My first post this is. I have't tried this, but just as an idea if you are not into being extorted in these Go-Go bars, it seems like you can easily pick up girls in the Makati area around the Landmark mall. They hang out at the Starbuck's on Dela Rosa and Rizal Drive and will wave at you or approach you, it's a sure bet.

On one of the pedestrian overpasses over Makati Ave to Greenbelt Park, a girl got into my way asking me "can I go with you?". But I didn't know how to react and just went on. Then finally around that small park on Rizal and North Drive I saw two really pretty girls there, and it was very, very tempting. So, I had a cigaret close by hoping they might approach me and I could at least chat a bit. But they didn't come. However, as I walked by them they "hello"-ed me as I expected.

But I'm not a real monger, have business associates staying with me in the same hotel and didn't want to run into them with the girls. I'm kind of shy and wasn't up to it tonight because I have to get up early tomorrow. So I just passed by. Perhaps a shame from a monger's viewpoint, the one was really pretty as far as I could see.

If I were into it, I would have availed of this offer. Perhaps next time when I am here alone. To me this seems far more straight-forward than these bars, simply cutting out drinks and barfine and instead get right down to it. The cozy part of the night is longer that way also, as it is only 10 pm.

The hotel makes a big deal about being careful with "people" who approach you. So I don't know if some of those are scams, particularly because there were also a lot of local guys hanging out. What's the risk?

I just received an email from the Peninsula hotel regarding my confirmed four-day stay next week. For whatever reason, they lowered the agreed upon rate of $135 to $95! No explanation given. Can business be this bad? Its a great hotel: luxurious appointments including beds that are very comfortable, lots of restaurants, and a large outdoor pool. The girls don't want to leave.

Whats kind of funny is that on their site, instead of the usual Mr or Mrs, they have a long list of salutations including, President, colonel, viceroy, duke general etc. Testimony to the clientele that frequent the place I guess. I searched the list long and hard. Couldn't find a salutation for 'monger'. Oh well! Recognition will have to come in the sack.

I didn't find a salutation for Junior either. Or Dear Rastafarian. Or Face Pisser. Or Tee It Up. Or Dashing Don.

Sorry guys. I couldn't resist that one. Hope the virus doesn't spread from the ineptly named 'General Info' section.

Anyway, the internet girls are all lined up. EDSA is a short ride away. Let the games begin.

When sated, I enjoy the LA Cafe. Its like when you just can't bang another piece of ass, you head over to the hedonistic LA Cafe. Best enjoyed with another punter or punters, lots of drinks and stories. The great thing about short trips is that you are constantly comparing your circumstances in the PI with what you are used to at home. And revelling in it. Lets face it, pussy in the US generally means committment, a mortgage, social mores, and often; an expensive divorce. Not so in the PI.

At the risk of antagonizing the low budget crowd, I'll admit to being generous to the filipinas and spoiling them. By and large, the filipinas are a good hearted lot. And I appreciate having a place to go to like the PI.

You be as generous as you want - good for you and for them. I've never figured out these guys who winge about big spenders. "Oh, you're raising the prices for everyone else!" Yea, how many sweeties get tempted when they hear about big sister's sugar daddy...yea, spend that money.....

Hope we can share stories someday at LA Cafe, or some other appropriately sleezy place.

After a long closure, Foxys bar has reopened. It is not only one of the largest bars in the Burgoss area, when I was there Saturday, it had some excellent tallent! They were able to take some of the hottest girls from the other bars for their reopening, and also find some new tallent. It is an easy bar to miss as it is not on burgoss st, but just off the street on Kalayaan st. It was hard for me to chose which girl to barfine, but I was finally able to make my choice.

I'm going to be in Manila for business in mid-Sept and am planning on staying in Makati, but would like to visit some of the KTVs (Stardust, Pegasus, etc.) and possibly take someone back to my hotel. But I'm not sure how far it would be by taxi? Does anyone know?

If I recall correctly the trip by taxi is about half an hour after 8 pm. Rush hour is more or less from 4-7 pm, and home after midnight should be maybe only 20 minutes.

You can get taxi from Makati to Quezon Ave bars for about $3 meter and it takes about thirty minutes. You can easily flag a taxi at the clubs there to return to Makati at any time of the night. The club can assist you there too.

Tommygold is right. Leave after 8 and you'll get there quicker. Stardust closes around 330AM and plenty of taxis outside. Make sure the taxi driver starts the meter, a few will try to charge you more on the side.

Not sure about takeout from Stardust but you can pretty do everything in their VIP room.

The barfine in Foxys, like most of the Burgos places, is 3,000. However, you if you are buying more than one ladies drink, you can usually get the cost of the ladies drinks taken off the barfine if you speak to mamasan FIRST. If you want to get her drunk, you can usually buy 10 ladies drinks and not pay a barfine. It is then 1,500 or 2,000 for the girl short time. Add another 500 or 1000 for overnight.
