I think Meg Ryan was too young at the time, and her peak point was her role in When Harry met Sally. Which came out few years after Top Gun so the added years made her more womanly.

For me (for screen portrayal), the female mechanic character, Bonnie on Knight Rider had a draw. Something about the role of a feminine female tech savy nerd character that maintains the car. She had the 70's, early 80's look which I find to be attractive. I also have a thing for retro looks, but for me, 70's, early 80's. I like the hair styles, and general styles from back then seems sexy. To me, late 80's, early 90's bad times.

80's had some hot actresses like Heather Locklier, Erin Gray in her Buck Rogers days, or the Wonder Woman chick. Looking back I think Brook Shields was one of the most beautiful woman back in the days in her prime when young.

Erika Eleniak in her Baywatch times and Playboy centerfold. Pamela Anderson had her prime when young as well.
