Then work from there. Most of the casas in the centro area are not close to nice hotels, or family style hotels, at least none that I know of. Overall, not being moralistic or anything like that, but it doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Why not just enjoy the time with family, not sure if you have children with you, but anyway. Whatever you do be careful.
