, girls restaurants, people trying to sell stuff ect. It is a very cheap place for sure. This is my second time here, not totally sure I will be coming back again, maybe will try the dr next.

This is my second time here, not totally sure I will be coming back again, maybe will try the dr next.[/QUOTE]Haha, don't go to the Dominican looking to avoid scams and ripoffs and you'll be fine -- people will generally try and test you if they think you're a sucker, but smile, hold your ground, and become familiar with the pricing for things beforehand -- when in doubt, buy it at the supermarket (if possible) or exchange it at Western Union -- you won't get the absolute best prices / rates 100% of the time, but you'll fall respectably close to or at MSRP. Excellent report though; I didn't think to try Tinder in CTG, which sounds like it'd be a super good move to make; I have the feature that lets you change the location you're swiping in, so I might have to build a small repertoire of girls before I come through, just so I don't immediately have to go a-huntin as soon as I touch down in Cartagena.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the name of the place on the beach where you ate lunch, and were they good & reasonably priced?

About Trip Advisor, the ranking of restaurants in CTG is absurd, totally messed up, as you understand after having tried to eat in best restaurants there.
To name another example, according to TA the best restaurant in Cuzco, Peru would be a cafe which serves burgers and sandwiches. :eek:
I remember years ago, the no. 1 in Cuzco by TA was a pub, and the comment by an enthusiast Australian tourist was [I]"Here burgers have EXACTLY the same taste as in Melbourne!! Fantastic!!"[/I].
After meeting Colombian women in Panama on an earlier trip, I knew I had to visit their country. So I'm back from five days and four nights in Cartagena, and thoroughly enjoyed the city and its women! On trips like this, I start out with low expectations, but was happy to get mostly GFE encounters. I stayed in a nice boutique hotel; my room had a large circular bed an added bonus. The first night I headed to the Clock Tower Plaza, which was about a ten minute walk from my hotel. At 10:00 pm, the selection on the Plaza was large and varied what's the expression like shooting fish in a barrel? I poked my head in Tu Candela, but it was dead; the doorman said come back at midnight. I picked up one of the FLs in the Plaza, a pretty woman in her early thirties; her rate was 200 K pesos. She too was great and very satisfying. When I paid her, she showed me her wallet was empty. On my last night, I arranged for Ximena to return at 8:00 pm for an early session, then I took her out for dinner. Again, a very satisfying time, and she left after dinner. But this was Saturday night, and I wasn't finished. After resting up a bit, I headed back to the Plaza around midnight. I had a drink in Tu Candela, but the tourists outnumbered the FLs, and I didn't see anyone interesting. Anyway, the music was deafening, and not conducive to conversation. The Plaza was a different story; many FLs were still around and given the hour, they were getting aggressive it was now or never. I opt to eat at street stalls and less-frequented / heralded places sometimes, but I do so entirely aware of what I might potentially get myself into unprepared; TA in most places of the world is primarily utilized by Western travelers as opposed to locals, so it's natural the ratings and subsequent rankings would adopt that viewpoint.
As for your Tinder comment, have you had a negative story from there? I don't know a lot how about Tinder goes down outside of North America and some specks of Asia, so any cautionary tales would be more than welcome; even if I do end up going for it, I'll at least have a vague idea of what actions / suggestions to red flag.

So Tinder is the way to go? But I expect to pay at least 200 k for 1 -2 hours? How many time. Man I'm lost with Cartagena scene (I'm colombian).

I've been scanning the threads looking for some restaurant tips. Really looking for all types Fine dining to Fast food. Last time In Cartagena my stomach was still queasy from a previous week in Mexico so could not partake in food activities like I wanted to so this time I'm Planning my Eating activities. I read the old old threads and found some suggestions.
But some were no longer open. The ones I did find "Quebracho" and "Carbon de Palo" look solid but does anyone else have any suggestions?
As far as mongering here is what's in store. Made contact with this local with a plethera of girls he refers and there are some stunners in the pics he sent. Thought it was too good to be true but then saw photos of girls I actually met last time there so I asked him their names and he did know them. I will definitely call a few over during the afternoons and see how it goes. Will be going to Dolce Vita as well. Rented an apartment in Laguito and just looked on Google Maps and its practically right next to Dolce. Will try Clock Tower for the first time per "Black Pages" advice too. Not really into the casas as I prefer to live under the illusion that I am actually picking them up with my smooth operator skills and that they in fact "really like me" and of course that this is the first time they have ever done such a thing ha ha. Will get back with a more detailed reports this time that will hopefully live up to OP's standards.

I stayed at the hotel with a favorita, and we ate lunch there. They had a chicharonne banh mi sandwich appetizer which was spectacular. It is pricey, I think lunch for both of us plus a cocktail each was around 200 k COP.
Another fine dining option is La Perla, which is also in Centro. It is a Peruvian fusion restaurant, the pulpo (octopus) was delicious. Cocktails are good too, try to Piso Sour. I think dinner ran around 120 k COP for 2 people and a cocktail each.
In Bocagrande, La Fonde Antioquena has decent Colombian food, if you're into bandeja paisa and chicharonne. Not expensive, most dishes are under 20 k.
As for Laquito, I normally eat at Riquisimo; steak is decent, I think I had the fried fish last time, which was ok. I prefer the fried fish on the beach; one thing I always get when at the beach in Laguito is the ceviche / camarones from the cart. It's like 12 k COP for a doble.
If I'm ever in the mood for dessert, I usually have some ice cream at Crepes and Waffles in Bocagrande.

I avoid taking seafood from cart in the beach (risk to be overcharged, plus questionable hygiene).
Riquisimo has good meat but it's too much populated by gringos and WGs accompanying them or looking for them.
My choices:
For the best dinner: Santisimo. Good and elegant.
For late dinner: Juan del Mar. Always the same menu year after year, boring, but it closes at 12, so it's often my only choice if I go out at 10 pm. What's annoying is the music, too loud and trivial, it even impedes conversating. The owner is very famous in Colombia (soap operas?) So you see ladies lined up for a selfie with him. He plays his role well, so he keeps his smile on face at all times.
For steaks: Carbon de Palo in Bocagrande if I am late, Quebracho in Centro if I want the best steak.
For ceviches: avoid Bocagrande, go straight to kiosks outside the wall at the right of Reloy (facing it, Av. Venezuela).

Its on the second floor, I think a plate of rice & beans with a choice of meat runs 5-6 k COP.
Other places I liked in Centro were Salou (near Cafe del Mar) and Sibaris Wine Bar for tapas and wine (the paella looked good, but I think it's too big for 2 people).
After a week of recovering from my trip to Cartagena, I have had time to reflect on the eleven days spent in Colombia. I arrived on November 9th and checked into my Laquito apartment. I like to stay in Mirador del Laquito because of the location, the pool, and the apartment I rent has hot water and wifi.
I had a quick bite at Riquisimo and then headed to the small Exito store for the ATM located in the back of the store. It allows 600,000 per transaction and I usually did two transactions so that I did not need to venture to an ATM often. The apartment has a safe, so I could keep extra cash and other valuables safe. I picked up some water, beer, and ice so I would be OK for one night.
I decided to head to Rocio's hoping to find a quick release and praying I would find somebody like I found in March. I knew Catalina would not be there since there is so much turnover in these places, but was hoping to find a similar experience. I have kept track of Catalina (not her real name) on Facebook and sent her a message I was in Cartagena. She sent a message back quickly stating she would arrive later in the week. More of her later. Back to my visit to Rocio's, I found a young 19 year old from Monteria.
