Why would anyone go to PP, Cambodia if they could go to Bangkok instead?
Was just trying to experience the monger-side of PP, but I guess having only 2 days just didn't do it justice. I'll give it another try later.

And if you really want to take a girl off the market, it is only 1/3 to 1/4 the cost than to do the same with a Thai Girl or a filipina.
thanks. if they check the girls id that's actually a benefit. i choose the bougainvillier because sisowath quay is close to the action and the suites have a stunning view overlooking the mekong river. plus, for additional 5$ you have reliable broadband internet which i need and a room safe.
i can let you know how it's been when i'm back.
well, i have to correct myself. bougainvillier hotel is nice and staff friendly, but not girl friendly.
thing is, 70 to 80 % of the girls (especially in martini's and sharky's) do not have id-cards. no id-card, no girl. i once bribed the security guy with 5 $, but he insisted on maximum of one hour. and that's not wahy you take a girl out.
also, be warned: the building right next to the bougainvillier is under heavy reconstruction. from 8 am to 5 pm there is so much noise that you can't talk on the phone or even hear yourself think. this is not the fault of the hotel, although they knew it when i booked and said nothing. i had to move out yesterday, couldn't stand the noise. as it is main seasons everything in phnom penh is booked out, so it had to be the interconti for the double cost. at least they're more girl friendly here. prices seem to go up here lately, probably because of much traffic from thailand diverting here. girls demand 20$ for short time, although most will still settle for 15 $. tuk-tuk driver scams gotten worse, especially late at night drivers demand 4 or 5 $ out of martini's. hire a good driver for the whole afternoon, 7 to 10 usd. it's worth it. i may be wrong, but to me it appears like there are a lot more **** girls working since i've been here the last time in july. even in martini"s the mama-san's try to hook you up with girls which are **** (and yes, they are. simply ask the girl for her age, compliment her on how gorgeous she looks and then ask her for her chinese horoscope. 99% of all case this won't match with the birthday she's told you before. one girl yesterday appeared to be no older than 13). back off, ngo people are everywhere. i may report more when i have the time.

Just come back from a few days on a business trip in PP. Had a lot of meetings during the day but as I was travelling alone I was free in the evening to do what I wanted.
First night I had dinner with some friends and afterwards, as time was getting on, went for the easy option of Cyrecee. Had visisted once before back in August and nothing seemed to have changed in operational terms though prices semed to have gone up a touch. Was swamped with girls as I came through the door. Standard was 6-7 (YMMV) and soon had selected two and went upstairs. Was in the room almost at the top which had no shower. We all had to go up another floor for that. Girls were good and enthusiastic. Can't fault the place, offers an excellent no fuss service and I had a lot of fun.
Next night went over to Walkabout to check it out. Never been before and did not intend to pick up here. Was quite early (say 8pm) but a reasonable number of girls some of very high standard. Was approached a number of times but refused. Didn't enquire on prices. Food was crap.
Decided to move on and headed to Bar 104. Loved it. Girls, once again in my opinion, of very high standard, though some a bit plump. My eye was caught by what I rated an 8 who turned out to be Vietnamese. Her and some firends sat with me and we had a few laughs. They weren't too pushy for drinks and had a good time. I wan't quite sure of the form here so at about 11pm just whispered to the Viet girl asking if she wanted to come back to my hotel. She said yes and went off to get changed. No problem with bar fines or anything like that. So much easier than the Ha Bai Trung bars in HCMC. Back at the hotel she turns out to be the nearest I have ever come across to a nyphomaniac. No rest that night and a great GFE. She left at 9am when I had to start work
Was knackered so although I went back to 104 the next night I didn't take her out again as needed to sleep.
Looking forward to my next trip in the New Year.

