The City Lodge V & A is a nice little 3 stars hotel. Rooms are very nice, on par with even 4 and 5 star hotel rooms. The hotel is girl-friendly although if the girl spends the night you might be charged for the extra person.

In the City Lodge I discovered that each Vodacom SIM card comes with 1 hour of free internet. The SIM cards cost about 1-2 rand, depending where you buy them. So I bought a stack back then. Logging on and off, it got me through a couple of days of low-cost internet.
I use 3G on Vodacom now, I think it was 300-400 rand for 1GB, serves about 1 week, right.

For girls I mostly frequent Summit and Royal Park hotel. Both in the Berea/Hillbrow area. Royal Park redesigned recently and last night it was packing with action around 9PM. 7-10PM seem to be the best time to go for that place.

I must really advise NEVER to go to Hilbrow or Berea! Exactly these areas are even mentioned by the USA and other Governments to NOT visit during the worldcup.

I had to go there a couple of times during the last weeks and I always was very happy to be back in safer places! The problem is, that it is packed with people, after dark it is going hectic, in some areas people are running around on the streets, taxis are everywhere and sometimes blocking the streets. With a considerable %-tage of armed criminals around, you just have to be lucky!

Because. You might get stuck in traffic and IF somebody wants to do something, you have know chance to excape!

I am in Johannesburg now since almost 2 years and I have learned to go to nearly every place, having driven about 20 000 km in the city! I go to downtown, to the suburbs in the south, to some areas in Yoville, but deeper Yoville, Berea and Hillbrow is NOT OK for the mongerer! There are plenty other places where you can find gorgeous girls. I do not know about professionals as I do not visit these places with no passion and exaggerated prices.
