(They call them Laoshifu or Old Teacher, who might actually be certified to practice Chinese Medicine)

Just keep that in mind, I know many guys who don't like to be touched by male masseuses even when they are not expecting a happy ending.

But I would agree Congen is indeed one of the better places to get a legit massage in Shanghai.

Generally I stay on the other side of the river. This time I am at the Westin Hotel at the bund on the Huangpu area. Looking for clean, safe massage place. No Crappy BBS but a nice place with a line up not too far from my hotel. Please give me advice. No interested in Manhattans or other clubs. What a simple 90 minute experience.

You can try Top Sauna club at the Huaihai Middle road.

It's about 500m-1km from the Line one metro. Or you can take the cab. It must be ok to good depending on your expectations. But at this time of the year, lineup will be difficult.
