I went to 18 today (first time sauna goer) and was blown away by the selection and experience. I was wondering if there are any other saunas that top 18 -- I've read some things about Rio and Emperor being the other high end sauna places.

Assuming that price isn't an issue, which sauna in Macau would you say is the best high-end establishment? Top in girl selection/looks? Top in service/venue?

I have been more than satisfied about the quality and services of Rio.
I even wonder why I book a room at the hotel by the time I spent in the sauna when off work, lol!

I would not classify Emperor with 18 and Rio (I assume you are talking about Excellent Sauna at the Grand Emperor).

Having said that, I find places like Golden, Sanado, Boss, Excellent etc. (i.e. mid tier saunas) to be better than 18 and Rio. They have plenty of nice looking girls and the atmosphere is less sterile than at Rio and 18. In these places it is not unusual for the girls to mingle and talk to customers which is a good way to establish f.ex. if you have a common lanuage you can communicate etc. They are also about 30-40% less expensive than Rio and 18.

May-June Sauna Visits

Purchased a combo ticket for East sauna and Sanado sauna for about HK$ 3100 (maybe HK$3300) at Shun Tak. The package included 20 minutes of feeling up a girl in the jacuzzi and 1 hour of karaoke with a girl and 6 beers at East Spa (although they didn't mention that the girl only stayed for half an hour without paying extra). It also included 3 massages at Sanado (in addition to the sex massage)- one 108 pataca massage, one 158 pataca massage, and a 45 minute Thai massage.

Arrived in Macau, took the shuttle to the Sands and dropped off my luggage there. Went to the East Spa (in the Waldo Hotel), which was very nice and has WiFi but the upstairs lounge area is quite small. When I entered the jacuzzi area I went into the jacuzzi and one of the girls asked if I wanted her to join me in the jacuzzi. I asked how much that would cost and was told it was part of my package so naturally I said yes. I left Manila quite happy (if interested you may read my report in the proper forum). I got a plane at noon and arrived in Macau about at the end of my visit to South East Asia. Was in Macau last Saturday and went to the above sauna for an experience as I have never been in a Macau sauna. Bought the $1,468 package at the Shun Tak Building and off to Macau in the afternoon. Thought the typhoon might have some impact on the number of visitors but was wrong.
When I arrived around 5:30pm, I was greeted by one of the Indonesian locker girls and the Sanado driver. As this was still early so I asked the driver to take me to Hotel Lisboa for a few games. Not a very good choice on the date by me. I would recommend to come on a week day if you can for better service and attention. The worst thing was that all the beds were gone by the time I finished my session and wanted to sleep so I had to settle with the bench. Woke up the following morning, had some breakfast and a shower before I left Sanado for some sight seeing and might be some more actions with a race track gal at Lisboa.
Anyway, it was an experience for me but I would try another sauna next time.