c'u, kenny
this post reveals a few of the reasons {id, booked up, ngo, ****, etc}
why bkk is a superior choice to pp.
Buisness, sight seeing and places like Sophie's that don't exist in Bangkok and the Khmer girls are smaller in size, gentler in look and different from the Thai girls.
Those sound like valid reasons for some people preferring PP over BKK.
Personally I am in SE Asia for one purpose, and it's not sight seeing, unless you are talking about the meat that you don't eat.
Sophies, the BJ bar where several ladies take turns sucking your bare dick for two minutes each? Not my thing, but to each their own. I'm not so sure this kind of fun isn't available in a bar in Pattaya. In BKK one could always negotiate a deal with several girls for the same type of session, though probably pay much more.
Smaller size would be of interest to me. On a recent visa run to PP airport I noticed that most of the people were smaller, although I have seen quite a few women this size in BKK, and have had no problem getting together with some.
I cannot comment on the gentler, different look of Khmer females, but maybe after checking out the photo section I'll have an idea. At the airport I saw at least two very attractive young ladies working in food services. The abundance of Vietnamese might be even more of an attraction to spend some time in this country.
Mmm, maybe because the khmer are nicer people, it is cheaper, and the girls don't have tatoos and attitude.
And the police are not out to entrap or arrest people for anything, that's important to me.
Nicer certainly goes a long ways. Though I don't find the Thai people so bad, I mainly deal with and spend time with the P4P ladies. While many of them have attitude issues or are not submissive, my modus operandi is to weed through the rotten apples till I find some worth sticking to. Then whenever I get horny I simply phone one to cum to my hotel room.
But I don't know how well this plan would fare in Penom Penh. To succeed ideally the ladies would need a phone and to be allowed into my hotel room for several hours at a time. Failing that they would need to be able to contact me in some way and stay at least one hour. Being able to speak a modicum of English wouldn't hurt either.
I understand that PP is generally cheaper than BKK. As a Canadian who can buy USD at at least par now, it is especially economical, since the USD along with the Riel is the currency of Cambodia. However reading about $30 ST and the same for a room does not inspire confidence that I will get a deal in PP, since I am typicly paying that in BKK. Would the service and accomodation be much better for those prices in PP?
Regarding the police in BKK, I have read that some like to pull over drivers for nothing and threaten them with a fine they can pay on the spot or at the cop shop. Aside from that I am not aware of any concerns for travellers and have not had any trouble. There are also stories about the tourist police being very helpful. PP, on the other hand, concerns me, with the recent report in this thread of one who was imprisoned and bled of his finances. Though perhaps that was his own fault for illegally taking nude photos of Cambodian women?
Because poor guys like me can't afford anything else! If you only have $50 a day to live on, you have to spend it wisely. Even in Pattaya, it takes a minimum of $30 for a night with a girl. If I go to cambo, I can get a girl for $10 a night. That leaves a lot left over for my living expenses. I can get LT every single night like that and it'd be within my budget. Could you do that in Bangkok?
Very unlikely for any half decent looking P4P chick. Maybe some 60 year old grandma would take you up on it. What are you getting for $10 LT? I guess that same babe would be $5 ST.
And if you really want to take a girl off the market, it is only 1/3 to 1/4 the cost than to do the same with a Thai Girl or a filipina.
Does off the market mean that she lives with you 24 hours a day like a girlfriend or wife? Or can you just see her every day when you're horny and she goes home after the deed is done, or maybe after dinner and a movie?
Speaking of movies, BKK has many theatres and English TV channels. In my area there are internet cafes and Seven Elevens every block, plus many Western restaurants nearby. My hotel is very convenient, located within the huge P4P scene and offers laundry and food services. I have no worries about the security of my person or stuff, and understand that hotel security will side with me if a problem arises with a lady. The security guards take incuming ladies ID cards.
How does PP compare? Can one buy a DVD player there to hook up to the TV in their hotel room?

thanks for the heads up. looks like i need to rebook somewhere else.
Just got back from 5 days in Phnom Penh and would give this hotel 2 thumbs up.
25 bucks a night felt like a bargain. Rooms like this in the French Quarter would cost 10 times that amount. Nice pool but, too cold for me. No restaurant even though they advertise one. Room service was cheap from a restaurant near by. 3 bucks a meal. The front desk will order for you. A few pics enclosed.
Later, Saibb

I like it there and have visited around 5 times now. If you don't like it after a few days you can return to Thailand.
Alot more girls are getting phones and the $25 rooms at the Angkor international Hotel are only $10 on 4th floor. In some hotels without a lift the higher the floor the deeper the discount. 5 minute walk to by the riverfront.
The bars on the riverfront (most are advertised in the free tour booklets) are within walking distance and good chance of finding girls that can speak English. $20 and up depending on the girl and your negotiating skills.
My advise would be on the 1st day or 2 hire a Driver with a car and pay $20-25 to get the lay of the land.

Later, Saibb
The double doors next to the reception is into the dinning room. Breakfast there (I think included in room?), but don't think they have a resturant as such.
It got the name when some joker dropped a grenade in to the foyer in the 1990s, it blew up but no one were killed. I suppose that was "big luck"!
I was in PP a few weeks ago. Not much punting possible in my circumstances but the Walkabout seemed to have the best selection for a long time. Went to Martinies which also seemed ok. Maybe things are getting a bit better in PP now? On the not so good side the river resturants on the other side of the bridge had no action at all only food! The selection in Sophies did not seem as good as last time. I missed Srey Phea my favorite. Never went to Sharkies this time but did do a bit of brothel stuff in Toul Kork and on the toll road near the airport (271 I think it is).
I have stayed at Big Luck, New York, Asia Hotel, Flamingos and Lucky Lucky. I find Flamingos best value for money and best position. However the suite rooms in Asia Hotel are interesting with mirror walls and ceiling. New York good for the 7th floor MP. Easy but a bit expensive for what it is. The attraction of Lucky Lucky is that it is only $10 incl AC but out of the way and pretty basic rooms. Big Luck has got decent rooms but I don't think it got that little bit of "extra" the other places have.
