I didn't know about skipping frisking, I assumed that was always mandatory (kind of more worrying if they don't frisk you if you pay 50-60 $ for a card that lasts three months). Was informed tonight by the valets in front of HK that from now on, you cannot drive your car into Pepe's Parking, get a parking ticket, then have it validated at the front of Hong Kong Club. Tipping is usually done to assure good services and to maintain good relationships with the service workers. So tip whatever you feel comfortable or don't tip at all to punish workers for failures to do their jobs properly.
