So, here's the script from getting your bag at Galeo airport:

Spent a wonderful hour at Bel yesterday with a hot loira. R$100 (1hr) , R$3 (metro to centro) , R$12 (4 Antratica beers) , R$50 (completa) , R$20 (cab to Copa) = total R$185 I swear the room at Bel was better than many Tier 1 Termas like MC. 4X4 and Luomo. Queen size bed with a clean sheet, AC rooms, music controler, with nicely decorated walls.

Went home, ordered Dominos pizza, took a quick nap, called Star Cris, and banged 19 why / old Mel. Star Cris was R$150 (2hrs) , R$16 (cab fare) , R$50 (completa) = total R$216. Went to Balcony at midnight, took cell numbers of two blonds, drank two drinks and went home to sleep with my both eyes closed. LOL. Today is Friday and I am ready for 4x4 run to bang my favourite, nice, hot, tall, Amazonian type garota name Viviane. I might stop by Balcony afterwards for a caprinha. Business class on American, coach on Tam but I have to say the Tam flight in coach was very good in service / food and sexy flight attendents. My next trip is on Tam simply because of price, much lower than American but it's ok because the service is real good.

1. Thule Crossover Computer Pack.

- 2. 5 pound lap top.

- 2 smart phones (one American, which is in airplane mode to be switched on for emergency back up; the other with Brazilian sim card)

- power cords.

- lightweight windshirt for the rain storm.

- favorite supplies for the terma.

2. Blackhawk tactical pack.

- extra clothes, like a dress shirt and pants (I can buy dress shoes, but last trip didn't use)

- toiletries (note what you don't need to carry on a flight and can buy at the drogeria across from barao do flamengo. Toothpaste, mouthwash, etc)

On my body: running shoes, nylon triathlon socks, camping underwear, REI cargo shorts, Nike DriFit shirt. All the clothes can be washed every night or two.

Over the trips over 4 years, I have just eliminated the stuff I don't need.

Barao do Flamengo had a room every night, except for one night. On that one night, I took metro to Estacio metro station and walked over to Malaga motel where per noite was 59R.

I bought my apt in US two years ago so I know maint charge can add up end of the year. However, I am planning to use it for my own stay and hire a local real estate agency to rent it during my absence. I can get enough money while I'm in town for my next vacation. They key is to find a good lawyer and an honest agency. I might be eligible for a resident visa too. I have asked plenty of people about the property prices in Brazil. They are going up fast due to economic growth and the Olympic 2016.

The one guy I have dealt with is telling me this has been a really hard year to keep his apartments rented. Dollar weak, gringos out of cash. Don't be the last buyer in a bubble.

The Thule Crossover Computer pack goes with me, and goes in the locker in the terma each day.

What was a hassle in the apartment was asking the staff to provide towels and clean sheets every 2 days, or taking the sheets to laundry myself if I had a girl coming over and didn't want the evidence of the past 3 girls.

With this method, I have clean sheets, towels (a blanket if you ask) , and a escort agency (no taxi) with a call from a phone in the room 10 minutes away. I also have a plate of french fries (batatta frita) for picking up a phone, as well as breakfast for picking up a phone, and of course AC, porn TV, brazilian radio, all with a push of a button from the bed.

Plus, in my mind, going into 4x4 is going into the jungle; you want to be lean and mean and on the hunt. If you can't fit your stuff into two small bags, you have packed too much trash. Think about it, every toiletry you could need is in the sauna room at 4x4 anyway, including razors, toothbrush, shaving cream, toothpaste, aftershave. Do you need half the stuff in your toiletry bag when you get on the plane?

When staying for months an apartment is more suitable IMO.

Brazilian Government divides income into 4 groups. A Class, B, C, D.

What is happening at a high end Terma like Luomo is A Class Brazilian Males (Brazilionaires) are buying D-class Brasileira bunda, and their A-Class. 30 or 40 something wife in a rich area like leblon or niteroi knows what is happening. Markets being affected by the marginal buyer, the American is bidding up bunda in top termas against A-class Brasileiros, and now Chinese.

All the GDPs are D-class. If they are not as attractive, they are at an agency like scortshow. That girl makes like 2000R a month. 120R per 2 hour session, and she gets maybe 20 or 25R. Fode, fode, fode.

Then there are termas. Girls I have talked to there. 50/50 have 1 kid, maybe live in Campo Grande, take a car with a driver and 3 other girls back home at 1 PM after the terma closes. So do the math. 220R for 1 hour. How much does she take? How many sessions a day, week, month? If a girl gets mentioned on gpguia. Net, it could be 3-5 a day. Most of these girls hate that. But, their violent, alcoholic mothers facilitate that lifestyle, and the kid is less than 5. What happens when the kid gets to 10 and career transition? Living in apartment with psycho mom in early 30s. Still, for a few years, it is good money for a D-class Brasileira.

Finally, freelancers. Hotside. Com. Br or riosexsite. Net. So, the most beautiful termas girls make the change because they can get all the fee for showing up at a stranger's door and fode for 2 hours, maybe get their own car, maybe work 2 times a day if live in Campo Grande, or 4 times a day if live in Ipanema or Lapa.

So, a few months ago, I am in Ipanema with a 4x4 girl who has been described on this website, and on the brazilian websites (hotforum) as a top girl. In the C-class, B-class, or A-class. The question is how does a gringo with only portugese learned from 13 trips get into that bunda?

Start with the rigidity of the class system. Education is key to upward mobility. The best universities in Brazil are the federal institutions, or some religious schools. To get into them, you need to pass a rigorous 4-day exam at the age of 18. To pass those exams, you need special preparation. The A-class Brazilionaires are paying private school so their kids pass those exams. Graduation from one of those top schools in turn means a job with 10, 000R / month. A-class Brazilians are marrying A-class Brazilians, and in both sexes, there are always the top 10% in looks and attractiveness.

What you are getting in the termas and freelancers is the top 10% attractiveness in the D-class Brazilians, but girls who have built up big emotional scars, though great in bed.

So, I don't have the answer. But I am working on it. Career flexibility, and the ability to be in Brazil for the longer term are things that are ramping up in my situation.

Here is something that I am doing, which is promising. There are a few termas girls that I knew in that job; got their number, etc. Now on facebook friends. But they are no longer working in the terma, and they are getting an education. Not a top school, but a school. They are at that age where their sex drive is still on full throttle. Next time, I am looking to have that girl or two for multiple pernoites.

As for lodging, the Barao do Flamengo may not be right, but it is a good base. Look at a map. 4 subway stops to 4x4 (Uruguania stop) , or 4 subway stops to Ipanema Beach (General Osorio). But it is the connecting bus to a university at Leblon / Gavea, or a barca to Niteroi where the next level is to be had. I have this feeling that a top 10% D-class or C-class Brasileira would like the idea of checking out a few top motels in Gavea, or maybe a little trip to Buzios.

I have seen that the A-class Brazilians celebrate Revelion from far out on the tip of Niteroi on their own more exclusive beaches where they watch the fireworks on Copacobana beach from across Guanabara bay. Those women are just as smoking hot, but they have grandfathers who have some serious coin jingling in their jeans. For social proprietary reasons, I wasn't hitting those Brasileiras, but rather the D-class girls back in Centro.
