Hehe... Yeah, I know I'm a pretty pathetic "lazy bastard" for not taking off my pants. She certainly deserved at least that. Went back there again to La Luna earlier today to find her or some other "similiar" action. Now that was also another pathetic scene (as others have stated). Man, this after the holiday situation truly sucks!

After sampling Costa Rica and China thanks to WSG I have now bought my ticket for QUito for three days next week. Thanks to all who have posted as I have put your reports into one big report.

I want to hunt down a chick that is lactating. Always wanted to do that. It seems most of these girls are young moms. How many of you have found that these girls most of the time are still lactating?

Gearing up for a Chilean entry tomorrow, it is raining like a mofo here in SW Bolivia in the meantime so I thought I would take the time to record some random thoughts.

The thought came to me some weeks ago that the chicas I stumbled across in Quito fuckclubs were of a seasonal nature. That is, I was in Quito from April through September -- the spring and summer months. As a thought to put out there perhaps some (or many) of the girls prefer these months to travel from home and hit the clubs for cash, whereas in winter there might be a greater tendency to stay in their home towns with family, children, etc. I know I prefer to travel in warm temperatures rather than freezing ones. Same applies for work.

I never thought of applying the 'seasonal nature' bit to holidays but from Maltrufio's report, and Bobisee's confirmation, it seems wise to avoid the big holidays like Christmas and New Year.

Also, more tongue-in-cheek, another reason to wait for the summer months is for the current wave of high schoolers to graduate and make their eighteenth birthdays. I know I am giving it a full cycle or two should I suddenly find myself with violent urges to re-visit Quito. Food for thought. ;-)

If Ecuador is anything like Colombia it has a Feb-Nov academic calendar there as opposed to Sept-June like in North America. So December and January are the big family time and business of any king (including mongering) is way down.

Any feedback on the Hostal Tulamanda at av. Colon y Versalles in Quito? The location looks good and the price is right. Will be heading down for a couple of weeks in March.

Check for possible noise issues (cars) colon is a major avenue. I keep mentioning hotel rincon escandavino on baquerizo moreno off of 6 de deciembre ($16/$25) but knowone has gone besides me.

There are way too many options for hotels in quito thats why I love it ....you could spend a month there with maid service for nothing.

The hostal you mention (spelled incorrectly - replace the L with a T) doubles as a spanish school which can be quite convenient. It sits back about 25 meters from the main street with business in another building in front of it blocking out some of the busy street noise and activity. The rooms are at least ok with some having nice views. The kitchen while well stocked is small and not very clean as roaches or insecticides are a constant problem. Like many hostal managements, they are/were cheapskates with their internet services -- usually not wanting to invest in a wireless router and/or adequate bandwidth from a decent ISP -- even if it would increase their competiveness with other hostals/schools. An upside to this place is that it's closer to more of the cheaper fuckclubs (in walking distance) than in the Gringoville (a 10-15 minute walk). Also, most of students (and spanish teachers) tend to be younger and female. ;) The nightly cost was $10 for a room with a private bath, but one should try to negociate a better price if staying for more than a few days (as many hostals cost less). I believe that the chongo La Fragata sits nearly directly behind the hostal on the next parallel street as one can hear the music playing quite late into the night.

Food is generally a good deal -- some healthy/tasty/local/foreign/etc, others not. Expect (and prepare yourself) that you may get diarrhea as many Northerners do getting used to certain common bacterias here. Mine lasted for 2 months off & on.

Crime is worse in the tourist areas and for those who appear foreign/naive/vulnerable/etc.
Nighttime is relatively safer in many other parts of the country, but more care is needed in certain sectors of the larger cities. Cuenca felt quite safe.

Nightclubs? Aside from chongos, just walk around the Mariscal in the evenings of Thurs, Fri, Sat. They are everywhere there and varied. Other nights (and days) they are either slow or closed. Most cater to people of under 30yo. Can't say much of outside the area other than that they do exist for sure.

Are there any strip clubs in Quito (where girls dance nude)?

I've read Tung's reports about night places in Quito, but are these strip clubs or just casas that are open at night?

Anybody ever have success with any of the girls in the casinos? Anyone ever work out of there?

Finally, anybody have a favorite casino to play in?

[b]-- plaza santo domingo have been chase away by police but some i have seen walking or hanging around 2 or 3 blocks to the northeast of the plaza towards the la marin ecovia bus station. i'd guess they are around many areas near there and elsewheres rep001tering when the cops come rolling. [/b]

(59-60) la luna complex (dubbed the "fuck factory" by siempre adelante), a famous truck driver stop-in. s57-348 avenida pedro vicente (pv) maldonado, nearest number cross-street being s58, nearest name cross-street being leonidas dubles (some four blocks north of the club). $1 entry to both clubs gets you a small beer, $1.50 large beers thereafter. $7 chicas. earliest i ever hit coco bongos was 1:30pm and i was the first chico present. suspect open from 1pm to 2-3am. (siempre adelante, post322; followed up by tungurahua, post380)

to get here catch the trolebus on 10 de agosto to the south bus terminal / cc recreo shopping mall. exit the bus terminal, cross the street and wait for a street bus with a small sign in the window reading "sto tomas (1 or 2)" and " guamani." the bus takes about 30 minutes to reach la luna (see times below). siempre adds a taxi to/from here from gringolandia is $10.

4:45pm left cc recreo / south bus terminal
5:00pm passed condorito bar
5:06pm passed caribes
5:13pm arrived at la luna

the bar towards the rear of the complex is named son cubano. the bar itself is a small warehouse with some twenty rooms ringing the outside, a three-pronged stage in the center of the room.

the bar next door is named coco bongos. multi-levelled it has a little more character than son cubano, better chicas, more people activity to watch. some twenty five rooms ring the outside the club (fuckrooms are smaller than those of son cubano though).

[b]-- la luna has an added club to the already coco bongos & son cubano. it's called [u]azucar.[/u] inside is better lit than the other two. there appeared to have at least 8 ladies working, some quite cute. i can't recall what the entrance, drinks, ficha prices as i was in and out. i'd guess it's similiar to the other 2 clubs which btw, raised their entrance fee to $1.50. (26) I have a friend who lives near by this, he told me this place is gone for good, the "leader" of this hood is a woman, and she found her husband doing some flexxing with some of the girls inside, so "as long as she lives this place wont open again" she said

How do i "read them" Is Luis Cordero the name of the street, and N217 the number ?
What does Y means and 10 de Augusto is that the name of another crosssing street ?

I wish someone could present i map with the location of some fuckclubs.
